DESCRIPTION
The Socle Box is an optional accessory compatible with UPS devices belonging to the MultiSentry 60-
80-100kVA family.
This accessory which allows creating an additional space in the lower part of the UPS so that it can be
installed more easily in those places in which its wiring is especially critical.

INSTALLATION
P REPARING FOR INSTALLATION
With the UPS positioned on top of the pallet, and referring to the picture below, proceed as follows:
A – Move the UPS slightly backward (being careful not to exceed the limit of the pallet) in order to free up
the space required to secure the slides supplied along with the UPS:
B – Turn the slides over so the their sides are facing upward, as shown in the figure. Secure the ends of
the slides to the pallet using the screws supplied along with the UPS.
C – Secure the other 2 ends of the slides to the Socle Box using the 4 black M4x8 screws supplied.

Once the positioning instructions have been completed, in order to improve hold, it is recommended the
front wheels of the Socle Box be locked using the brakes located on them.
Brakes indicated in the picture.
To lock them in place tighten the screw on the
wheels.
L OADING THE UPS
Once all of the preceding steps have been correctly carried out, load the UPS on top of the Socle Box as
follows:
ATTENTION: TO AVOID DAMAGE TO PERSONS AND/OR THE EQUIPMENT, CAREFULLY
OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:
A MINIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED TO LOAD THE UPS.
Centre the wheels of the UPS using the
slides and start pushing.
Ensure the wheels are properly inserted in the
tracks of the Socle Box and continue to push
Slow the stroke of the UPS to avoid
violently hitting the limit stop.
When the wheels are close to the limit stop,
brake the wheels of the UPS as indicated
above. Remove the pallet and slides.

W IRING THE UPS
The Socle Box is equipped with different openings on its various sides and an inner holed bar to simplify
the wiring operations of the UPS.
A– Upper fixed opening for the passage of wires coming from the UPS.
B– Recloseable windows on both sides. Designed to facilitate working inside the Socle Box and to
allow the passage of wires from the rear part if necessary.
C– Mobile lower window for the passage of wires, equipped with adjustable closure, depending on
needs.
D– Holed bar to allow tightening the wires which pass through the Socle Box using simple clamps. The
bar can be raised/lowered using the dedicated fastening holes on the sides, as shown in figure (see
d1). Each of these holes can be used for grounding the Socle Box using a screw present on one of
the side bars (see d1).
F INAL ASSEMBLY
Once the UPS wiring is complete and any windows not used by the Socle Box have been closed, proceed
with securing the UPS using the 2 side fixing brackets and the 8 galvanised M6x8 screws supplied.
Assemble the front bulkhead using the 8 black M4x8 screws supplied.
The structure thus obtained is stable as a whole and post-installation handling operations can be carried
out safely; but if environmental circumstances or supply requirements require the ups be fixed to the
ground, use the two L-shaped brackets supplied with the Socle Box to secure it to the ground.
