or damaged. Replacewornordamagedbladetopreserve balance.

•Check all nuts, boltsand screwsoften;alwaysbesurethemowerisin asafeoperating
condition.Useonlygenuinereplacement parts.
•Refuel outdoorsonly. Donotsmokewhilefuellingengine.Addfuel beforestarting theengine.
Never remove thecap off thefuel tankoraddpetrol whiletheengineisrunningortheengine
ishot. Ifpetrolisspilled, donotattempttostart theenginebutmove themachineaway from
thearea ofthespilland avoid creating anysourceofignitionuntilpetrolvapourshave
dissipated.
•Donotmowwhilstpeople,especiallychildren orpetsareinthemowingarea.
•Replacewornor faultysilencers(muffler)
•Mowonlyingooddaylight.
•Neverusethemower unless thegrass catcherorguards(rear flap)provided bythe
manufacturerareinposition.
•Starttheenginecarefullywithfeetwellawayfrom theblade.
•Donotoperatetheengineinaconfined spacewhereexhaust fumes(carbon monoxide) can
collect.
•Stoptheenginewheneveryou leave themower, evenforamoment.
•Donotallow children orpeopleunfamiliar withtheseinstructionstousethemower.
•Storethemowerinawell-ventilated roomawayfrom naked flamessuchasmay befound in
hot waterheaters.
•Donotover-speed theengineoraltergovernor settings.Excessive speed isdangerousand
shortensthemowerlife.
•It isadvisabletowearsuitableeyeprotection when operating amower.
•Turnthefuel off attheconclusion of mowingandreducethethrottle settingduring engine
run-out.
•Storefuel inacool placein acontainerspecificallydesigned forthepurpose. Ingeneral,
plasticcontainersareunsuitable.
•Stoptheengine, disconnectthesparkplugwireand inspectthemower if:
a) themowerbeginstovibrateabnormally;or
b)after striking aforeign object.
•Never cut grass whilewalkingbackwards.
•Stoptheenginebeforepushing themoweracross graveldrives,walksorroads.
•Walk,never run.
•Mowacross thefaceofslopes,neverup anddown.Exerciseextremecaution when changing
direction onslopes. Donotmowexcessivelysteepslopes.
•Neverpick upor carryamowerwhen it isoperating.

• Remove thesparkplugleadfrom thesparkplug
• Foldtheupperhandlebarsforwardandtiltthemowerbackon thelower handlebarswiththespark
plugupwardsand securesafelyinposition
• Remove thesinglecentralretainingbolt andlargedomed washerandremovethebladefrom the
bladeboss. Retain thetwolooseshearpinsbetween thebladeandbladeboss.
• Check thecondition ofthebladeandreplacethebladeifbadlydamaged or returntoan
authorized servicedealer forbladesharpeningandbalancing
• Check thecondition ofthetwoshearpinsandreplaceifdamaged

• Remove thesparkleadfrom thesparkplug
• Foldtheupperhandlebarsforwardandtiltthemowerbackon
it’shandlebarswiththesparkplugupwardsandsecuresafely
in position
• Check thecondition of allcomponentsbefore
fittingtotheengineshaftandreplaceanyif
damaged
• Ifthebladeboss hasbeenremovedfrom thecrankshaft make
surethat thekey islocatedinthecrankshaft and replacethe
key ifdamaged
• Insertthetwoshear pinsintothebladeboss
• Fitthebladetothebottom sideofthebladeboss aligningthe
twoshearpinswiththeholesin theblade. Theflutesattheendsofthe
bladeshouldbefacingintothemowerbase.
• Fitthecentrebolt withthelargedomed washer through
thecentreofthebladeandintotheengineshaftand
torqueto57to62Nm. Note: thedomed washer
mustbefitted tothebladewiththeraised dome
pointingawayfrom thebladebottomface
• Lower themower totheground and fitthesparkplugleadtothesparkplug
Cleaning
Topreventthebuildupof grass underthedeck andtomaintaintheappearanceofthemowerit
should becleaned at theendof eachdaysmowing.
• Stop theengineandremovethesparkpluglead when thebladehasstopped
• Remove thegrass catcherandtiltthemowerbackonit’shandlebars
• Hosetheundersideof themowerhousingtoremove allgrass buildup
• Lower themower totheground and fitthesparkplugleadtothesparkplug
• Hosethefabricgrass catcherinsideandouttoremoveallgrass debrisandhanguptodrybefore
storage
