5.3 Mounting a Switch Module into the Satellite
If you have ordered the satellite unit R&S OSP-B200S2 together with R&S OSP switch
modules, these modules are mounted and tested in the factory.
To mount a switch module in the satellite unit later on:
1. Disconnect all cables from the satellite unit.
2. For mounting your switch module, select a slot, A (left) and B (right), ideally cov-
ered by a blank panel.
If no blank panel is available, consider removing an existing module, instead.
3. Unscrew the six Torx 8 screws from the blank panel or existing module.
Keep the screws.
4. Remove the blank panel or existing module from the satellite unit.
5. Find the flat-ribbon cable (module bus cable) in the open slot of the satellite unit.
In each slot, one 26-pin flat-ribbon cable is available. Do not cross-over the cables.
