CONGRATULATIONS
We would like to thank you, and congratulate you for
purchasing the Steamboy T2 floor sweeper/steamer from
Reliable Corporation.
This Sweeper/Steamer is a new way of cleaning that is
effective and far more hygienic than conventional methods.
The Sweeper is designed to sweep dry spills, dust and general
light debris from hard floor surfaces.
The Steamer achieves a high degree of hygiene and cleaning
power by converting water into steam. It works with a micro
fiber pad, which enhances absorbency. When contact is made
with floor surfaces, dirt and grime can be eliminated in a
matter of seconds.
Since the Steamer uses the active power of steam without the
use of detergents or soap, it is environmentally friendly.
When used correctly the Steamer can kill dust mites and some
types of bacteria, such as salmonella and E-coli.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
When using an electric appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:

• This product is designed for domestic use only.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not leave the Steamboy T2 unattended while turned on. Unplug the electrical
cord when not in use and before servicing.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used
near children, pets or plants.
• The Steamboy T2 is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons
without supervision.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the Steamboy T2.
• Never direct steam towards people, animals or plants, or equipment
containing electrical components.
• Do not immerse the Steamboy T2 into water or other liquids.
• The device sweeps dust and loose light dirt into the dust bin (larger/heavier
objects are not removed).
• Under NO circumstances should the Steamboy T2 be used to sweep glowing
ash, cigarette ends, matches, or flammable, toxic, or explosive substances.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the Steamboy T2 is not working as it
should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or immersed into water,
contact the distributor before continuing use. If the power supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or
pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity.
• Unplug after use. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the
plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or any part of the Steamboy T2 with wet hands or operate
without shoes.
• Do not insert any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked.
• Do not use without floor pad in place.
• Do not use on stairs.
• Store your Steamboy T2 indoors in a cool, dry area.
• Keep your work area well lighted.
• Never put cleaning detergents into the Steamboy T2. This will make the operation
unsafe and damage the unit.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recom-
mended accessories.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The Sweeper is designed to sweep dry spills, dust, and general light debris from
hard floor surfaces (not carpet).
We recommend that you first sweep the floor and then steam it. However, you can
turn the sweeper on and utilize the steam function simultaneously for small tidy ups.
The Steamer is designed to thoroughly clean floor surfaces, such as marble,
ceramic, stone, linoleum, sealed hard wood floors and parquet.
WARNING: on surfaces that have been treated with wax, the wax may be
removed by the heat and steam action. Do not use on unsealed wood floors
or let unit stand on any wood floor for an extended period of time. This could
cause the wood grain to rise. It is therefore recommended that a test cleansing
be carried out on an isolated area of the floor. It is also recommended that you
check the use and care instructions of the surface from the floor manufacturer
to ensure suitability to steam cleaning.
For first time use of the machine, please hold onto the switch to allow the water
to get pumped to the steam chamber. The pump will make a louder noise during
this initial operation.
To disinfect a specific area, position the steamer over the area
for a minimum of five seconds. The steam temperature will reach
approximately 120°C (248°F). Use this procedure to disinfect
floors near toilets, kitchen counters, pet sleeping quarters, etc.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE AND USE
• Attach sweeper/steamer base to the body.
• Secure base with a small Phillips head screwdriver until is fully tightened.
• Insert long silver-colored handle down into the sweeper/steamer body.
• Screw the large Phillips head screw through the opening at the back of
steamer body into the rear of the steamer handle and tighten until secure.
• Place the steamer head onto the microfiber pad. It will adhere with the Velcro®
backing. NOTE: Do not operate without a floor pad in place.
• Remove the water tank by lifting it straight up and away from the unit, unscrew
cap from the water tank and remove it then fill the tank with cool tap water.
Replace and tighten the cap. Put the water tank back into the unit.
• Twist the quick release cord wrap peg clockwise to unwrap the power cord
completely and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.

