INSTRUCTION MANUAL

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Please make sure that your house installation voltage corres onds
to the voltage marked on the a liance.
Mains su ly: 230 – 240V ~ 50 Hz – AC only
Power rating: 1100 Watts

BEFORE INITIAL USE AND PREPARATION
Carefully un ack the vacuum cleaner and remove all acking
material from the a liance. A ro riately dis ose of lastic bags
and acking materials. These may be a danger risk to small
children.
Connect the two extension tubes together using the ta er lock.
Connect the large end of the extension tubes onto the floor brush.
Connect the handle of the hose i e onto the end of the extension
tube assembly.
Insert the other end of the flexible hose into the vacuum cleaner
outlet socket. Ensure that the remaining lugs cli into lace.
O en the to cover and check that a dust bag has been correctly
fitted to the vacuum cleaner. Do not use vacuum cleaner without a
dust bag. Close to cover.
The vacuum cleaner is now ready for use.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Carry the vacuum cleaner to the area to be vacuumed.
Extend or retract the brush in the floor tool as required for
the ty e of floor to be vacuumed. Extend brush for hard
floors such as tiles or wood and retract for rugs and car et.
Fully uncoil the su ly cord from the vacuum cleaner. Do
not use unless the cord is fully uncoiled.
Insert the ower lug into a mains outlet corres onding
with the vacuum cleaner requirements of 230 – 240V ~ 50
Hz - AC only.
Switch on ower at the mains outlet.
Switch the on/off switch to start or sto the vacuum
cleaner.
The vacuum cleaner has a manual air flow regulator
attached to the hose handle. This is used to briefly lower
the suction level during o eration; the further o en the
regulator the weaker the suction ower.
If the vacuum cleaner becomes less efficient than normal,
check the bag full indicator on the to cover. If the indicator
is visible when vacuum cleaner is on, the dust bag requires
em tying. O en the to cover; slide the dust bag out.
Dis ose of the contents in the dust bag and re lace.
Ensure that the inlet o ening of the dust bag is ro erly
aligned with the o ening of the hose connection entry.
Close the to cover and the vacuum is ready for use.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
For your safety when using electrical a liances, basic safety
recautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Carefully read these instructions before using your
a liance for the first time.
2. Kee out of reach of children. This a liance is not
intended for use by young children or infirm ersons
without su ervision. Young children must be su ervised to
ensure that they do not lay with the a liance.
3. This roduct has been designed for general household
cleaning only.
4. VERY IMPORTANT: To rotect against the risk of electric
shock, do not immerse a liance, lug, or cord set in water
or other liquids. Do not use near washbasins or sinks.
Ensure that the outside of the a liance does not get wet
(water s lashes etc.) and do not use it with wet hands.
Do not use the a liance to vacuum liquid.
5. Do not vacuum ins, needles, drawing ins, string or
similar objects.
6. Do not vacuum lit cigarettes, embers, cinders or hot ash.
7. Do not vacuum fine abrasive dust articles such as cement
dust, lime, and gib board residue as such articles will
enter and damage the motor.
8. Un lug from mains outlet when a liance is not in use, in
storage, before attaching or removing accessories, and
before cleaning.
9. An a liance dro ed or damaged should not be used until
examined by a service engineer.
10. Do not abuse the ower cord. Never carry the a liance by
the cord or yank it to disconnect it from the mains outlet.
Disconnect the ower cord from the mains outlet by
gras ing the lug and ulling it out.
11. Do not run over the mains lead with the vacuum. A
damaged cord must be re laced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a suitably qualified erson in order to avoid
a hazard.
12. Do not ermit the mains lead to come in contact with hot
objects. Please ask a service engineer to re lace a worn or
damaged mains lead immediately with an a roved lead of
the same size and ty e.
13. If using an extension cord with your a liance, check that
it is correctly wired and rated for its use.
14. The a liance should not be laced near a hot gas or
electrical burner.
15. An a liance should never be left unattended when lugged
in.
16. Use this a liance only for its intended use. Use only
genuine attachments su lied by an authorised service –
dealer.
17. This a liance is intended for household use only and not
for commercial or industrial use.
18. If a liance is to be used by a third arty, lease su ly the
instruction manual with it.
19. No liability can be acce ted for any damage caused by non-
com liance with these instructions or any other im ro er
use or mishandling.
CAUTION
Do not attem t to service this a liance yourself. Refer servicing
to qualified service ersonnel.
CARE AND CLEANING
To clean the outer surface of the vacuum cleaner, use a soft
dam cloth and dry the a liance afterwards with a dry
towel. Ensure that no moisture enters the a liance.
Stubborn s ots can be cleaned with a cloth moistened with
mild liquid detergent. Do not use solvents to clean lastic
arts. Liquids such as solvents, etrol and oils that contain
chemical substances may damage, corrode or destroy the
lastic arts of the a liance.
Do not ut any detergents or any cleaning agents into the
vacuum cleaner.
Clean only after un lugging the vacuum cleaner from the
mains su ly.
Kee the ventilation slots on the vacuum cleaner clean to
revent the a liance from overheating.
Regularly clean the air intake filter (located inside vacuum
cleaner next to the dust bag) and the air outlet filter
(located at the rear of the vacuum cleaner behind the air
outlet grill). Clean both filters by hand in warm soa y
water. Air dry filters before reinstalling. Do not use a hair
dryer or similar a liance to dry the filters.
Do not ex ose the vacuum cleaner to direct sunlight as the
quality of the vacuum cleaner finish may deteriorate.
STORAGE: Un lug vacuum cleaner from the mains outlet. Store
ower su ly cable by wra ing around cord holders, located
under vacuum base. Store in its box or in a dry lace with all of its
accessories.
