1.GENERAL
INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE INSTRUCTIONS
The instruction manual serves as an important source of information and a reference for staff when installing
and using the machine. It must allow a safe work and consistent with the capabilities of the machine.
The precondition for this is the knowledge of the safety aspects to be observed when installing, using and
maintaining the machine. Therefore, the user manual must be read in the "Safety" chapter. The other main
points for informing staff are the following chapters.
To avoid handling errors, these operating instructions must be accessible to personnel all times. Accident
prevention instructions and general safety instructions must be observed when using the machine.
NOTE: The schematic representations of this manual may be slightly different from the model in your
possession.

Any claim must include details on the use of the item, the date of purchase. For machines, the guarantee
means parts and labour after return to the factory REPEX Floor SAS
Liability is limited only to goods supplied by REPEX Floor SAS and does not apply to damage, injury or loss
of income from a defective component.
The use of the goods supplied by REPEX Floor SAS must respect the technical recommendations of the
manufacturer. All our products have a traceability of the source of supply. It is the customer's responsibility
to ensure that this condition is sufficient to meet the requirements of the final destination of the goods
purchased.
The goods sold are guaranteed against any malfunction resulting from a defect in material, workmanship or
design, for a period of one year from the date of invoice, subject to consistent use of the product by the
customer.
Products returned under warranty are subject of quality control before making any decision.
This manual must be read carefully before use!
The transfer of this manual to third parties is prohibited. In case of non-compliance with this clause,
compensation may be requested.

2.THE "ORIGINAL" EDGE SANDER
The edge sander model "Light" is an easy to use machine for professional use. This machine is designed
for sanding parquet on the edges of rooms and the underside of radiators.
The motor is a universal type, so it is recommended to use it for 20 to 30 minutes at a time. It is also
recommended not to put too much pressure on the machine. This machine sands the floors with a
removable disc, positioned at the front of the machine, which is driven by a single-phase motor. The disc
and the suction are motorized by a belt.
3.RECEPTION OF THE MACHINE
First check the contents of the package. Contact your local supplier if any parts are missing.
The parts supplied are as follows:
•1 set of instructions,
•1 dust bag "Small model",
•1 light planer with short or long arm,
•1 triangle bag holder with nut,
•1 key of 13,
•1 key of 27,
•2 wheels
4.STORAGE
It is advisable to store the machine without removing it from its original packaging.
If the machine removed from its original packaging remains stationary for a long time, ensure that at least
the wheels and the deck do not remain in contact with the ground.
Store the machine in a dry building without risk of damaging it.
Storage temperature: -5 ° C to 45 ° C.
5. TRANSPORT
WARNING :
The machine is relatively light. However, it is advisable to transport the machine by
holding it firmly by the two handles.

7.INITIAL OPERATION
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
CAUTION :
This machine operates only at the voltage and frequency indicated on the label
present on the machine. Before connecting the cable to the supplying network, make
sure that the voltage and frequency available are correct.
DANGER :
Do not expose the machine to water or rain ! : Danger of death by electrocution. Use
and store the machine in a dry building.
DANGER :
Make sure that the machine is correctly connected to electrical system. To prevent
any possibility of electric shock, make sure you use a neutral and ground electrical
system. For maximum protection against electric shock, use a circuit protected by a
GFCI.
DANGER :
Do not damage the grounding plug in any way that could lead to death by electric
shock. Do not cut, remove or break the grounding plug. Do not attempt to insert a 3-
pole plug into any outlet or connector that is not a phase-to-neutral/earth ground
outlet or connector. If the plug does not fit the outlet, contact an authorized
electrician.
DANGER :
Do not operate the machine if the power plug or power cord is damaged, as there is
a danger of death from electric shock. If the cables or plugs are worn or damaged,
have them replaced by the manufacturer or by the REPEX FLOOR customer service