• The LED will illuminate when the steamer is connected to power outlet.
Please wait for 20 seconds (heat up period) before pressing the steam
release button. Your Steamboy T2 is now ready for use.
• NOTE: It is recommended that another high wattage appliance is not
operated on the same circuit to avoid a circuit overload.
• Press the sweeper button located on the base to turn the sweeper on/off.
Pass over the area to be swept using a forward motion.
• Slowly pass over surface to be cleaned while pressing the steam release
button to emit steam. Hold the steam switch as you are cleaning for periods of
up to 3-5 seconds only. Holding the steam switch continuously will cause the
unit to release water. It is recommended that you sweep the floor prior using
the steamer.
CAUTION: To sanitize an area of your floor, leave the steamer over area for
a minimum of 3 seconds, but no longer than 5 seconds. Leaving the
steamer stationary for a longer period than recommended may cause the
build up of a pale residue. This residue can be removed by using a
decalcifying product or with a few drops of vinegar.
WARNING: Never run the Steamboy T2 without water. Never direct steam at
any person or animal. Use on SEALED HARD FLOOR ONLY.
• When steamer runs out of water it will stop emitting steam. Simply remove
the water tank, refill, and continue cleaning.
• Change the microfiber pad on the steamer base ocasionally while cleaning to
prevent excess moisture from remaining on the floor.
• The carpet glide attachment will assist with freshing and sanitizing the
surface of carpets and area rugs. It is not intended to deep clean or lift dirt
from the carpet.
• When you finish your cleaning, unplug the power cord from outlet, empty the
water tank, carefully remove the pad from steamer head, wind power cord
around the cord wrap
• Carefully pull the dust bin out of the base and empty the contents into a
trash bin. Then place the dust bin back into the unit.
• Over the course of time, hairs, threads and other particles may accumulate
on the rotating sweeper brush. It is advised that these be removed for
optimum functionality.
• Store it upright in a dry area or hang by the storage hook.
CAUTION: The microfiber pad may be very hot.
NOTE: If you have hard water ensure that the anti-scale cartridge is changed
regularly (at least every six months). Replace it more often if your water is
very hard (ie: well water).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF CARPET GLIDE ACCESSORY
• Please ensure microfiber pad is attached as outlined previously.
• Please place carpet glide on the floor in an upright position with the
flat surface facing downwards.
• Please place the base of the glider.
• The carpet glide is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT
The carpet glide is designed not to be fixed to the base for safety
reasons including preventing burns.
The carpet glide is designed for use on soft carpeted areas only.
It is not designed for use on hard floor surfaces.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Prior to cleaning or maintenance isolate the unit by removing the
cord from the power socket. Do not immerse the unit in water.
• The microfiber pad can be machine washed in hot water and air dried.
• Wipe the Steamboy T2 with a soft cloth.
• The Steamboy T2 should only be used with its own specially developed
microfiber pads and anti-scale cartridge (spare pads and cartridges are
available from your retailer).

1. Ensure Steamer power cord is correctly plugged into
power outlet.
2. Ensure circuit breaker is operational.
3. Try operating the steamer from another power outlet.
1. Ensure the water tank has correct level of water.
1. Can be removed with household white vinegar
or a decalcifying product.
2. Alternatively reheat the area for one minute and residue
should be removed. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERHEAT AREA.
1. Hold steam switch for no longer than 5 seconds at a time.
Release the switch for a few seconds and then you can
repeat (the heating element needs time to heat up again to
properly convert the water into steam.
1. Ensure that you have pushed the on/off button (on the base)
to the “on” position.
2. Check the rotating brush/wheel and remove any visible
debris.
3. Remove the small white cap from the base of the unit
beside the brush and check that the belt is in place and free
of debris.
1. Have you pressed the steam release button correctly?
2. The Steamboy T2 is not yet ready to operate. Hold the steam
release button down for approx. 30 seconds until you no
longer hear any pumping noises and the device begins to
emit steam.
3. The water tank is empty. Fill it up.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION: Prior to troubleshooting isolate the unit by removing the cord
from the power socket.

every product sold by Reliable (a “Reliable Product”) is free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase, if properly used

Product of equal or greater value. Repaired parts or replacement products will be
provided by Reliable on an exchange basis, and will be either new or refurbished to
be functionally equivalent to new. If Reliable is unable to repair or replace a Reliable
Product, it will refund the current value of that Reliable Product at the time the war-
ranty claim is made.
This limited warranty does not cover any damage to a Reliable Product that results
from improper installation, accident, abuse, misuse, natural disaster, insufficient or
excessive electrical supply, abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, wear
and tear resulting from normal use of the product, or any unauthorized disassembly,
repair, or modification. This limited warranty does not extend to any indirect, con-
sequential or incidental damages that may be suffered by a user or from the use of
a Reliable Product, including without limitation, any liability for third party claims for
damage, and is limited to the amount paid by the original purchaser Reliable Product
with respect to which this limited warranty protection applies. This limited warranty
does not apply with respect to products that have been altered or which are missing
serial numbers or for products not purchased directly from Reliable or a dealer autho-
rized by us to sell Reliable Products.
This limited warranty is the only warranty that applies to any Reliable Product, super-
sedes any and all terms that may be contained in any other document or purchase
order and may not be altered or amended except expressly in writing by Reliable.

