PRECAUTIONS
 INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before
the radio is operated. The manual should be retained for future reference.
 HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions
should be adhered to.
 WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near liquids or in ro-
oms with a high level of humidity.
 VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position do-
es not interfere with its proper ventilation.
 HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radia-
tors, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
 POWER SOURCE - The radio should be connected to power supply only of the
type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
 POWER CORD PROTECTION - Power supply cord should be routed so that it is
not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon/against them.
 OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall
and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
 SERVICING - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that de-
scrive in the user operating instructions. All the servicing should be referred to quali-
fied service personnel.
Note: If the display does not function properly or no reaction to any control may due to

the electrostatic discharge. Switch off, disconnect AC cord then turn the power back on
after a few seconds.
POWER SOURCES
AC POWER: To power your radio, plug the AC power cord into into a wall AC power out-
let. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.
CLOCK AND DATE SETTING
When the radio is OFF:
1. Press and hold [STOP] (14) to access to the menu;
2. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to select 12 or 24 h;
3. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14);
4. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to adjust the hour;
5. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14);
6. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to adjust the minutes;
7. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14);
8. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to set the date.
SETTING TIMER
When the radio is OFF:
1. Press and hold [TIMER] button (22);
2. The hour digits will flash on the display. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to adjust
the hour;
3. Confirm with the [TIMER] button (22);
4. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to adjust the minutes;
5. Confirm with the [TIMER] button (22);
6. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to choose the alarm mode: DAB/FM/CD/USB;
7. Confirm with the [TIMER] button (22);
8. Press the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to adjust the volume;
9. Confirm with the [TIMER] button (22);
10. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to set the “OFF TIME”.
ACTIVATE / DEACTIVATE ALARM SETTINGS:
In standby, press repeatedly the [TIMER] button (22) to select “AlarmON” or “AlarmOFF”.
SLEEP TIMER
The sleep timer switches the radio off automatically after an adjustable time.
When the radio is ON:
1. Press and hold the [TIMER] button (22);
2. Use the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to select the desired timer;
3. Confirm with the [TIMER] button (22);
Note: To remove the sleep timer select “Sleep OFF”.
NAVIGATE INTO THE MENU
1. Press the [MENU] button (9) to access to the options;
2. Use the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to navigate into the options;
3. Press [ENTER] button (14) to select the options;
4. Press [MENU] (9) to exit the menu.

FACTORY RESET
1. Press [MENU] (9) to access to the menu;
2. Use the [SKIP -/+] button(10/11) to navigate into the options and select “System”;
3. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14);
4. Use the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to select “Factory Reset”;
5. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14);
6. Use the [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11) to select “yes”;
7. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14).
TO USE THE RADIO
1. Set the Mains [POWER SWITCH] (0) to ON;
2. Press the [POWER] button (1) to power ON;
3. (The first time you power on the radio, the radio will scan the DAB radio stations
automatically. It will display and play the first station after the scan is done);
4. Select the desired audio source by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
5. (Please see detailed instructions for each Source in the following chapters);
6. Adjust the volume with the [VOLUME KNOB] (2) to the desired level;
7. To power OFF the radio, press the [POWER] button (1).
DAB RADIO OPERATION
1. Select “DAB” mode by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
2. Use the [TUNE -/+] buttons (10/11) to select the desired radio station.
Note: In case there is No DAB Service, press the [SCAN] button (12) to start scan.
Note: For a better reception reorient the antenna (17).
FM RADIO OPERATION
1. Select “FM” mode by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
2. Press the [TUNE -/+] buttons (10/11) to manually select the frequence or press and
hold (2 seconds) to scan the next/previous available station.
Note: For a better reception reorient the antenna (17).
STORE RADIO STATIONS AUTOMATICALLY:
Press the [SCAN] button (12) and the radio will automatically scan the radio. During the
scanning process, the radio will save the scanned stations sequentially into the memory.
PRESET
There are 20 presets available for DAB and 20 presets for FM.
1. Set the desired radio station frequency as explained previously;
2. Press and hold the [PRESET] button (15);
3. Choose the number of preset using the [TUNE -/+] buttons (10/11);
4. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14).
RECALL A PRESET STATION
1. Press the [PRESET] button (15);
2. Select the desired preset using the [TUNE -/+] buttons (10/11);
3. Confirm with the [ENTER] button (14).
INFO
When the radio station is playing, press the [INFO] button (8) repeatedly to cycle through
the information broadcasted by the radio.

