FOREWORD
Congratulations on your Verti-Spray purchase! For safe and long-lasting operation of this
Verti-Spray, it is necessary to read and to understand this user manual. It is impossible to
work safely with this machine without complete knowledge of the content of the user manual.
The Verti-Spray is not a machine that works independently. It is the user’s responsibility to
use the correct towing vehicle. The user must also check the towing vehicle/Verti-Spray
combination on safety aspects such as noise level, user instructions and risk analysis.
The following pages deal initially with the general safety instructions. Every user should know
these safety instructions and apply them. At the end of this page, a registration card is
inserted. This registration card should be returned to enable us to deal with potential future
claims.
This user manual lists many instructions that are numbered in sequence. You should follow
this sequence. A is an indication of a safety instruction.
All information and technical specifications provided at the moment that this document is
published are the most recent ones. Design specifications may be changed without prior
notice.
This document is a translation of the original operating instructions.
Upon request, the original operating instructions are available in Dutch.

! SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS !
The Verti-Spray is designed for safe use. This can only be achieved if you completely follow
the safety instructions described in this manual.
Read and understand the manual before you start using the Verti-Spray.
If the machine is not used as described in this manual, this can result in injuries and/or
damage to the Verti-Spray.
1. The user must be an expert in using the machine. The machine should be
professionally adjusted for cultivating the subsoil.
The manufacturer will not accept any liability for unprofessional use and its resulting
damage. All risks occurring with this are entirely at the expense of the user.
Following the use, maintenance and repair instructions prescribed by the
manufacturer is also considered professional use of this machine.
Inspect the area to be treated before using the Verti-Spray.
Remove loose obstacles and avoid irregularities.
2. The Verti-Spray is manufactured according to the latest technical
understanding and is safe to use.
When unskilled people use, maintain or repair the machine, this could result in
injuries to the user and to third parties. This must be avoided!
3. All persons assigned to operate, maintain and repair the Verti-Spray by the
owner must read and completely understand the operation manual and in
particular the chapter of Safety Instructions.
4. The user is obliged to check the Verti-Spray for visible damage and
defects before using the Verti-Spray.
Modifications to the Verti-Spray (including its operations) that have a negative impact
on safety must be rectified immediately.
For safety reasons it is in principle not permitted to make changes or adjustments to
the Verti-Spray (except those approved by the manufacturer).
If modifications to the Verti-Spray have been made, then the current CE marking is
cancelled. The person that has made these modifications has to apply for a new CE
marking himself.
Check the Verti-Spray for loose bolts, nuts and components before every operation.
Always switch off the motor and take the key out of the ignition of the towing
vehicle in carrying out maintenance, adjustments and repairs.
With regard to the safety of the machine and the user, use only original Verti-Spray
parts for maintenance and repairs.
Only authorised technical personnel may carry out repairs to the Verti-Spray.
Keep a record of the repair activities.
5. The general applicable health & safety (Dutch: ARBO) regulations must also
be followed in addition to the instructions in this user manual.
Relevant traffic regulations also apply in case of using public roads.

4
Transporting persons is not permitted!
Do not use the Verti-Spray in the dark, in heavy rain/storm or on slopes with an angle
larger than 20 degrees.
6. All persons that are going to operate the Verti-Spray must be familiar with all
the functions and control elements of the Verti-Spray before starting any work
activities.
Attach the Verti-Spray to the towing vehicle according to the regulations.
(Danger of injuries!)
Check whether you have a clear field of vision –both close by and far away –before
you depart.
During operation, NO persons are allowed within the danger zone of the Verti-
Spray, because there is danger of physical injuries caused by moving components.
Danger Zone means the space within 4 metres from the machine.
Keep a distance of minimum 4 metres!
7. Dress appropriately. Wear sturdy shoes with steel toecaps, long trousers and tie up
long hair. Do not wear loose clothing.
Use the proper personal protection gear according to the applicable health & safety
(Dutch acronym: ARBO) and safety regulations.
! IMPORTANT ! Always follow the instructions/regulations of the

2.0 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Verti-Spray is a machine for spraying large tracks of land and for spraying places that
are difficult to reach.
3.0 FIRST INSTALLATION
When assembling the Verti-Spray, follow the sequence indicated in the Parts Manual at the end of
this manual.
4.0 USING THE VERTI-SPRAY
Before using the Verti-Spray in a location, you should check the following items:
1. Are there loose objects in the field? First remove these objects.
2. Are there slopes? The maximum slope is 20 degrees for this machine.
3. Is there danger of flying objects (e.g., balls) that distract the attention of
the driver? If so, the Verti-Spray CANNOT be used.
4. Is there danger of sinking/sliding away? If so, postpone the processing
until conditions improve.
4.1 ATTACHING THE TOWING VEHICLE
Checking procedure before starting to attach the Verti-Spray.
Check the Verti-Spray for visually discernable damage and
repair this if safe operation of the machine is no longer
guaranteed.
Check whether all the nuts and bolts are tight.
Attach the Verti-Spray to the towing vehicle using the towing hook. Subsequently, connect
the electricity cables by clamping the wire clamps on the battery of the towing vehicle. (Red
to the + terminal)
! IMPORTANT ! To avoid damage to the Verti-Spray: NEVER pull the hoses or
cables to manoeuvre the Verti-Spray in the correct position.

8
4.2 FILLING THE TANK
The tank is filled through the opening at the topside. Attention: Leave the basket strainer in
its lace to prevent contamination.
ALWAYS use the cleanest possible water that has a temperature lower than 50ºC / 122ºF!
If you want to spray water and chemicals, you should fill the tank with approx. 30 litres of
water before pouring the chemicals. After the chemicals-water ratio is correct, this solution
should be mixed. This is done by circulating the solution for at least 15 minutes.
! IMPORTANT ! You should comply with the regulations/legislation for using
chemicals that apply to your country.
Closing the 2 taps, setting the handle behind the red knob (A in Figure 1) to ‘bypass’, and
then turning the pump on will circulated the liquid.
! IMPORTANT !To avoid damage to the pump, turn it on only when there is
liquid in the tank!

9
4.3 SPRAYING
Turning the red knob (B in Figure 1) will set the pressure. Please refer to the tables below to see how
much water you will have to spray at various pressure levels. The figures in the tables are based on
the supplied nozzles and spraying water without additives.

4.4 TRANSPORTING THE VERTI-SPRAY
The user is responsible for transporting the Verti-Spray in back of the vehicle over public
roads. Verify the national legislation regarding the regulations.
You are allowed to drive maximum 12 km/h (7.5 mph) on open fields if the conditions permit
this (taking into account the amount of liquid in the tank, the smoothness of the field, etc.).
A higher speed can be dangerous for the driver and/or the public and can even damage the
machine.
Driving speed is limited to 12 km/h (7.5mph).
It is NOT recommended to drive faster because that will damage or cause excessive wear &
tear to the machine and damage the subsoil.

10
4.5 AFTER USING THE VERTI-SPRAY
If you have sprayed chemicals, the Verti-Spray should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water.
If the Verti-Spray is stored at temperatures lower than 0ºC, the tank of the Verti-Spray should
be drained completely. Opening the cap of the tank (A in Figure 2) and disconnecting the two
hoses from the pump (A and B in Figure 3) will drain the tank.
