Remington AC5010 Installation guide

STORAGE
When not in use, always unplug the hair dryer from the power outlet.
Allow the hair dryer to cool and store out of the reach of children in a
safe dry place. Never wrap the power cord around the hair dryer
since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle
the cord carefully for long life and avoid jerking, twisting or straining
especially at the plug connections. If the cord becomes twisted in use,
periodically straighten it. You may also use the hang loop to store the
hair dryer within convenient reach, ensuring that water cannot be
splashed on to it when it is hung up.
This product conforms to radio frequency interference requirements.
Warranty Information can be found in the enclosed
warranty card.
The original purchaser of this Remington product is provided with
the following Warranty subject to the Warranty conditions:
Remington warrants the AC5010 Salon 5000 Hair Dryer for all parts
defective in workmanship or materials for a period of 5 years.
Any product purchased and used commercially carries a limited
90 Day Warranty.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
USER INSTRUCTIONS
This hair dryer is equipped with a thermostat that will cycle `OFF’ if
the temperature exceeds the comfort level due to partially blocked air
inlet or air outlet grilles. In the event that the hair dryer stops during
use turn off all switches and allow the hair dryer to cool down, at
which time the thermostat will automatically reset. Before using again,
check that the air inlet and air outlet grilles are not blocked. Unplug
the hair dryer and clean the openings if necessary. During use, do not
block the air openings or let your hair be drawn into the hair dryer.
MAINTENANCE
Your hair dryer is designed for household use and is virtually
maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. When cleaning becomes
necessary, turn all switches off and disconnect the hair dryer from the
power outlet.
To maintain peak product performance, it is important to clean the air
inlet grille and filter at the back of the dryer. To access the air inlet
grille and filter, grasp the filter retaining ring, turn it a few degrees
anti-clockwise and pull it away from the hair dryer. The filter can now
be removed and cleaned with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.
Replace the filter, positioning the pegs on either side of the rear of the
dryer to the slots on the sides of the filter retaining ring and turn the
filter retaining ring a few degrees clockwise to lock it into position.
The exterior of the hair dryer can be cleaned by wiping it with a damp
cloth.

SALON 5000
CERAMIC + TOURMALINE IONIC TECHNOLOGY
Tourmalines are precious gemstones with highly unique
properties. Heating crushed tourmalines results in the powerful
natural emissions of ions and far-infrared heat. Remington puts
tourmaline technology to work in this powerful hair dryer to
reduce static and frizz. The ceramic ensures even heat distribution.
HIGH PERFOMANCE ACTIVE IONIC HYDRATING TECHNOLOGY
The Salon 5000 hair dryer emits negative ions, which neutralize
positive ions. This allows the hair cuticle to lie flat which reduces
static and frizz and creates a healthy shine, therefore giving the
hair a more nourished look and smoother finish.
COOL SHOT
This hair dryer is equipped with a cool shot, which is used to hold
your hairstyle. Press and hold the cool shot button to rapidly cool
and hold your hair once it has been styled.
BASIC HAIR CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal results, shampoo and condition your hair prior to styling
and towel dry to remove excess moisture.
QUICK DRYING
Select a high or medium heat & a high speed setting and roughly
dry your hair. Use a brush or your hand to shake out excess
moisture whilst drying and keep the hair dryer in constant motion.

AC5010 SALON 5000 HAIR DRYER
USE & CARE MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing your new Remington® Salon 5000
hair dryer. The Salon 5000 is an internationally designed,
powerful, salon hair dryer with a long life AC motor. Featuring
ceramic + tourmaline ionic + high performance ionic hydrating
technology this dryer will leave your hair silky and shiny with
less frizz. The kit includes a 7mm, professional, slimline
concentrator and a diffuser that gently dries natural curly,
permed or fine hair.
KEY PARTS
each section of hair from roots to tips. Once bottom layers have
been straightened, then straighten the mid section and complete
by straightening top layers.
NATURAL WAVY TEXTURE
Select a low or medium heat and a low speed setting. ‘Scrunch’
sections of hair with your fingers into the palm of your hand, while
directing airflow through your fingers. Once you have achieved the
desired effect, use the cool shot on each section of hair to hold
style. For more volume lean forward and dry the hair in the upside
down position.
LIFT & VOLUME
Using the hair dryer on a medium to high heat and a high speed
setting, work from the roots of your hair and begin at the back of
your head. Section your hair and use a brush or fingers to dry
against its natural growth pattern. This creates lift at the roots,
which creates a style with volume.
STYLING
Attach the narrow slimline concentrator, for precision drying, and
select a medium or low heat setting and a low speed setting.
Section your hair, and style using a brush. Concentrate the
airflow directly on your hair while styling in the direction you
desire. If necessary, hold the airflow for 2-5 seconds on each
section while curling under or over for additional hold.
USING THE DIFFUSER
This hair dryer comes with a professional style diffuser. This
diffuser dries hair fast without blowing out the style. Perfect for
naturally curly, permed and fine hair.
Note: Always select the lowest heat setting when using the
diffuser, as damage may occur to the diffuser if higher heat
settings are used.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Warning: Do Not use this appliance near bath tubs,
showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
When using electrical appliances, especially when children
are present, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following.