CD-MP3 OPERATION
1. Select “CD” mode by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
2. Press [OPEN/CLOSE] (7) to open the [CD DOOR] (6) and place a CD with the label
up in the CD compartment.
3. Close the [CD DOOR] (6). Focus search is performed and playback will start auto-
matically from the first track.
PROGRAMMING
Up to 99 tacks (MP3, 20 in CD) can be programmed and play in any order.
1. Stop the playback by pressing [STOP] (14);
2. Press [PROGRAM] (9), the display (5) will show the number of the track on
the left side and the number of program on the right side.
3. Select desired track by using [SKIP -/+] buttons (10/11);
4. Press [PROGRAM] (9) to confirm desired track into the programmemory;
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 to enter additional tracks into the program memory.
6. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press [PLAY] (12) to play the
disc in the order you have programmed.
Note: Press [STOP] (14) twice to terminate programmed play.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
1. Select “BT” mode by by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
2. Connect your Bluetooth portable device to the ID Bluetooth tagged as “HRA-
1782ND+BT”;
3. You can now transfer the music to the HRA-1782ND+BT.
Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) must be done from your external device.
AUX-IN OPERATION
1. Use one male RCA to male 3.5mm jack cable (not included) to connect any exter-
nal audio device to the [AUX-IN SOCKET] (18);
2. Select “AUX” mode by turning the [MODE] knob (1).
Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) must be done from your external device.
USB OPERATION
1. Select “USB” mode by turning the [MODE] knob (1);
2. Plug an USB stick into the [USB PORT] (3);
3. Playback will start automatically from the first track.
PROGRAMMING
The PROGRAMMING operation is the same as that of CD-MP3.
Notes:
 Some mp3 player may not be able to play via the usb socket. this is not a maul-
function of the system.
 To avoid damage to USB memory, remove it only when the radio is turned off.
 The USB port is not designed for charging smartphones or other devices.

DIRECT USB ENCODING
Remark:
 Recording speed is 1:1.
 No song title will be recorded during encoding mode.
 To avoid damage to USB memory, remove it only when the radio is turned off.
ENCODE FROM DAB+, BLUETOOTH AND AUX:
1. Plug the USB stick into the [USB PORT] (3);
2. Perform normal playback of the source you want to encode & record;
3. Press and hold the [RECORD] button (13) to start encoding. The display will show
“REC”;
4. Once the record is finished, press the [STOP] button (14) to stop recording.
ENCODE FROM CD:
1. Plug the USB stick into the [USB PORT] (3);
2. Perform normal playback of the CD you want to encode & record;
3. After focus search is completed, press and hold the [RECORD] button (13);
4. Press repeatedly the [SKIP -/+] button (10/11) to select the desired encoding option:
 REC-ONE: Select to record only the current track;
 REC-FOLDER: Select to record the whole folder;
 REC-ALL: Select to record all the tracks of the CD.
5. Press the [RECORD] button (13) to confirm;
6. The playback will stop and restart automatically and on the display (5) “REC” will
flash. Encoding is performing now;
7. Press the [STOP] button (14) to finish recording.
Note: After completing of encoding, unit will stop playback and encoding automatically.
DELETE TRACKS FROM USB
1. Perform normal playback of the track you want to delete;
2. During playback of the track you want to delete, press the [DELETE] button (13).
3. Press repeatedly the [SKIP -/+] button (10/11) to select the desired encoding option:
 DEL-ONE: Select to record only the current track;
 DEL-FOLDER: Select to record the whole folder;
 DEL-ALL: Select to record all the tracks of the CD.
4. Press the [DELETE] button (13) to confirm.
REPEAT - RANDOM MODE
During playback, press repeatedly the [REPEAT] (8) to select:
 REP-ONE: The current track is played repeatedly.
 REP-FOLDER: The current folder is played repeatedly.
 REP-ALL: All tracks are played repeatedly.
 Random: Tracks are played randomly.
EQ OPERATIONS
In any mode, you may press & hold [EQ] button (20), then shortly press it repeatedly to
select between FLAT / POP / CLASSIC / ROCK / JAZZ.

