DESCRIPTION :
The Lithium-Ion battery pack for Mégane R.S. 275
TROPHY-R contains a lithium iron phosphate battery
(LiFePO4) , a battery hold-down clamp and a battery
holder, and cap connector.
It is an excellent alternative to a lead-acid battery,
saving more than 15 kg (33.07 lbs) on the overall weight
of the vehicle.

USE
Unplugging the current sensor inhibits Stop & Start function, in order to increase the durability
of lithium battery.
Information “Check Stop & Start” appears on dashboard, without any effect.
During cold conditions, especially below -5°C (23°F), battery could not be able to start the
vehicle.
When such weather conditions happen, we recommend to use again the lead-acid battery.
In any case, to ensure starting, the use of a battery jump starter or battery jump lead is
allowed.
If the battery lithium is not used during a long period, keep it regularly charged.
Optimate Lithium Charger is the only certified charger for this lithium battery (distributed
separately by Renault after-sales).
In any case, the use of any another charger is forbidden. It could lead to irreparable damage to
the lithium battery and cause serious injuries.
WARRANTY
This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase in the RENAULT network
except mounting defect and except normal wear.

CONTENTS
INSTALLATION
Remove the lead-acid battery and its hold-down clamp;
keep the screws of this latter part to fix the lithium
battery hold-down clamp (4).
Install the current sensor (10) and the positive terminal
of lead-acid battery on the lithium battery.
Plug the wiring of current sensor (11) on the male cap-
connector (6), and fix them pointing downwards on an
edge of battery tray (9).
Install the lithium battery holder (3), place on it the
lithium battery (1), the lithium battery hold-down
clamp (4) using the screws of the former hold-down
clamp - torque: 6.5 Nm (4.79 lb.ft), and plug the female
cap-connector (5) on the current sensor (10).
Then plug the positive terminal to the vehicle, and the
ground battery terminal (12) on the current sensor.

PREWORK
Fix terminals (2) on the lithium battery, using screws
and split washer: terminal with biggest diameter on
Positive terminal, smallest one on Negative terminal -
torque: 11 Nm (8,11 lb.ft).
Insert cavity plugs (8) inside female connector (5) and
male connector (6). Install holder (7) on male
connector (6).
