CHE VENGANO SEGUITE TUTTE LE ISTRUZIONI
1° - Questo li retto d'istruzioni è rivolto esclusivamente a del personale specializzato che
sia a conoscenza dei criteri costruttivi e dei dispositivi di protezione contro gli in ortuni per i
cancelli, le porte e i portoni motorizzati (attenersi alle norme e alle leggi vigenti).
2° - L’installatore dovrà rilasciare all’utente inale un libretto di istruzioni in accordo alla EN
12635.
3° - L’installatore prima di procedere con l’installazione deve prevedere l’analisi dei rischi della
chiusura automatizzata inale e la messa in sicurezza dei punti pericolosi identi icati
(seguendo la norma EN 12453/EN 12445).
4° - Il cablaggio dei vari componenti elettrici esterni all’operatore (ad esempio otocellule,
lampeggianti, ecc.) deve essere e ettuato secondo la EN 60204-1 e le modi iche a questa
apportate dal punto 5.2.2 della EN 12453.
5° - L’eventuale montaggio di una pulsantiera per il comando manuale del movimento deve
essere atto posizionando la pulsantiera in modo che chi la aziona non si trovi in posizione
pericolosa; inoltre si dovrà are in modo che sia ridotto il rischio di azionamento accidentale
dei pulsanti.
6° - Tenete i comandi dell'automatismo (pulsantiera, telecomando etc.) uori dalla portata dei
bambini. I comandi devono essere posti ad un’altezza minima di 1,5mt dal suolo e uori dal
raggio d’azione delle parti mobili.
7° - Prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di installazione, regolazione, manutenzione
dell’impianto, togliere la tensione agendo sull’apposito interruttore magnetotermico collegato
a monte dello stesso.

1° - Ce manuel d'instruction est adressé seulement au personnel specialisé qui a une
connaissance des critères de construction et des dispositi s de protection contre les
accidents en ce qui concerne les portails, les portes et les portes cochères motorisées
(suivre les normes et les lois en vigueur).
2° - L’installateur devra remettre, à l’utilisateur inal, une notice technique con ormément à la
norme EN12635.
3° - L’installateur doit avant de procéder à l’installation, prévoir l’analyse des risque de
l’automatisation inale et la mise en sécurité des zones dangereuses identi iées (selon la
norme EN 12453/12445).
4° - Le câblage des di érents éléments électriques externes à l’opérateur (ex. photocellules,
clignotants, etc…) doit être e ectué selon la norme EN 60204-1 et aux modi ications
apportées au paragraphe 5.2.2 de la norme EN 12453
5° - La pose éventuelle d’une commande manuelle par bouton pour la mise en marche de
l’automatisme ne doit pas être positionnée dans une zone qui mettrait en danger l’opérateur ;
il est également important de l’installer de sorte à éviter toute action accidentelle des
boutons.
6° - Gardez les commandes de l'automatisme (boutons poussoirs, télécommande etc.) hors de la
portée des en ants. Les commandes doivent être placées au minimum à 1,5 m du sol, et
hors de rayon d’action des pièces mobiles.
7° - Avant d’exécuter quelconques opérationd’installation, réglage, entrietien de l’installation,
couper la tension avec l’interrupteur magnétothermique approprié connecté en amont.

the construction criteria and o the accident prevention protection devices or motorized

2° - In the compliance with the EN 12635, the itter must issue an istruction manual.

1° - Diese Montageanweisung ist ausschließlich für geschultes Fachpersonal estimmt,
das mit den Montagevorschri ten und den Schutzvorrichtungen zur Verhinderung von
Un ällen bei motorisierten Toren vertraut ist (nach den aktuellen Normen und Gesetzen).
2° - In Uebereistimmung mit der EN12635, aus dem selbigen Handbuch.
3° - Bevor sie mit der installation beginnen,muessen sie eine geeignete Schutz unktion uer das
automatische Schliessen inden(immer in Anlehnung an die EN 12453 und EN12445).
4°- Alle externen elektrischen Kabel (z.B.zur Fotozelle,Blinker usw.)muessen in Einklang mit der
EN60204-1 gebracht werden, und Veraenderungen nach Punkt 5.2.2 der EN12453
vorgenommen werden.
5°- Wenn sie ein Drucktaster installieren ist es wichtig,das er so installiert wird, das er nicht
ausversehen durch eine Person betaetigt werden kann, nur wenn es gewollt ist.
6° - Bewahren Sie die Geräte ür die automatische Bedienung (Drucktaster, Funksender, u.s.w.)
an einem ür Kinder unzugänglichen Platz au . Die Steuerungen müssen au einer
Mindesthöhe von 1,5 m angebracht werden und sich ausserhalb der Raumes der
bewegenden Teile be inden.
7° - Bevor Sie eine Installation oder Wartungsarbeit an der Anlage durch ühren, müssen Sie
kontrollieren, dass die Anlage spannungs rei geschaltet ist.