The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of important instruc-
tions accompanying the product.
The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of
“dangerous voltage” inside the unit.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. No user serviceable parts inside the
unit. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
This unit operates on 230V ~ 50Hz. If the unit is not used for a long period of time, remove the
plug from the AC mains.
Ensure all connections are properly made before operating the unit.
This unit must not be exposed to moisture or rain.
This unit should be positioned so that it is properly ventilated. Avoid placing it, for example, close

7. Drücken Sie die Taste [ENTER] (14) zu bestätigen.
RADIO BENUTZUNG
1. Stellen Sie den [ON/OFF STROMSCHALTER] (0) auf ON;
2. Drücken Sie zum Einschalten die Taste [POWER] (1);
3. (Wenn Sie das Radio zum ersten Mal einschalten, sucht das Gerät nach DAB-
Radiosendern. Wenn die Suche abgeschlossen ist, wird der erste Sender angezeigt
und gespielt);
4. Drehen Sie den [MODUS] (1), um die gewünschte Audioquelle auszuwählen;

6. Ändern Sie die Lautst. mit den [LAUTSTÄRKE REGLER] (2) auf die gewünschte

DAB-RADIOBETRIEB
1. Wählen Sie den "DAB" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
2. Drucken Sie die Tasten [SKIP -/+] (10/11), um den gewünschten Radiosender aus-
zuwählen;
Hinweis: Wenn kein DAB-Signal vorhanden ist, drücken Sie die Taste [SCAN] (12), um
den Scan-Vorgang zu starten.
Hinweis: Richten Sie die Antenne (17) für einen besseren Empfang aus.
UKW RADIOBETRIEB
1. Wählen Sie den "FM" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
2. Ändern die Funkfrequenz bis zur gewünschte Funkstation druckend die Tasten
[TUNE -/+] (10/11) oder halten Sie die Taste gedrückt (2 Sekunden), und es wird
nach dem nächsten verfügbaren Sender gesucht.
Hinweis: Richten Sie die Antenne (17) für einen besseren Empfang aus.
AUTOMATISCHE SUCHLAUF:
Drücken Sie die Taste [SCAN] (12), um den automatische Suchlauf zu starten. Während
des Scan speichert das Radio die gescannten Sender sequenziell im Speicher.
VOREINSTELLUNG
Es stehen 20 Voreinstellungen für DAB und 20 für UKW zur Verfügung.
1. Ändern die Funkfrequenz bis zur gewünschte Funkstation wie zuvor beschrieben ein;
2. Drücken un halten Sie die Taste [PRESET] (15) gedrückt;
3. Wählen Sie die Nummer für die Voreinstellung durch drücken [SKIP -/+] (10/11);
4. Drücken Sie zur Bestätigung die Taste [ENTER] (14).
GESPEICHERTEN SENDER AUFZURUFEN
1. Drücken Sie die Taste [PRESET] (15);
2. Wählen Sie das gewünschte Preset durch drücken [SKIP -/+] (10/11);
3. Drücken Sie zur Bestätigung die Taste [ENTER] (14).
INFO
Wenn der Radiosender wiedergegeben wird, drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste [INFO]
(8), um auf die vom Radio übertragenen Info.
WIEDERGABE EINER CD
1. Wählen Sie den "CD" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
2. Drücken Sie die Taste [OPEN/CLOSE] (7), um das [CD LAUFWERK] (6) zu öffnen.
Legen Sie eine CD mit dem Etikett nach oben zeigend ein;
3. Schließen Sie das [CD LAUFWERK] (6). Die CD Wiedergabe startet automatisch mit
dem ersten Titel.
PROGRAMMIERUNG
Bis zu 99 Titel bei MP3 Wiedergabe und 20 Titel bei herkömmlichen Audio-CDs können
programmiert und in beliebiger Reihenfolge abgespielt werden :

