WARNING: means if the safety infor-
mation is not followed someone

CAUTION: means if the safety infor-
mation is not followed someone may

Before Using the Portable Work Support
Read the following warning located on the leg assembly:
When Setting Up and Using the Portable Work Support
Reduce the risk of dangerous envi-
ronment.
• Use the work support in a dry,
indoor place protected from rain.
• Keep work area well lighted.
• Put the work support where neither
operators nor bystanders must
stand in line with the tool’s blade.
Never stand on work support.
• Serious injury could occur if the
stand tips or you accidentally hit
the cutting tool. Do not store any
items above or near the stand
where anyone might climb on the
stand to reach them.
• Maximum weight placed on work
support must be 250 pounds or
less.
To reduce the risk of injury from
unexpected tool movement.
• Check to make sure work support
does not rock, slide or move prior
to use.
• Put the stand on a firm level sur-
face where there is plenty of room
to handle and properly support the
workpiece.
3
To Reduce the Risk of Injury From Jams, Slips Or Thrown Pieces
(Kickbacks Or Throwbacks)
Inspect your work area.
• Keep work area clean.
• Cluttered areas and benches invite
accidents. Floor must not be slip-
pery from wax or sawdust.
• To reduce the risk of burns or other
fire damage, never use the work
support and tool near flammable
liquids, vapors or gases.
Plan Ahead To Protect Your Eyes, Hands, Face and Ears
Dress for safety
• Plan ahead to protect your eyes,
hands, face, ears.
• Do not wear loose clothing, gloves,
neckties or jewelry (rings, wrist
watches). They can get caught and
draw you into moving parts.
• Wear nonslip footwear.
• Tie back long hair.
• Roll long sleeves above the elbow.
• Noise levels vary widely. To reduce
the risk of possible hearing dam-
age, wear ear plugs or muffs when
using tool for hours at a time.
• For dusty operations, wear a dust
mask along with safety goggles.
• Any power tool can throw foreign
objects into the eyes, which can
result in severe eye damage.
Always wear safety goggles, not
glasses, complying with ANSI
Z87.1(or in Canada CSA Z94.3-99)
shown on package. Everyday eye-
glasses have only impact resistant
lenses. They are not safety
glasses.
• Safety Goggles are available at
many local retail stores. Glasses or
goggles not in compliance with
ANSI or CSA could seriously hurt
you when they break.
Keep Children Away
• Keep all visitors a safe distance
from the tool.
• Make sure bystanders are clear of
the tool and workpiece.
Before freeing jammed material
•Turnswitch"OFF".
• Wait for all moving parts to stop.
• Unplug the tool.
Before leaving the work support
and tool
• Turn the tool off.
• Wait for tool to stop.
• Unplug the tool.

the shop. Disconnect master
switches.

to their full outward position. Loosen

height of table to support the work-
piece. Tighten knob firmly. Remove
locking pin.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury from unexpected tool
movement, check to make sure
work support does not rock,
slide or move prior to use.
2. Instructions for outfeed support - pivot
position:
a. Rotate the table so that the arrows
printed on the table are pointing up.
b. Align the stand so that the outfeed
arrows match the outfeed direction
of the workpiece. Place the stand
at the distance from the tool so that
the workpiece is supported during
the cut.
c. Place the locking pin in the upper
hole in the table flange. This will pre-
vent the pivoting table from rotating
too far, when pushing a workpiece
off the back of the stand.
3. Instructions for lateral support - hori-
zontal lock:
a. Rotate the table until it is horizontal.
Place the locking pin in the lower