CONTROLLO PRE-INSTALLAZIONE
Le ante devono essere solidamente issate ai cardini delle colonne, non devono lettere
durante il movimento e devono muoversi senza attriti.
Prima d'installare il MAGIC è meglio veri icare tutti gli ingombri necessari per poterlo
installare.
Se il cancello si presenta come da Fig. 2 non occorrono modi iche.
N.B. È obbligatorio uni ormare le caratteristiche del cancello alle norme e leggi vigenti.
La porta può essere automatizzata solo se in buono stato e se rispondente alla norma
EN 12604.
- L’anta non deve presentare porte pedonali. In caso contrario occorrerà prendere
opportune precauzioni in accordo al punto 5.4.1 della EN12453 (ad esempio impedire il
movimento del motore quando il portoncino è aperto, grazie ad un microinterruttore
opportunamente collegato in centralina).
- Non bisogna generare punti di intrappolamento (ad esempio tra anta aperta del
cancello e cancellata).

Componenti da installare secondo la norma EN12453
CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE MOTORIDUTTORE
MAGIC è un operatore reversibile dotato di rizione meccanica per poter regolare la orza
del motore e la sua reversibilità (più si aumenta la orza il motore, meno questo è
reversibile).
È dotato di inecorsa meccanico, di leva di traino con palmola, di coperchio carrabile.
Viene ornito con un contenitore in acciaio che è dotato di scanso per acilitare
l'interramento (41 x 25 h17cm).
MAGIC è portante dell'anta del cancello e in caso di manutenzione il motore può essere
rimosso senza togliere l'anta.
MAGIC è reversibile e perciò non ha bisogno di sblocco.
MAGIC può azionare agevolmente cancelli e portoni pesanti ino a 350Kg e con ante
lunghe ino a 2,5mt con un tempo di apertura di 20 secondi per la versione con apertura
105°e con un tempo di apertura di 40 secondi per la versione con apertura 180°(nel
rispetto delle norme).
MAGIC nella versione 105° (Fig. 3) è dotato di variazione di velocità dell'anta sia in
apertura che in chiusura (apertura iniziale lenta, poi veloce e chiusura inizialmente
veloce, poi lenta all'arrivo in battuta).
MAGIC nella versione 180° (Fig. 4) permette l'apertura dell'anta ino a 180° se l'albero
di uscita del motore è in asse coi cardini dell'anta. Se l'albero di uscita del motore è
s alsato dai cardini ino a 4,5 cm, allora permette l'apertura dell'anta ino a 150°.

PREPARAZIONE CEMENTAZIONE CASSA
- Eseguire la ossa nel terreno con le quote riportate sul disegno considerando che l’asse
delle cerniere dovrà cadere in mezzeria alla quota 500 (Fig. 5).
- Predisporre su un lato del cassonetto un tubo in PVC Ø 50 mm per lo scarico
dell’acqua e un tubo Ø 32 mm max di tipo isolante lessibile pesante per l’uscita dei cavi
elettrici (Questo a inché la giunzione dei cavi stessi avvenga all’interno di una scatola
di derivazione stagna a norme. La scatola può essere murata o issata esternamente,
collocata da terra ad un’altezza minima di sicurezza).
- Con una livella posizionare la cassa in modo che il ilo superiore del coperchio
corrisponda al piano inito del pavimento.
CEMENTAZIONE DEL MAGIC 105°
- Cementare acendo attenzione che la malta non entri all’interno della cassa e
veri icando che i lati più corti della cassa siano perfettamente paralleli al cancello
quando è in posizione “CHIUSO”.
- In ilare la leva di traino sull'albero della cassa dopo averlo ingrassato.
Il collegamento tra anta e leva di traino può avvenire come da igure 7e 8.
N.B. In caso l’anta abbia un supporto portante a terra, l’installazione è possibile acendo
are la unzione di supporto al motore (vedi installazione Fig. 8)
CEMENTAZIONE DEL MAGIC 180°
Il MAGIC 180° viene ornito ambidestro quindi potete applicarlo sulla destra o sulla
sinistra del cancello indi erentemente e vale quanto detto per la versione 105° tranne
che per quanto segue:
- Cementare acendo attenzione che la malta non entri all’interno della cassa, veri icando
che i lati più corti del cassonetto siano perfettamente perpendicolari al cancello
quando è in posizione “CHIUSO” a seconda dell’angolo d’apertura che si vuole
realizzare.
Il collegamento tra anta e leva di traino può avvenire come da igure 9 e 10.
N.B. In caso l’anta abbia un supporto portante a terra, l’installazione è possibile acendo
are la unzione di supporto al motore (vedi installazione Fig. 10).

