1) INTRODUCTION
1.1 General information
This manual refers to AIR COMBO EVO heat pump water heater and provides instructions for transport,
installation, assembly, control and use of the unit. It also provides information for maintenance work,
the presence of residual risks and instruction to personnel.
1.2 General information and precautions on using the machine.
This manual is designed to provide the user with a general knowledge of the machine and the
maintenance instructions considered necessary for its proper operation.
Please follow the instructions below:
• All operators and personnel involved in the use and maintenance of the unit must read this manual
entirely and with the utmost attention and comply with its contents.
• Store the manual in areas protected from humidity and heat and consider it an integral part of the unit
throughout its life, handing it over to any other user or future owner of the unit.
• Keep this manual together with the wiring diagram in a place accessible to the operator. Make a note
of the unit's identification data so that it can be provided to the service centre in the event of a service
request (see section "Service label 2.2"). Provide a machine booklet to keep track of the maintenance
works carried out on the unit; this will make it easier to keep track of the various operations and
facilitate troubleshooting.
• Do not damage, remove, tear or rewrite the manual or parts of it for any reason. In the event that the
manual is lost or partially damaged and it is therefore no longer possible to read its contents in full,
we recommend that you request a new manual from the manufacturer, stating the serial number of
the machine on the data plate.
Rossato S.p.A. has the right to update production and manuals, without the obligation to update previous
versions, except in special cases.
This manual reflects the state of the art at the time the unit was placed on the market and cannot be
considered inadequate simply because it was subsequently updated to reflect new technology.
To request any updates to the user manual or additions, which will be considered an integral part of the
manual, please send your request to the contact details given in this manual.
Please contact the manufacturer for further information and any proposals for improving the manual.
The manufacturer invites you, in case of transfer of the unit, to indicate the address of the new owner in
order to facilitate the transmission of any additions to the manual to the new sender.

1.3 Responsibility
The unit is guaranteed in accordance with the contractual agreements made at the time of sale.
The manufacturer is exonerated from all liability and obligations, and the form of guarantee provided
for in the sales contract for any accidents to persons or property that may occur due to:
• non-compliance with the instructions in this manual with regard to the operation, use, installation,
maintenance and events unrelated to the normal and correct use of the unit;
• changes made to the unit and safety devices without prior written authorisation from the
manufacturer;
• attempted repairs carried out on one's own account or by unauthorised technicians;
• lack of regular and constant maintenance or use of non-original spare parts, unless otherwise agreed
in writing.
In any case, if the user attributes the accident to a defect in the unit, he must prove that the damage
occurred as a main and direct consequence of that 'defect'.
The manual enables correct installation, use and maintenance of the unit.
Read carefully to save time in the various operations. Follow the directions given in order to avoid
damage to property or persons.
1.4 Symbols and terminology used in the manual

2) PRESENTATION
2.1 Intended use
The use of this unit is recommended within the operating limits given in this manual which refers to
the following models:
• AIR COMBO EVO 200
• AIR COMBO EVO 200S
• AIR COMBO EVO 300
• AIR COMBO EVO 300S
2.2 Serial number label
The serial number label, located on the unit, allows all the machine's characteristics to be traced and
contains the information required by regulations, in particular:
• the type of unit;
• the serial number (12 digits);
• the year of construction;
• the wiring diagram number;
• electrical data;
• the type of refrigerant;
• the refrigerant load;
• manufacturer's contacts.
Tampering with, removal, absence of identification labels or anything else that does not allow
the product to be safely identified, makes any installation and maintenance operation difficult.
Therefore, the identification label must never be removed.
The appliance must be labelled to indicate that it has been decommissioned and emptied of
refrigerant. The label must be dated and signed. Check that labels indicating the content of
flammable refrigerant are attached to the appliance (only to be carried out by certified
personnel).
Make a note of the characteristic data on the label and record them in a table so that they are readily
available in case of need.