1. Drücken Sie die Taste [STOP] (14) um die Wiedergabe zu stoppen ;
2. Drücken Sie die Taste [PROGRAM] (9). Das Display (5) zeigt „P01“;
3. Drücken Sie die Taste [SKIP -/ +] (10/11) um den gewünschten Titel zu wählen;
4. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste [PROGRAM] (9), um den gewünschten Titel im Pro-
grammspeicher zu speichern ;
5. Wiederholen Sie Schritte 3 und 4, um weitere Titel in den Programmspeicher ein-
zugeben;
6. Wenn alle gewünschten Titel programmiert wurden, drücken Sie die Taste [PLAY]
(12), um die CD in der von Ihnen programmierten Reihenfolge abzuspielen.
Hinweis: Drücken Sie zweimal die Taste [STOP] (14), um die programmierte Wiederga-
be zu beenden.
BLUETOOTH MODUS
1. Wählen Sie den "BT" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
2. Verbinden Sie Ihr tragbares Bluetooth-Gerät mit der Bluetooth ID "HRA-
1782ND+BT”;
3. Sie können die Musik jetzt auf den HRA-1782ND+BT für die Wiedergabe übertragen.
Hinweis: Die Musiksteuerung (Wiedergabe, Pause usw.) muss von Ihrem externen Ge-
rät aus erfolgen.
AUX-IN BETRIEB
1. Verwenden Sie ein RCA - 3,5mm jack kabel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten), um
ein externes Audiogerät an die [AUX IN BUCHSE] (18) anzuschließen;
2. Wählen Sie den "AUX" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
Hinweis: Die Musikbedienung (Wiedergabe, Pause usw.) muss von Ihrem ext. Gerät aus
erfolgen.
WIEDERGABE VON USB
1. Wählen Sie den "USB" Modus durch drehen den Taste [MODE] (1) aus;
2. Stecken Sie eine USB-Stick in die [USB BUCHSE] (3);
3. Die Wiedergabe beginnt automatisch mit dem ersten Titel.
PROGRAMMIERUNG
Der PROGRAMMIER-Vorgang ist der gleiche wie der von CD-MP3.
Hinweis:
 Einige MP3-Player können möglicherweise nicht über den USB-Anschluss wieder-
gegeben werden.
 Um Schäden am USB-stick zu vermeiden, entfernen Sie ihn nur, wenn das Radio
ausgeschaltet ist.
 Die USB Buchse ist nicht zum laden von Smartphones oder anderen Geräten ge-
dacht.

Anmerkung:
 Aufnahmegeschwindigkeit ist 1:1.
 Während des Kodierungsmodus wird kein Songtitel aufgenommen.