REGOLAZIONE FRIZIONE
Togliendo il coperchio della cassa si accede alla vite di regolazione della rizione
meccanica (F) (Fig.13).
- Dopo aver tolto il tappo di protezione nero e svitato il controdado, ruotate la vite in
senso orario per aumentare la orza impressa dal motore sulle ante del cancello.
Dosate la orza del motore in modo che sia solo leggermente superiore a quella
richiesta dall'anta per movimentarla.
N.B.: Più forza fate esercitare al motore tanto più questo ridurrà la propria
reversi ilità. Fig. 13

REGOLAZIONE FINECORSA MECCANICI MAGIC 180°
Per ermare il movimento del cancello nelle posizioni desiderate è su iciente agire sulle
apposite viti dei ermi Ce C1, bloccandole successivamente coi controdadi per impedire
che possano modi icare la loro posizione nel tempo (Fig.12).
Per delimitare la corsa dell’anta del cancello é necessario spostare la posizione del
ermo a secondo dell’angolo d’apertura massima richiesto:
A = 120°÷155° / B = 155°÷170° / C = 170°÷180°.
Il ermo viene ornito già montato, è su iciente regolarne la vite e bloccarla con l’apposito
dado.
MAGIC SUL LATO SINISTRO DEL CANCELLO (visto dall’interno dell’abitazione) => il
ermo di chiusura sarà C1 ed il ermo di apertura sarà C.
Il ermo Cè possibile spostarlo nelle posizioni Ao Ba seconda dell’apertura desiderata.
MAGIC SUL LATO DESTRO DEL CANCELLO (visto dall’interno dell’abitazione) => il
ermo di chiusura sarà Ced il ermo di apertura sarà C1.
Il ermo C1 è possibile spostarlo nelle posizioni A1 o B1 a seconda dell’apertura
desiderata.

REGOLAZIONE FINECORSA MECCANICI MAGIC105°
Usando il MAGIC non è necessario issare ermi a terra o altro perché è dotato all’interno
di viti di ermo registrabili per delimitare la corsa dell’anta.
Per accedere alle viti di ermo è necessario togliere il coperchio del MAGIC.
- Per ottenere l’apertura desiderata del cancello è su iciente avvitare o svitare la vite “A”
di ermo e di seguito bloccare il controdado per impedire che possa modi icare la sua
posizione nel tempo (Fig.11).
- La stessa regolazione va eseguita anche sulla vite “C” per la chiusura.

MANUTENZIONE
Da effettuare da parte di personale specializzato dopo aver tolto l'alimentazione
elettrica al motore.
- Ogni anno ingrassare le parti in movimento all’interno della cassa e controllare la orza
di spinta esercitata dal motoriduttore sul cancello.
- Ogni due anni è consigliabile una revisione con sostituzione dell'olio.
In caso di manutenzione del riduttore è possibile rimuoverlo dalla cassa senza togliere
l'anta.
- Dopo aver rimosso il coperchio del cassonetto e aver scollegato il cavo di
alimentazione del motore, estraete manualmente la leva curva di traino così da poter
aprire l'anta.
- Di seguito svitate i quattro dadi che issano la piastra alla cassa e che bloccano il
riduttore in posizione (Fig.15-A/B).

