1) On a at workspace, open the awning packaging. If using a knife, take care
not to cut the contents inside.
2) Remove the awning from the package.
3) Unzip the awning cover and nd the brackets and pouch of hardware inside.
Sometimes these items are shifted during shipping and hard to spot right away
so look carefully!

SOME ASSEMBLY REQU’D
1) Remove the plastic end cap from
one end of the mounting extrusion.
2) Insert 2 of the short bracket
mounting bolts into the top channel
and 2 into the bottom channel
(4 bolts total.) Slide one bolt per
channel down to the opposite end of
the awning.
Super Secret Tip: Get the bolts as close as you can to where you want them
now because they’re much harder to slide once the L-brackets are on.
3) Attach the L-brackets using the
included nylock nuts. Do not tighten
yet, you will need to adjust to align
with your roof rack.

4) Lift the awning to your vehicle and adjust the L-brackets to desired mounting
location. You’re going to want a friend for this. Maybe pay that kid from down the
street $5.
5) Once aligned, bring the awning down and tighten the L-brackets to the
extrusion. There’s no picture, just use your imagination.
6) Lift the awning back into place and
use the vehicle mounting hardware
and sandwich plates to sandwich*
your roof rack. Depending on your
vehicle’s rack conguration, different
hardware may be required. Ensure
all bolts are tight and the awning is
thoroughly secured.
*Oh I just got it... That would make a terrible sandwich.

THROWING SHADE
1) Completely unzip the cover and
fold it back out of the way.
2) Undo the velcro cinch straps.
3) Grab the awning and unroll as you
walk backward.
4) Unfold the poles tucked into the
end of the awning. Extend to desired
height and give them a twist to lock in
place.

5) Unfold the poles on the vehicle side and insert into the hole near the outside
hinge. Extend until the awning is pulled tight, then twist to lock.
6) Secure the velro straps aroud the
poles.
STAKE IT DOWN!
Seriously, this thing catches a lot of wind. If it breaks because you didn’t stake it
down, we’ll do what we can to help out but not without a healthy dose of “I told
you so.”
Now pay that kid from down the street another $5 to mow your lawn while you
hang out in the shade of your new ROAM Awning and crack open a cold one.
