Testing
Items Required
• TD-20X (TD-20 + TDW-20 also acceptable)
• Drum stick
• Monitor speaker or headphones
• Stereo cable
Settings
1. Connect the CY-12C and the TD-20X.
2. Connect the monitor speaker or headphones to the TD-20X.
3. Switch on the power to the TD-20X.
4. Press the [TRIGGER] button, then press the [F2 (BASIC)] button.
5. Press TRIG SELECT [1] and [15] to change the display at the upper right
of the screen to match the selected input.
6. Use the cursor buttons to select Trig Type, and select the Trigger Type
that matches the pad being tested.
* If Trig Type is already set to the desired type, change the setting to a different
type, then reselect the desired type.
Bow Shot
1. Strike the bow, and verify that correct play ranging from light to forceful
is possible.
* The velocity of striking is displayed on the right side of the TRIGGER BASIC
screen.

2. Verify that when the instrument is hit forcefully, the topmost red LED of
the trigger meter on the TD-20X lights up.
Edge Shot
1. Strike the edge, and verify that correct play ranging from light to forceful
is possible.
* The velocity of striking is displayed on the right side of the TRIGGER BASIC
screen.

2. Verify that when the instrument is hit forcefully, the topmost red LED of
the trigger meter on the TD-20X lights up.
3. Strike the edge somewhat forcefully, and verify that no bow sound is
heard and no sound drop-out occurs.
Choke Play
1. Carry out a bow shot, and before the sound ends, perform choking as
shown in the figure, and verify that the sound stops.