SBLOCCO DI EMERGENZA
Da e ettuare dopo aver tolto l'alimentazione elettrica al motore.
Per poter eseguire in modo sicuro la movimentazione manuale dell’anta occorre
veri icare che:
- Siano ornite idonee maniglie sull’anta;
- Tali maniglie non siano posizionate in modo da creare punti di pericolo durante il loro
utilizzo;
- Lo s orzo manuale per muovere l’anta non deve superare i 225N per i cancelli posti su
siti privati ed i 390N per i cancelli posti su siti commerciali ed industriali (valori indicati
nel punto 5.3.5 della norma EN 12453)
In caso di mancanza di energia elettrica, per poter aprire manualmente il cancello è
su icente agire sulla serratura elettrica del cancello, quindi spingere manualmente le
ante (Fig. 14).
N.B.: In caso di cancelli a due ante, per un'e icace chiusura mediante serratura elettrica,
si consiglia l'utilizzo di un chiavistello meccanico (cod. ACG5000).
Questo accessorio viene montato solitamente alla base della prima anta che si chiude.
Quando arriva la seconda anta, questa tocca il chiavistello e blocca cosi la prima anta a
terra.
La seconda anta rimane invece bloccata alla prima grazie alla serratura elettrica che
monta solitamente a metà altezza.

SICUREZZE ELETTRICHE
Si consiglia l'utilizzo delle centraline elettroniche di comando K2 o KS2 (per 1 o 2 motori
mono asi).

IMPORTANTI ISTRUZIONI DI SICUREZZA
PER L’INSTALLAZIONE
1° - Se non é previsto nella centralina elettrica, installare a monte della medesima
un'interruttore di tipo magnetotermico (onnipolare con apertura minima dei contatti
pari a 3mm) che riporti un marchio di con ormità alle normative internazionali. Tale

2° - Per la sezione ed il tipo dei cavi la RIB consiglia di utilizzare un cavo di tipo
NPI07VVF con sezione minima di 1,5mm2e comunque di attenersi alla norma IEC
364 e alle norme di installazione vigenti nel proprio Paese.
3° - Posizionamento di un’eventuale coppia di otocellule: Il raggio delle otocellule deve
essere ad un’altezza non superiore a 70 cm dal suolo e ad una distanza dal piano di
movimento dell’anta non superiore a 20 cm. Il loro corretto unzionamento deve
essere veri icato a ine installazione in accordo al punto 7.2.1 della EN 12445.
4° - Per il soddis acimento dei limiti imposti dalla EN 12453, se la orza di picco supera il
limite normativo di 400 N è necessario ricorrere alla rilevazione di presenza attiva
sull’intera altezza del cancello ( ino a 2,5m max) - Le otocellule in questo caso sono
da applicare all’esterno tra le colonne ed all’interno per tutta la corsa della parte
mobile ogni 60÷70cm per tutta l’altezza delle colonne del cancello ino ad un
massimo di 2,5m (EN 12445 punto 7.3.2.1) - es. colonne alte 2,2mt => 6 coppie di
otocellule - 3 interne e 3 esterne (meglio se dotate di sincronismo - 6 FIT SYNCRO
con 2 TX SYNCRO).

CONTROLE PRE-INSTALLATION
Le portail à battant doit être solidement ixé aux cardans des colonnes, ne doit pas lechir
pendant le mouvement et doit pouvoir manoeuvrer sans e ort.
Avant d'installer le MAGIC, il convient de veri ier tous les encombrements necessaires
pour proceder à l'installation. Si le portail se presente comme indiqué Fig. 2, aucune
modi ication n'est necessaire.
N.B. Il est impérati d'uni ormiser les caractéristiques du portail avec les normes et les
lois en vigueur. La porte peut être automatisée seulement si elle est en bon état et
qu’elle est con orme à la norme EN 12604.
- Le vantail ne doit pas comporter de portillon intégré. Dans le cas contraire, il sera
opportun de prendre les précautions décrites au point 5.4.1 de la EN 12453 (interdire,
par le biais d’un contact raccordé aux bornes adaptées de la platine électronique, la
mise en marche de l’automatisme si le portillon est ouvert).
- Ne pas générer de zone d’écrasement (par exemple entre le vantail ouvert et la
cloture).

CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES MOTOREDUCTEUR
MAGIC est un operateur réversible équipé d’un embrayage pour regler la orce du
moteur et sus réversibilité.
Il est également équipé d’un in de course mécanique, d’un levier et d’un couvercle de
passage.
Il est livré avec une compacte boîtier en acier a in de aciliter son enterrement (41x25,
h17cm).
MAGIC porte le vantail du portail et il est possible d’enlever le moteur sans avoir à ôter le
vantail.
MAGIC est réversible et ne nécessite donc pas de déblocage.
MAGIC peut actionner aisément des grilles et des portails pesant jusqu’à 350 kg avec
des vantaux d’une longueur allant jusqu’à 2,5 m avec un temps d’ouverture de 20
secondes dans la version 105°et un temps d’ouverture de 40 secondes dans la version
180°(con ormément aux normes)
MAGIC, dans sa version 105° (fig. 3) est équipé d’un variateur de vitesse du vantail,
tant en ouverture qu’en ermeture (ouverture lente au début puis rapide, ermeture rapide
au début puis lente à l’arrivé en butée).
MAGIC, dans la version 180° (Fig. 4) permet l’ouverture du vantail jusqu’à 180° si
l’arbre en sortie de moteur se trouve dans l’axe des gonds du vantail. Si l’arbre en sortie
de moteur se trouve décalé de 4,5 cm alors permet l’ouverture du vantail jusqu’à 150°.