You will be required to submit an original receipt via fax or e-mail. The receipt must
reflect that you are the original purchaser, the product was bought directly from us or
from an authorized Reliable dealer and that the warranty claim is being made within
the warranty period. You will be issued a return authorization number (RA#) and
asked to ship the defective product together with proof of purchase and RA#, prepaid
insured to the following address:

Nous souhaitons vous remercier et vous féliciter pour l’achat
du balai électrique/ vadrouille à vapeur Steamboy T2 de
Reliable Corporation.
Le balai électrique/ vadrouille à vapeur est une nouvelle façon
de nettoyer plus efficace et beaucoup plus hygiénique que les
méthodes conventionnelles.
Le balai électrique est conçu pour balayer les résidus secs, la
poussière et des débris légers des sols durs.
La vadrouille atteint un haut degré d’hygiène et pouvoir de
nettoyage grâce à la conversion de l’eau en vapeur. Elle
fonctionne avec une lingette en microfibers qui améliore
l’absorption. Lors du contact avec les surfaces de plancher,
la saleté et la crasse peuvent être éliminées en seulement
quelques secondes.
Puisque la vadrouille utilise la puissance active de la vapeur
sans utiliser de détergents ou savon, elle est respectueuse de
l’environnement.
Si elle est correctement utilisée, la vadrouille peut terminer

endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant.
• Ne pas tirer ou transporter par le cordon, l’utiliser pour manipuler, fermer une
porte dessus ou le tirer sur des extrémités ou des coins pointus. Garder le
cordon éloigné des surfaces chaudes.
• N’utilisez pas de rallonges ou de prises de courant ayant une capacité de
charge en courant inadéquate.
• Débrancher après l’avoir utilisée. Ne pas débrancher en tirant sur le cordon.
Tirer sur la prise et non la corde pour débrancher.

L’INFORMATION SUIVANTE EST FOURNIE POUR LE SERVICE DONNÉ UNIQUEMENT

Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre. Utiliser uniquement la prise adéquate lors du
branchement de l’appareil, ne pas essayer d’interrompre la fonction de mise à la
terre du fil.
INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION
Le balai électrique est conçu pour balayer les résidus secs, la poussière et les
débris légers de sols durs (pas de moquette).
Nous vous recommandons de d’abord balayer le sol puis de le nettoyer à la vapeur.
Toutefois, vous pouvez allumer le balai électrique et utilser la fonction de nettoyage
vapeur en même temps pour des petits nettoyages rapides.
La vadrouille est conçue pour nettoyer complètement les surfaces de plancher,
comme le marbre, la céramique, la pierre, le linoléum, les planchers de bois dur
scellés et le parquet.
MISE EN GARDE : sur des surfaces qui ont été traitées avec de la cire, celle-ci
peu être supprimée par l’action de la chaleur et de la vapeur. Ne pas utiliser sur
les planchers de bois non scellés et ne pas laisser l’appareil sur aucun plancher
de bois pour une longue période de temps. Ceci pourrait provoquer l’élévation
du grain de bois. Il est donc recommandé d’effectuer un test de nettoyage sur
une zone isolée du plancher. Il est également recommandé de vérifier les instruc-
tions d’utilisation et de précaution sur la surface du fabricant du plancher pour
vous assurer l’adéquation à la vadrouille à vapeur.
Pour la première utilisation de l’appareil, veuillez tenir l’interrupteur afin de per-
mettre que l’eau soit pompée au réservoir de vapeur. La pompe fera un son plus
fort au cours de cette première opération.
COMMENT L’ASSEMBLER ET L’UTILISER
• Attachez la tête de le balai électrique/ vadrouille. au corps.
• Fixez la tête de la vadrouille avec la petite vis à tête Philips jusqu’à ce qu’elle
soit complètement serrée.
• Insérez la poignée de le balai électrique/ vadrouille. dedans le corps dele
balai électrique/ vadrouille.
• Visez la grande vis à tête Philips à travers l’ouverture à l’arrière du corps de la
vadrouille, à l’arrière de la poignée, et resserrez jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit fixée.
• Placez la tête de la vadrouille dans la lingette. Fermez la lingette sur la tête de
la vadrouille grâce à la doublure en Velcro®.
AVERTISSEMENT : Ne pas utiliser sans que les serpillières soient bien en place.

