• YourEDGEBluetoothsportheadsethasabuilt-inrechargeablelithiumbattery.Before
yourrstuse,pleasechargeitatleast4hourstofullychargethelithiumbattery.
ConnecttheenclosedUSBcabledirectlytoaUSBwallchargeroryourcomputerto
charge.(Wesuggestthatyounotusethecarchargerfortherstcharge)Afterthis
initialcharge,anormalre-chargeof1-2hoursshouldbeenough.Whenchargingyour
EDGE,thebluelightwillbeon;whenthebatteryisfullthebluelightwillturnoff.Afully
chargedbatterycansupportabout5-7hoursofcontinuousmusicortalk.

3. How to Pair to Bluetooth Devices:
PairingisaprocesstoconnectingBluetoothdevicestoeachothersothatthey
communicate.Itwillcreateapermanentandsafelinkbetweenyourdevicesandprovide
themwithquickBluetoothlinkwithoutusinganypassword.
• Firststep:WithyourEDGEpoweredoff,pressS4buttonandholdforabout8-10
secondsuntilred&blueLEDlightsstartquicklyflashingalternately,whichindicates
you are in pairing mode.
• Secondstep:Whileinparingmode,searchfor“RedFoxEDGE”onyourBluetoothdevice.
• Thirdstep:IfyouareaskedtoenteraPin-Code,use0000.
• Fourthstep:Whenpairingissuccessfulyouwillhear2beepsontheheadsetand
thered&blueLEDlightswillbegintoflashslowly,single&stereoareconnected
successfully.
Note:
If the EDGE cannot nd the pairing device within 3 minutes, it will automatically shutdown.
If you have not put the EDGE in pairing mode, your mobile phone or other Bluetooth device cannot
nd the EDGE, please insure the EDGE is in pairing status and your phone or other Bluetooth
device is in Bluetooth search mode.
4. Start-up and Shutdown:
• ToturnonyourEDGE:WiththeEDGEturnedoff:PressS4keyfor4-6seconds,thered
andbluelightswillcomeonandyouwillhear2beepsontheheadset.ReleasetheS4
key.

• ToturnoffyourEDGE:PressS4key3-4seconds,thered&bluelightsflashquickly
onetime,theheadsetbeepsonceandthelightsturnoff.WhenSearchingfor
equipmentorwhennodeviceisinrangeoftheheadset,itwillautomaticallyshutdown
afternotmakingaconnectionin1minute.
e. BAsIc use:
Dial, Talk, and End Phone Calls:
• Dialacall:Dialthecallusingthephone’skeypad,orpressS1twicetoactivateSIRIand
someothervoicedialprogramssothatyoucanvoicedialthroughyourEDGE.
• Answeranincomingcall:IfyouareenjoyingmusicorotheraudioonyourEDGEand
youreceiveacall,yourmusicoraudiowillautomaticallypauseandyouwillhearthe
ring.Pressthephonebutton(S4)oncetoanswerthecall,presstheplay/pausebutton
(S1)foronesecondtoignorethecall.Whenyourcallendsyourmusicoraudiowill
automaticallyresume.YourEDGEhasabuiltinmic,justspeakinyournormalvoiceand
thepartyyouarespeakingtowillhearyouclearly.Ifyouarenotlisteningtootheraudio
andreceiveacallwhilepairedtoyourEDGE,simplypressthephonebutton(S4)onceto
answer the call.
• Endcall:Pressthephonebutton(S4)oncetoendthecall,orwaitfortheotherpartyto
disconnect.
• NOTE: During a phone call you can adjust the volume by using the volume up or down buttons (S5
or S6)

• NOTE:：Based on different Bluetooth versions and rmware for different devices, if the EDGE is
left in stand-by mode, the Bluetooth connection may be automatically cut off. Simply power the
EDGE off, then back on, or go to settings on your device and select RedFox EDGE to reconnect.