PREPARER LA CIMENTATION DU CAISSON
- Creuser le sol en respectant les cotes rapportées sur le dessin en considérant que l’axe
des charnières devra tomber au milieu de la cote 500 (Fig. 5).
- Installer à côté de l’entrée du caisson un tube en PVC Ø 50 mm pour l’écoulement de
l’eau et un tube de type isolant de Ø 32 mm max., lexible et résistant pour la sortie des
câbles électriques (a in que le raccordement des câbles se asse à l’intérieur d’une
boîte de dérivation étanche. Celle-ci peut être emmurée ou ixée extérieurement,
raccordée à la terre, à une hauteur minimale de sécurité, et devra répondre aux
normes).
- A l’aide d’un niveau positionner le caisson de açon à ce que le bord supérieur du
couvercle soit au ras du sol.
CIMENTER LE MAGIC 105°
- Cimenter en aisant attention à ce que le mortier ne pénètre pas à l’intérieur du caisson
et en s’assurant que les côtés les plus courts du caisson sont parfaitement
parallèles au portail lorsque celui-ci est en position “FERME”.
- En iler le levier à ourche sur l’arbre du caisson graissé en s’assurant préalablement
que la crapaudine de bronze est montée sur l’arbre.
Le raccordement entre le vantail et le levier à ourche peut se aire comme indiqué sur
les igures 7-8.
N.B. : Lorsque le portail déjà installé dispose d’un support portant à terre, l’installation est
possible en se servant du moteur comme support (voir installation Fig. 8).
CIMENTER LE MAGIC 180°
Le MAGIC 180° est ourni en version ambidextre et peut être installé indi éremment sur
la droite ou la gauche du portail. Toutes les instructions du 105 sont valables.
De plus:
- Cimenter en prenant soin de ne pas introduire de mortier dans le caisson, en veillant à
ce que les côtés les plus courts du caisson soient parfaitement perpendiculaires
au portail en position “FERME” selon l’angle d’ouverture que l’on désire obtenir.
Le raccordement entre vantail et ourche peut être ait comme indiqué igures 9-10.
N.B.: Lorsque le portail déjà installé dispose d’un support portant à terre, l’installation est
possible en se servant du moteur comme support (voir installation Fig. 10).

REGLAGE DE L’EMBRAYAGE DE SECURITE
On accède à la vis de réglage de l’embrayage mécanique située sur le caisson du
réducteur en enlevant le couvercle (Fig. 13).
- Après avoir enlevé le bouchon de protection noir et dévissé le contre-écrou, tourner la
vis dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter la orce transmise aux
vantaux par le moteur.
Doser la orce du moteur de açon à ce qu’elle soit tout juste supérieure à celle requise
par le vantail pour se déplacer.
NOTA: Plus de force que vous placez sur l'em rayage de moteur, moins de
réversi ilité vous o tenez à partir de l'opérateur. Fig. 13

Pour arrêter le mouvement du portail dans les positions désirées, il su it d’agir sur les vis
des arrêts C et C1 en les bloquant ensuite avec leurs contre-écrous pour empêcher
qu’elles changent de position par la suite (Fig.12).
Pour délimiter la course du vantail déplacer la position de l’arrêt selon l’angle d’ouverture
maximum requis :
A = 120°÷155° / B = 155°÷170° / C = 170°÷180°.
L’arrêt est livré monté, il su it de régler la vis et de la bloquer avec l’écrou.
MAGIC SUR LE CÔTÉ GAUCHE DU PORTAIL (vue de l’intérieur de l’habitation), l’arrêt
de ermeture sera le C1 et celui de l’ouverture le C.
Il est aussi possible de déplacer l’arrêt Cen position Aou B, selon l’ouverture désirée.
MAGIC SUR LE CÔTÉ DROIT DU PORTAIL (vue de l’intérieur de l’habitation), l’arrêt de
ermeture sera le Cet celui de l’ouverture le C1.
Il est aussi possible de déplacer l’arrêt C1 en position A1 ou B1, selon l’ouverture
désirée.