department or, in any case, by a person with similar qualifications in order to prevent
any risk.
CABLES, EXTENSIONS AND PLUGS
Use only approved three-core 2.5 mm² cables, the maximum recommended length of a cable extension is
12.50 m; for lengths greater than 12.50 m use cables with larger cross-sections.
DANGER :
Do not use the machine with cables of insufficient cross-section and/or excessive
length, as this may cause injury to persons or damage to property.
MACHINE WITH SINGLE-PHASE 230V MOTOR. ~50-60Hz
For Europe, the power supply cable must be of type E/F approved CEE designation 7/7-3x2.5 mm
For versions other than the European version, consult REPEX FLOOR or an authorized
distributor.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACING THE SUCTION SKIRT
DANGER :
The sanding dust may spontaneously ignite and cause injury or damage. The sanding
powder should be properly disposed of as described in the procedure below.
DANGER :
Never use the machine without the dust bag. Wood dust causes injury or damage to
persons.
DANGER :
Carry out the entire operation below while wearing an FFP3 NR D type respiratory
protection mask correctly.
CAUTION :
In order to guarantee safety and 100% efficient filtration, please use only filter bags
available from REPEX (ref: 4601).
CAUTION :
It is strongly recommended to ask for help from a person to hold a vacuum cleaner
close to the openings of the bags when replacing them in order to avoid airborne
dust as much as possible.
In order to prevent the bag from being dragged on the ground and interfering with the use of the
machine, the bag is wrapped around a rod directly attached to the flanging machine. Attach the dust bag
with the laces on the edge of the bag to the suction tube of the machine.

DISC
WARNING :
The machines must not be connected to the electrical network to perform this
manoeuvre.
WARNING :
The installation of the abrasive disc is made easier by the so-called Velcro base. Use
only " NORGRIP " type abrasive discs with a diameter of 150 mm..
To change the classic abrasive disc:
1. Unscrew the central nut using the 13" socket wrench.
2. Remove the pressed ring and remove the abrasive disc(s).
3. Replace them with one disc with large sanding grains or two discs with small sanding grains.
4. Replace the pressed ring and lock the assembly with the central nut.
To change the " NORGRIP " type sanding disc:
1. Remove the sanding disc from the base plate.
2. Replace it with a new one.
Unscrew the nut with the
13 mm spanner.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SANDING SURFACE
The two stabilizing rolls are adjustable in height and can be easily removed for cleaning by unscrewing the
"PAL" type lock nuts on the top of the castor supports.
This adjustment is carried out at the factory in such a way that the right front part of the machine is in
contact with the floor. This adjustment ensures optimal dust extraction.
Unscrew the nut to make the
adjustment.
8.RECOMMENDATIONS ON PREVENTION METHODS FOR USERS
PERSONAL PROTECTION MEANS
WARNING :
The sanding dust spread in the air and can be inhaled while the sander is in use. Always
wear a protective mask type FFP3 NR D against powder when using the sanding tool.
WARNING :
Risk of serious injury to eyes and/or body if protective clothing or devices are not worn
during sanding. Always wear safety goggles, protective clothing and a powder mask
during all sanding operations.
WARNING :
During any sanding operation the intensity of the noise may cause hearing damage if
exposed for a long time. Always wear hearing protection during sanding operations.
RESPECT OF PROTECTIONS AND DANGER SIGNALS
DANGER :
Do not use the machine if it is not completely assembled, it may cause injury to persons
and/or damage to property. Ensure that all clamping elements are closed. Make sure
that the machine settings are carried out according to the specifications.
DANGER :
Operating the sander without the guards and covers mounted and locked in position
can cause personal injury and/or damage to property. Always make sure that all guards
and covers are in place and securely fastened.