• Enlevez le réservoir d’eau en le soulevant de l’appareil. Dévissez la capsule
du réservoir d’eau, enlevez l’assemblage inséré, remplissez avec de l’eau
fraîche du robinet, remplacez l’assemblage inséré et remplacez et serrez la
capsule. Mettez le réservoir d’eau de retour à l’appareil.
• Tournez le cordon enroulable à dégagement rapide dans le sens horaire pour
dérouler complètement le cordon d’alimentation et branchez-le dans une
prise mise à la terre.
• Le voyant DEL s’allumera lorsque la vadrouille est branchée à la prise de
courant. Veuillez patienter pendant 20 secondes (période de chauffage)
avant d’appuyer sur la gâchette. La vadrouille à vapeur est maintenant prête
à utiliser.
AVERTISSEMENT : Il est recommandé de ne pas faire fonctionner sur le
même circuit un autre appareil de forte puissance afin d’éviter une sur-
charge du circuit.
• Appuyez sur le bouton de marche/ arrêt de l’aspirateur situé à sa base pour
l’allumer. Passez le balai électrique au-dessus de la zone à balayer dans un
mouvement vers l’avant.
• Passez lentement sur les surfaces à nettoyer lorsque vous appuyez sur la
gâchette pour émettre la vapeur. Tenez l’interrupteur de vapeur lorsque
vous nettoyez pour des périodes allant jusqu’à 3-5 secondes. Maintenir
l’interrupteur de vapeur continument fera libérer de l’eau de l’appareil. Il est
recommandé de balayer ou passer l’aspirateur avant d’utiliser la vadrouille
à vapeur.
ATTENTION : Pour désinfecter un endroit de votre plancher, laissez la
vadrouille à vapeur sur l’endroit pendant au moins 3 secondes, mais pas plus
de 5 secondes. Maintenir la vadrouille en place pour une période
plus longue que celle recommandée peut provoquer l’accumulation d’un
résidu pâle. Ce résidu peut être enlevé à l’aide d’un produit décalcifiant ou
avec quelques gouttes de vinaigre. (Voir la guide de dépannage)
MISE EN GARDE : NE JAMAIS FAIRE FONCTIONNER LA VADROUILLE À
VAPEUR SANS L’EAU. NE JAMAIS DIRIGER DE VAPEUR SUR UNE PERSONNE
OU UN ANIMAL. UTILISER LA VADROUILLE À VAPEUR SEULEMENT SUR LE
PLANCHER DUR SCELLÉ.
• Lorsque la vadrouille à vapeur arrête d’émettre de vapeur, ce qui se produit
après environ 30 minutes d’utilisation, il suffit d’enlever le réservoir d’eau,
le recharger et continuer le nettoyage. Le patin à tapis sert seulement à
rafraîchir et désinfecter tapis et moquette. Il n’est pas conçu pour nettoyer
en profondeur ou aspirer de la saleté de la moquette.

• Lorsque vous finissez votre nettoyage, débranchez le cordon d’alimentation
de la prise, videz le réservoir d’eau, retirez soigneusement la lingette de la
tête de la vadrouille, enroulez le cordon d’alimentation autour de l’enrouleur
de cordon et rangez-la dans une position verticale dans un endroit sec ou
suspendez-la par le crochet de rangement.
• Sortez soigneusement le bac à poussière de la base et videz son contenu
dans une poubelle. Puis replacez le bac à poussière dans l’appareil.
• Avec le temps, des cheveux, fils et autres particules peuvent s’accumuler
dans la brosse rotative de l’aspirateur. Pour une utilisation optimale, il est
recommandé de les retirer.
ATTENTION : LA LINGETTE PEUT ÊTRE TRÈS CHAUDE.
AVERTISSEMENT : Si vous utilisez de l’eau dure, veillez bien à changer le
filtre anti-calcaire régulièrement (au moins tous les six mois). Remplacez-le
plus souvent si votre eau est très dure (c’est à dire de l’eau de puits).
INSTRUCTIONS POUR UTILISER L’ACCESSOIRE DE PATIN À TAPIS
• Veuillez vous assurer que la lingette en microfibers soit attachée comme
décrit ci-dessus.
• Veuillez placer le patin à tapis sur le plancher dans une position verticale
avec la surface plane dirigée vers le bas.
• Veuillez placer la tête de la vadrouille à vapeur dans le patin comme illustré.
• Le patin à tapis est maintenant prêt à utiliser.
IMPORTANT
Le patin à tapis est conçu pour ne pas être fixé à la tête pour les sols pour
des raisons de sécurités, y compris la prévention de brûlures.
Le patin à tapis est conçu pour être utilisé uniquement sur des moquettes
douces. Veuillez ne pas l’utiliser sur les sols durs.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
ATTENTION : Avant du nettoyage ou de l’entretien, isolez l’appareil en débran-
chant le cordon de la prise d’alimentation. Ne pas plonger l’appareil dans l’eau.
La lingette en microfibers peut être lavée à la machine dans l’eau chaude et
séchée à l’air.
Essuyez la vadrouille T2 à l’aide d’un chiffon doux.
La vadrouille à vapeur T2 doit seulement être utilisée avec ses propres lingettes
en microfibers et filtres anti-calcaire spécialement conçus (les lingettes et les
filtres de rechange sont disponibles chez votre détaillant).
PIÈCES DE RECHANGE
2 Joints toriques extralarges – Peuvent être utilisés pour remplacer les joints au
bas du réservoir d’eau.