Lorsqu’on utilise le MAGIC il n’est pas nécessaire de ixer des arrêts au sol ou ailleurs,
car il est équipé à l’intérieur de vis d’arrêt réglables pour stopper la course du vantail.
Pour accéder à ces vis, ôter le couvercle du MAGIC.
- Pour obtenir l’ouverture du portail désirée, il su it de visser ou de dévisser la vis d’arrêt
(A) et de bloquer ensuite le contre-écrou pour empêcher qu’elle change de position par
la suite (Fig.11).
Le même réglage doit être e ectué pour la ermeture, à l’aide la vis (C).

PORTAIL FERME

ENTRETIEN
Effectuer seulement par personnel specialisé apres avoir coupé l'alimentation.
Graisser tous les ans les parties mobiles à l’intérieur du caisson et contrôler la orce de
poussée exercée par le motoréducteur sur le portail:
En cas d’entretien du motoréducteur, il est possible de le sortir du caisson sans enlever
le vantail.
- Après avoir ôté le couvercle du caisson et débranché le câble d’alimentation du moteur,
extraire à la main le levier courbe de déplacement, de açon à pouvoir ouvrir le vantail
(Fig.15-A/B).
- Dévisser ensuite les quatre écrous qui ixent la plaque au caisson et qui bloquent le
réducteur en position.
Tous les deux ans, nous vous conseillons une révision générale avec vidange d'huile.

DEBLOCAGE D'URGENCE
E ectuer apres avoir coupé l'alimentation.
A in de pouvoir manœuvre manuellement le vantail, il est important de véri ier que :
- Il soit ourni des poignées adaptées sur le vantail
- Ces poignées doivent être positionnées de sorte à ne pas créer un danger durant leur
utilisation.
- L’e ort manuel pour mettre en mouvement le vantail ne doit pas excéder 225N pour les
portes et portails en usage privé, et 390N pour les portes et portails à usage industriel
et commercial (valeurs indiquées au paragraphe 5.3.5 de la norme EN 12453)
En cas de coupure de courant, pour ouvrir manuellement le portail, il su it d'agir
manuellement sur la serrure électrique du portail, puis de pousser manuellement les
vantaux (Fig. 14).
N.B. : En cas de portails à deux vantaux, pour une ermeture e icace au moyen d'une
serrure électrique, il est conseillé d'utiliser un verrou mécanique (cod. ACG5000).
Cet accessoire est habituellement monté à la base du premier vantail qui se erme.
Lorsque le second vantail arrive, il touche le verrou et ainsi bloque le premier vantail au
sol.
En revanche, le second vantail reste bloqué au premier grâce à la serrure électrique
montée solidement à mi-hauteur.

INSTRUCTIONS TRÈS IMPORTANTES EN MATIÈRE DE
SÉCURITÉ POUR L'INSTALLATION
1° - Si la centrale électrique ne dispose d'aucun interrupteur, il aut en installer un de
type magnétothermique en amont de cette dernière (omnipolaire avec ouverture
minimale des contacts correspondant à 3mm); la marque de cet interrupteur devra
être en con ormité avec les normes internationales. Ce dispositi doit être protégé
contre toute remise en onction accidentelle (ex. en l’installant dans un co re
ermant à clé).
2° - En ce qui concerne la section et le type des câbles, le conseil de la RIB est celui
d'utiliser un câble de type NPI07VVF présentant une section minimale de 1,5mm2et,
quoi qu'il en soit, de se con ormer à la norme IEC 364, ainsi qu'aux normes
d'installation en vigueur dans le pays de destination.
3° - Positionnement d’un éventuel jeu de photocellules : le aisceau des photocellules ne
doit pas être à une hauteur supérieure à 70 cm du sol et 20 cm du bord du vantail.
Leur correct e ectivité onctionnement doit être véri ié terminant l’installation, selon
le point de la 7.2.1 de la EN 12445.
4° - A in de satis aire aux limites imposées par la norme EN 12453, si la orce d’impact
dépasse la limite de 400N, il sera nécessaire de détecter une présence sur la
hauteur totale du portail (jusqu'à un maximum de 2,5m) - Les cellules photo-
électriques dans ce cas-ci doivent être s'appliquent extérieurement entre les colums
et intérieurement pour toute la course de la pièce de mobil chaque 60÷70cm pour
toute la taille de la colonne de la porte jusqu'à un maximum de 2,5m (EN 12445
point 7.3.2.1) - exemple: taille 2,2m de colonne = > 6 copies des cellules photo-
électriques - 3 internes et 3 externes (meilleur si complet du dispositi de syncronism
- FIT SYNCRO avec TX SYNCRO).
N.B.:La mise à terre de l'installation est o ligatoire.

