Safety Informaon
Understand and follow operang instrucons carefully. Use the meter only as specied
in this manual; otherwise, the protecon provided by the meter may be impaired.

WARNING
• When using test leads or probes, keep your ngers behind the nger guards.
• Remove test lead from Meter before opening the baery door or meter case.
• Use the Meter only as specied in this manual or the protecon by the Meter might be
impaired.
• Always use proper terminals, switch posion, and range for measurements.
• Verify the Meter’s operaon by measuring a known voltage. If in doubt, have the Meter
serviced.
• Do not apply more than the rated voltage, as marked on Meter, between terminals or
between any terminal and earth ground.
• Only replace the blown fuse with the proper rang as specied in this manual.
• Use cauon with voltages above 30 Vac rms, 42 Vac peak, or 60 Vdc. These voltages pose
a shock hazard.
• To avoid false readings that can lead to electric shock and injury, replace baery as soon
as low baery indicator.
• Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors
before tesng resistance, connuity, diodes, or capacitance.
• Do not use Meter around explosive gas or vapor.
• To reduce the risk of re or electric shock do not expose this product to rain or moisture.

Unsafe Voltage
To alert you to the presence of a potenally hazardous voltage, when the Tester detects a
voltage 30 V or a voltage overload (OL) in V, mV, AutoV . The symbol is displayed.
Maintenance
Do not aempt to repair this Meter. It contains no userserviceable parts. Repair or servicing
should only be performed by qualied personnel.
Cleaning
Periodically wipe the case with a dry cloth and detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
•Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before tesng
resistance, connuity, diodes, or capacitance.
•Do not use Meter around explosive gas or vapor.
•To reduce the risk of re or electric shock do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
•Disconnect the test leads from the test points before changing the posion of the
funcon rotary switch.
•Do not expose Meter to extremes in temperature or high humidity.
•Never set the meter in A funcon to measure the voltage of a power supply
circuit in equipment that could result in damage the meter and the equipment under test.

Making Basic Measurements
Measuring ACV/DCV/AutoV Voltage
Dial the switch to select the measuring funcon
Preparaon and Cauon Before Measurement
: Observe the rules of Warnings and Cauons
CAUTION
When connecng the test leads to the DUT (Device Under Test) connect the common test
leads before connecng the live test leads ; when removing the test leads, remove the live
test leads before removing the common test leads.

Dial the switch and press the Funcon buon to select the measuring funcon

Dial the switch and press the Funcon buon to select the measuring funcon

Dial the switch and press the Funcon buon to select the measuring funcon.

VoltSeek
Dial the switch and press the RANGE buon to select the measuring funcon and
sensivity.
The VoltSeek LED indicates the electric eld. If the VoltSeek LED is not on, voltage could sll
be present.

Using the Function
Range Buon
Press the Funcon buon to change the funcon on the same switch posion.

Peak Hold (for AC only)
In the Peak Hold funcon ,the meter records the peak min. value and the peak max. value
when the inputs goes below the recorded peak min. value or above the recorded peak max.
value ,the meter records the new value. Press Hold buon to pause the recording.

Smart Hold

The meter will beep connuously and the display will ash if the measured signal is larger
than the display reading by 50 counts. (However ,it cannot detect across the AC and DC
Voltage / Current).
Press the Relave buon to enable/disenable this funcon.

Backlight
Auto Power O
Press the Backlight buon to turn the backlight on/o.
Wake-up the meter by dialing the switch or pressing any buon.

Disable Auto Power O
Testing LCD Monitor
Dial the switch to o posion ,then keep the Funcon buon down
and turn the meter on.
Dial the switch to o posion ,then keep the HOLD buon down
and turn the meter on.

Low Baery and Baery Replacement
Replace the baery as soon as the low baery indicator appears, to avoid false reading.
Refer to the following gure to replace the baeries
Remove test leads from meter before opening the baery cover or meter case.