VON DAB+, BLUETOOTH UND AUX:
1. Stecken Sie den USB-Stick in die [USB BUCHSE] (3);
2. Führen Sie die normale Wiedergabe des Titels durch, den Sie kodieren und aufneh-
men möchten;
3. Drücken und halten Sie die Taste [RECORD] (13), um mit der Codierung zu begin-
nen. Das Display zeigt "REC";
4. Um die Aufnahme zu beenden drücken Sie die Taste [STOP] (14).
VON CD
1. Stecken Sie den USB-Stick in die [USB BUCHSE] (3);
2. Führen Sie die normale Wiedergabe der CD durch, die Sie aufzeichnen möchten;
3. Drücken und halten Sie die Taste [RECORD] (13), nachdem die CD eingelesen ist;
4. Drücken Sie wiederholt die Tasten [SKIP -/+] (10/11) während der Wiedergabe, um
die gewünschte Kodierungsoption auszuwählen:
 REC-ONE: Wählen Sie diese Option, um nur den aktuellen Titel aufzunehmen.
 REC-FOLDER: Wählen Sie diese Option, um den gesamten Ordner aufzuzei-
chnen.
 REC-ALL: Wählen Sie diese Option, um alle Titel der CD aufzunehmen.
5. Bestätigen Sie mit der Taste [RECORD] (13);
6. Die Wiedergabe startet automatisch und das Display zeigt "REC". Die Aufnahme
läuft jetzt;
7. Um die Aufnahme zu beenden drücken Sie die Taste [STOP] (14).
Hinweis: Ist die CD komplett durchgelaufen stoppt die Wiedergabe und die Aufnahme
von selbst.
LÖSCHEN SIE LIEDER VOM USB-GERÄT
1. Führen Sie die normale Wiedergabe des Titels durch, den Sie löschen möchten;
2. Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste [DELETE] (13);
3. Drücken Sie wiederholt die Tasten [SKIP -/+] (10/11), um die gewünschte option au-
szuwählen:
 DEL-ONE: Wählen Sie diese Option, um nur den aktuellen Titel löschen.
 DEL-FOLDER: Wählen Sie diese Option, um den gesamten Ordner löschen.
 DEL-ALL: Wählen Sie diese Option, um alle Titel der USB löschen.
4. Bestätigen Sie mit der Taste [DELETE] (13).
WIEDERHOLEN MODUS
Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe wiederholt [REPEAT] (8), um Folgendes auszu-
wählen:
 Repeat-One: Der aktuelle Titel wird wiederholt abgespielt.
 Repeat-Folder: Der aktuelle Ordner wird wiederholt abgespielt.
 Repeat-All: Alle Titel werden wiederholt.
 Random: Die Titel werden in zufälliger Reihenfolge abgespielt.
EQUALIZER
In jedem modus können Sie die Taste [EQ] (20) gedrückt halten und dann kurz drücken,
um zwischen FLAT / POP / CLASSIC / ROCK / JAZZ zu wählen.

MINUTEUR DE MISE EN VEILLE
Le minuteur de mise en veille éteint automatiquement la radio après un temps réglable.
Quand la radio est allumée:

2. Utilisez les boutons [SKIP -/+] (10/11) pour choisir la minuterie souhaitée;
3. Appuyez sur [TIMER] (22) pour confirmer.

FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA RADIO DAB

Remarque: Dans le cas où il n'y a pas de service DAB, appuyer sur le bouton [SCAN]
(12), pour lancer le balayage.
Remarque: Pour une meilleure réception, réorientez l'antenne (17).
FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA RADIO FM
1. Sélectionnez le mode “FM” en tournant le bouton [MODE] (1);
2. Réglez la fréquence sur la station désirée en utilisant les touches [TUNE -/+] (10/11)
ou maintenez enfoncé le bouton (2 secondes) et il recherchera la prochaine station
disponible.
Remarque: Pour une meilleure réception, réorientez l'antenne (17).
BALAYAGE AUTOMATIQUE:
Appuyez sur le bouton [SCAN] (12) pour lancer le balayage automatique. Pendant le ba-
layage, la radio enregistrera les stations séquentiellement dans la mémoire.
PRÉRÉGLAGE
Il y a 20 préréglages disponibles pour la DAB et 20 préréglages pour la FM.
1. Réglez la fréquence sur la station désirée comme expliqué précédemment;
2. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le bouton [PRESET] (15);
2. Choisir le numéro de préréglage avec les boutons [SKIP -/+] (10/11);
3. Appuyer sur le bouton [ENTER] (14) pour confirmer.
RAPPELER UN PRESET

Lorsque la station de radio est en cours de diffusion, appuyer plusieurs fois le bouton

FONCTIONNEMENT DU CD-MP3
1. Sélectionnez le mode “CD” en tournant le bouton [MODE] (1);
2. Appuyez sur le bouton [OPEN/CLOSE] (7) pour ouvrir la [PORTE DU CD] (6) et pla-
cer un disque CD avec l'étiquette vers le haut dans le compartiment CD;
3. Fermer la [PORTE DU CD] (6). Une recherche de focalisation est réalisée et la lectu-
re démarre automatiquement à partir de la première piste.
PROGRAMMATION
Il est possible de programmer jusqu’à 20 pistes pour la lecture d’un CD ou 99 de fichiers
MP3 dans un ordre quelconque.