The lea must be ixed irmily on the hinges to the pillars, must not be lexible during the
movement and must move without rictions.
Be ore the installation o MAGIC, veri y all dimensions etc.
There's no need or any modi ication, i the gate is like that shown in Fig. 2.
N.B.: Gate eatures must be uni ormed with the standards and laws in orce. The
door/gate can be automated only i it is in a good condition and its conditions comply with
the EN 12604 norm.
- The door/gate lea does not have to have a pedestrian opening. In the opposite case it
is necessary to take the appropriate steps, in accordance with EN 12453 norm ( or
instance; by preventing the operation o the motor when the pedestrian opening is
opened, by installing a sa ety microswitch connected with the control panel).

GEARMOTOR TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The MAGIC is a reversible operator with a mechanical cluth to adjust the orce o the
motor ad its reversibility (more orce you set, less reversible it is).
The operator comes complete with a mechanical limit switch group, a transmission lever,
and a tra icable cover.
The MAGIC is supplied as a compact unit complete with a steel oundation box
(41x25x17h cm).
The pro ile o the box is recessed to acilitate installation.
The MAGIC unctions as a load-bearing centre hinge, designed in such a way that the
motor can be removed or servicing purposes without taking down the gate.
The MAGIC drive is reversible, and there ore requires no release mechanism.
The MAGIC will com ortably operate gates and doors up to 350 kg in weight and 2.5
metres in length, with an opening time o 20 seconds or the 105° version and 40
seconds or the 180° version (in compliance with current standards).
MAGIC 105° version (fig 3): this has a system controlling the speed o the opening and
closing movements (opening movement initially slow, then ast; closing movement
initially ast, then slow immediately be ore shutting).
MAGIC 180° version (fig 4): installing this version, a gate can be rotated through 180° i
the drive sha t is coaxially aligned with the hinge centre, or through 150° with the drive
sha t o set rom the centre o rotation by up to 4.5 cm.

PREPARE THE CEMENTATION OF THE BOX
- Dig the pit ully up to the wall or gate post, keeping to the dimensions indicated in the
drawing and remembering that the hinge centre should all hal way along the Ø 500
dimension ( ig 5).
- Attach a 50 mm PVC tube to the water drain outlet on one side o the box, and a heavy
duty lexible insulating tube o Ø 32 mm max to the power cable outlet (Electrical
connections are made remote rom the unit internally o a sealed junction box, which
can be either let into a wall or sur ace mounted, but must in any event be installed at a
minimum height above ground su icient to ensure compliance with sa ety standards).
- Position the oundation box in the pit so that the topmost sur ace o the cover is lush
with the inished loor or paving.
MAGIC 105° INSTALLATION
- Anchor the box with cement mortar, taking care that none o the mix inds its way into
the enclosure, and checking that the shorter sides are faultlessly parallel with the
gate when in the SHUT position.
- Couple the transmission lever to the output sha t a ter you have greased it, checking
irst that the bronze thrust bearing is itted to the sha t.
The connection between gate and lever can be made as indicated in igs 7 and 8.
NB - When converting an existing gate with a load bearing support at ground level, the
MAGIC unit can be utilized as a replacement support (see installation ig 8).
MAGIC 180° INSTALLATION
The MAGIC 180° is universal and can be itted to a le t or right hand opening gate; the
procedure is the same as or the 105°, with the ollowing exception:
- Anchor the box with cement mortar, taking care that none o the mix inds its way into
the enclosure, and checking that the shorter sides are faultlessly square with the
gate when in the SHUT position, depending on the required opening arc.