F. IMPortAnt InForMAtIon:
Troubleshoot and LED Indicators:
• Redlightflashesslowly:TheEDGEislowonpower,pleaseturnoffandchargeitas
soonaspossible.
• Theheadsetwillnotbestart-upafterchargingfor20minutes:TheEDGEneedstobe
chargedforatleast40minutesforstart-up.
• NoindicatorLEDduringcharge:Ifthebatterypowerwascompletelydrained,orifyou
havenotusedyourEDGEforalongtime,whenyouinitiallytrytochargetheEDGEthere

• NosoundontheEDGE:
1.MakesuretheEDGEhadbeenpairedsuccessfullywiththeaudiodevice.
2.MakesuretheEDGEhadbeenpoweredon.
3.MakesurethedistancebetweentheEDGEandaudiodevicedoesnotexceed10
meters.
4.Makesureyouraudiodeviceischargedandpoweredon.
5.SomebrandsofsmartphonesonlysupportoneBluetoothheadsetatatime.If
morethanoneBluetoothheadsetispairedtoyoursmartphone,theconnectionmaybe
interrupted.
• Afterfullycharging,whydoesmyEDGEnotworkwithmymobile?:Makesureyour
mobile’sBluetoothisonandpairedwithyourEDGE.
• CanmyEDGEworkwithanyphone?:No.Itcanonlyworkwithphonewhichhas
Bluetooth.
• WhatistheeffectivedistanceforEDGEandaBluetoothdevice?:The EDGE operates
underClassIIstandardswithaneffectivedistanceis10meters,butthatmayvary
dependingonthespecicenvironmentyouareinandyourdevicesspecications.
SomeBluetoothdeviceseffectivedistancemaybelessthan10meters.
• WhenmyBluetoothdeviceissearchingtheEDGE,whydoseveralBluetoothdevices
appear?:Wheninsearchmode,yourphoneorBluetoothdevicewillsearchforall
Bluetoothtransmitterswithinrange.OnceyourphoneorBluetoothdevicehasscanned
foractivedevices,“RedFoxEDGE”willappearonyourphoneorBluetoothdevicesoyou
canbesureyouarepairingtothecorrectdevice.
• Whycan’tmyphoneorBluetoothdevicendmyEDGE?:IfyourEDGEisn’tinpairing
mode,yourphoneorBluetoothdevicecannotndit.Beforeusingyourphoneor
BluetoothdevicetosearchfortheEDGE,makesuretheEDGEisinpairingmode.(Refer
toD3inthisuser’smanualfordetailedinstructions).
• DoIneedtopairmydeviceseachtimeIusemyEDGE?:No. The EDGE and the phone or
Bluetoothdeviceonlyrequirepairingthersttimetheyareusedtogether.
• WhatshouldIdoifthevolumeistoolowonmyEDGE?:
1.ThevolumeonyourEDGEwillonlygoashighasthevolumelevelsetonyour
transmittingdevice(PhoneorotherBluetoothdevice).Insurethevolumeisturnedup
onyourPhoneorotherBluetoothdevice.Note:Thisprovidesasafetyfeaturewhen
usingwithchildrenasyoucancontrolthemaximumvolumeatthetransmittingunit.
2.InsurethevolumeisattheappropriatelevelonyourEDGE.Usethevolumeupor
downbuttonsontheEDGEtoinsureyouhavethevolumeturnedup.
3.InsurethepausebuttonhasnotbeenpushedontheEDGE.
• WhydoesmyEDGEstopworksuddenly?:
1.Nopower.Whenthebatteryislowtheredindicatorwillflashandtheheadsetwill
beeptwice.
2.Insureyoudidnotinadvertentlyreachupandpressthephonebuttonfor4–6
seconds and turn the EDGE off.

damagetheEDGEandshortenthebatterylife.

• Usetheclean,softanddryfabrictocleanyourEDGE.
• WhenyouarenotusingtheEDGE,pleaseputitintoitsEVAcaseoritsoriginalpacking.
• DonotletchildrenplayEDGEtheymayhurtthemselvesorbreaktheEDGE.
• DonotputtheEDGEinextremelyhotorcoldenvironments;otherwisetheEDGEmay
not work for a while
Information about the Battery:
TheEDGEcomeswithanewbattery:BeforeyouusetheEDGEforthersttimechargethe
batteryforatleast4hours.
Battery Maintenance:
• Ifusedproperlythebatterylifeshouldbelonglasting.
• Theoptimaltemperatureforchargingis10℃to45℃.
• Chargingatroomtemperaturewillresultinthelargestcapability.
• UsingtheEDGEinlowtemperatureswillcauseareductioninthebatterycapability.
