CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To clean the filters. Shut down the unit and unplug from the power source. Remove the rear screws
on the back of the unit. Rinse the rear filter and the HEPA filter in warm water as needed. Do not use
detergent or chemicals in your water solution. Simply dust the PCO filter and the aluminum PCO filter -
do not wash or scrub. When replacing filters you must make sure the safety switch is pushed in
towards the front of the unit. (See Section 7 of Operations/Settings and Controls)
To clean a plate, first turn the unit Off and unplug from outlet. Then remove the 4”x4”plates from
back of unit. Pull plates firmly in the center to remove from the slot. With plate firmly supported in
the hand, apply a solution of warm water and ammonia (50/50 solution is suggested) or a strong
grease cutting detergent. Scrub with a stiff brush if necessary. Be careful not to drop the plate or scrub
off the silicon. Clean both the metal screen and the ceramic tile. Rinse plate in hot water and dry
completely before installing. If available, you may use a hair dryer to dry the plate. Reinstall plate,
making sure it is secured and flush with the back of the unit. Plug unit into a grounded electrical
outlet, turn unit on and start enjoying clean fresh air.
To clean needlepoint ionizer, first turn off and unplug from outlet. Remove the fan grill cover.
The needlepoint ionizer will be easy to find in front of the fan by looking for two pieces of wire. Take a
Q-tip or cotton swab dipped in alcohol and clean any dust that may have accumulated on the
needlepoints. This process may be done when plates are being cleaned. While you have the front grill
cover off the unit, you may also clean the fan and grill itself. To clean the fan, simply wipe the blades
with a damp cloth or vacuum. The grill cover may also be cleaned with warm soapy water. Be careful
that the fan grill cover is completely dry before installing.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you suspect a problem with your unit check the following:
Make sure plate is clean (see above). Check plate alignment making sure the ceramic plate is
almost flush with back of unit.
Check PCO filter placement. (See proper installment instructions).
Unit is plugged in properly and master power switch on back of unit is turned on.
Check the fuse to make sure it is installed properly and not burned out. To replace fuse, push
in and turn fuse holder to the left, remove old fuse, replace with spare. Use 1 amp fuse, 1.25
inches long.
Wall outlet is active
It is important that the Air purifier be properly grounded to avoid potential shock.
If the fan is not operating, or if no buzzing sound is detected on the high setting after
cleaning the plate, please contact your local dealer.
CAUTION: Unplug purifier to perform maintenance on your unit, including opening the
back panel of the unit to clean or replace filters, insert ozone plate, or
removing front grill to clean.

fuse
As a second safety feature, your purifier has a fuse. If the display will not power on, you should check the fuse. The
fuse holder located on the back of the purifier, between the power cord socket and the master power switch. Look for
the embossed picture of a fuse.
1. The fuse holder slides out of the unit. Insert the tip of a small flat driver into the divot found on the right-hand edge
of the power cord socket.
2. Pull and slide holder out of the unit.
3. The spare fuse enclosed in the square box. The active fuse is held within the clasp. Remove the active fuse and
place on a white sheet of paper. Replace fuse if it does NOT appear clear.
Step 2
Replacing the Germicidal UV Lamps
At the top and bottom of each green, UV circuit board is a white “arrowhead” fastener.
1. Using a pair of needle-nose pliers, tightly pinch the TOP arrowhead wings to make the shape
resembling a post.
2. Gently pull the back of the circuit board towards you and off of the TOP arrowhead fastener. Repeat
these steps for the BOTTOM arrowhead.
3. Unplug the wire connector from UV board.
4. Plug the wire connector into the new UV board.
5. Line-up the TOP hole with the arrowhead fastener and gently push it through the hole. Repeat step