SAFETY CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT
Li t the cover o the box to reveal the adjuster screw o the mechanical clutch located on
top o the speed reducer casing ( ig 13).
- Remove the black protective cap, release the lock nut, and rotate the screw clockwise
to increase the orce transmitted by the motor to the gate.
The adjustment should be made in such a way as to obtain a orce marginally greater
than that e ectively required to set the gate in motion.
N.B.: More force you set on the motor clutch, less reversi ility you o tain from the

ADJUSTMENT OF MAGIC 180° MECHANICAL LIMIT SWITCHES
To adjust the travel limits to the required positions, simply turn the relative screws Cand
C1 le t or right as appropriate, then secure the locks nuts to prevent the screws rom
slipping out o position subsequently (Fig.12).
Be ore this adjustment is made, the angular position o the stop must be selected
according to the maximum opening arc required:
A = 120°÷155° / B = 155°÷170° / C = 170°÷180°.
The limiter is supplied already assembled; the installer need only adjust the screw and
secure the relative lock nut.
MAGIC INSTALLED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE GATE (viewed rom inside the
premises), C1 will limit the closing movement and Cthe opening movement.
Ccan also be repositioned at Aor Baccording to the opening arc required.
MAGIC INSTALLED ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE GATE (viewed rom inside
the premises), Cwill limit the closing movement and C1 the opening movement. C1 can
also be repositioned at A1 or B1 according to the opening arc required.

ADJUSTMENT OF MAGIC 105° MECHANICAL STOPPER
The MAGIC system requires no loor stops or other accessories as the gate travel limit is
determined by means o set screws located internally o the box. Access to the screws is
gained by li ting the cover.
- To adjust the travel limit or the opening movement o the gate, simply turn the screw
(A) le t or right as appropriate, then secure the lock nut to prevent the screw rom
slipping out o position subsequently ( ig 11).
The procedure is the same or the screw (C) controlling the closing movement.

GATE SHUT

MAINTENANCE
To e undertaken y specialized staff after disconnecting power supply.
Make certain that moving parts located inside the box are greased once a year, and
check the orce transmitted through the drive to the gate.
In the event that the need or servicing or repairs should arise, the speed reducer can be
removed rom the box without taking down the gate.
- Li t the cover rom the box, isolate the motor rom the power supply by disconnecting
the cable, then remove the curved lever: the gate can now swing reely (Fig.15-A/B).
- Therea ter, loosen the our nuts which secure the ixing plate to the box and serve to
clamp the speed reducer in position.
The motor should be overhauled every two years and the oil replaced.

EMERGENCY RELEASE
To be undertaken a ter disconnecting power supply.
In order to carry out the manual operation o the gate lea the ollowings must be
checked:
- That the gate is endowed with appropriate handles;
- That these appropriate handles are placed so to avoid sa ety risks or the operator;
- That the physical e ort necessary to move the gate lea should not be higher than 225
N, or doors/gates or private dwellings, and, 390N or doors/gates or commercial and
industrial sites ( values indicated in 5.3.5 o the EN 12453 norm) .
In the case o power ailure, the gate may be opened manually by releasing the electric
lock, then by pushing the gate (Fig. 14).
N.B. In the case o two-lea gates, a mechanical bolt (code ACG5000) is recommended
to ensure that the electric lock closes the gate securely.
This accessory is usually mounted at the oot o the lea that closes irst.
In closing, the second lea touches the bolt, thereby locking the irst to the ground.
The second lea is locked to the irst thanks to the electric lock, usually mounted at mid-
height.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION
1° - Install a thermal magnetic switch (omnipolar, with a minimum contact opening o 3
mm) be ore the control board, in case this is not provided with it. The switch shall be
guaranteed by a mark o compliance with international standards. Such a device
must be protected against accidental closing (e.g. Installing it inside the control panel
key locked container).
2° - As ar as the cable section and the cable kind are concerned, RIB suggests to use
an NPI07VVF cable, with a minimum section o 1,5mm2, and to ollow, In any case,
the IEC 364 standard and Installation regulations In orce In your Country.
3° - Positioning o an eventual pair o photocells: The beam o the photocells must be at
an height not above the 70 cm rom the ground, and, should not be more than 20 cm
away rom the axis o operation o the gate (Sliding track or sliding gate or door, and
the hinges or the swing gate). In accordance with the point 7.2.1 o EN 12445 their
correct unctioning must be checked once the whole installation has been
completed.
4° - In order to comply with the limits de ined by the EN 12453 norm, i the peak orce is
higher than the limit o 400N set by the norm, it is necessary to use an active
obstacle detection system on the whole height o the gate (up to a maximum o
2,5m) - The photocells in this case must be apply externally between the colums and
internally or all the race o the mobil part every 60÷70cm or all the height o the
column o the gate up to a maximum o 2,5m (EN 12445 point 7.3.2.1). example:
column height 2,2m => 6 copies o photocells - 3 internal and 3 external (better i
complete o syncronism eature - FIT SYNCRO with TX SYNCRO).
N.B.: THE SYSTEM MUST BE GROUNDED