DANGER :
Sanding wooden floors can create an explosive environment. Cigarettes, cigars, pipes,
lighters, pilot flames and other sources of fire can cause an explosion if they are active
during sanding work. Fire sources should be kept completely away from the work area.
DANGER :
Poorly ventilated work areas may create an explosive environment in the presence of
combustible materials in the atmosphere, such as solvents, thinners, alcohols, fuels,
some paints, wood powder and other combustible materials. Floor grinders may cause
fire of combustible materials and fumes. Read the manufacturer's instructions for all
chemicals used to determine their combustibility. Always ensure that the work area is
well ventilated.
DANGER :
Nails struck during sanding may generate sparks. Always remove all nails before
sanding surfaces.
DANGER :
If the power supply circuit is repeatedly interrupted or is undersized, there is a risk of
death by electric shock. Check the fuses, the protective circuit or the supply line by an
authorized electrician or by the REPEX FLOOR service department.
DANGER :
Any servicing and/or repair work on a machine that is not properly disconnected from
the power line may result to death by electric shock. Disconnect the power supply line
before performing any maintenance and/or repair work.
DANGER :
Use of this machine on a non-grounded circuit may result to death by electric shock.
Never unplug or disconnect the ground wire. Contact an electrician if the ground wire
is missing or if you are not sure the circuit is properly grounded.
DANGER :
Do not use this machine if the power cord is damaged as this may result to electric
shock. Do not operate this machine if the power cord is damaged. Do not pull on the
power cord when moving the machine.
DANGER :
Moving parts of the machine can cause serious injuries and/or damage. Be sure to keep
your hands, feet, and loose clothing away from all moving parts of the sander.
DANGER :
Be sure to disconnect the machine from the power supply when servicing or replacing
the clear plastic bag or filter bag there is a risk of injury to the user and/or bystanders.
WARNING :
Read and follow all instructions on the machine or in this manual because there is a risk
of serious personal injury or property damage. Read and follow all safety instructions.
Make sure all signs, decals, warnings, precautions, and instructions are attached to the
machine. Obtain new plates from REPEX FLOOR or any authorized REPEX distributor.
CAUTION :
Do not have any repairs carried out by unauthorized personnel there is a risk of
personal injury or property damage.

CAUTION :
If stored in a damp building, the machine may be damaged. Store the machine in a dry
building.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CORRECT USE OF THE MACHINE
The machine is suitable for professional use.
The information contained in this instruction manual highlights potentially dangerous conditions for
the operator and/or the machine. Read this manual carefully and familiarize yourself with the machine
to learn about situations where these conditions could be present.
Take all necessary steps to instruct the personnel who will use the machine.
Immediately report any damage to the machine or incorrect operation:
1. Keep hands and clothing away from rotating parts.
2. Keep hands on the handles of the machine while the engine is running.
3. Do not move away from the machine while the engine is running.
4. Do not operate the machine with the belt guard(s) and/or the sanding disc guard(s) open.
5. Always operate the machine with the filter bag properly closed in its own position.
6. Do not remove the filter bag while the engine is running.
7. Always disconnect the power cable from the machine when servicing.
8. Transport must be done with care by holding the machine by both handles.
9. Always use the machine in well-ventilated areas.
10. The sanding dust must always be handled in the bags properly closed with a single-use cable tie
of the colring type.
11. Use the sanding discs supplied with the machine or the model specified in the instruction manual.
12. Lower the roller with the lever under the handle only when the motor is started and lift it up before
switching off the motor.
13. Use the sander inside buildings.

10.INFORMATION ABOUT THE MACHINE
NON-CONSENSUAL USE
CAUTION :
The machine has been designed for sanding wooden floors only.
11.INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTING UP THE MACHINE
To start the machine, follow the steps below:
1. Familiarize yourself with the machine and read all instructions regarding hazards, warnings and
precautions. Make sure all operators have read this manual.
2. Attach the bag as described in the section "DUST BAG INSTRUCTIONS".
WARNING :
The machine must not be connected to the electrical mains to carry out this
operation.
3. Locate the power supply. The socket must be compatible with the plug. To avoid electrical shock, the
plug must be grounded and fused.
WARNING :
The fuse must be 10A for the 1.2kW motor.
MACHINE START UP
CAUTION :
Check that the filter bag is properly attached to the machine.
To start the machine:
1. Connect the machine to the 230V power supply.
2. Hold the machine firmly by the two handles.
3. Swing the black lever towards the handles to start the machine.
4. To turn off the machine, simply release the lever.

12.REGULAR MAINTENANCE
WHEELS:
Remove periodically dirt from the machine body and wheels. Dirt can cause irregularities (wave effect) on
the sanded surface.
BELT TENSION:
Check the belt tension periodically. To do this, unscrew the two nuts on the disc holder and push it forward.
While holding the adjustment firmly, tighten the two nuts by 13.
13.SPARE PARTS
Always use original REPEX FLOOR spare parts.
The guarantee and the consequent liability are invalidated if non-original spare parts are used and if repairs
or adjustments are carried out by unauthorized persons.
