Chapter 2
BASIC OPERATION
Start up
At startup the MicroDVP-HD analyses the files on the CF card and configures the internal electronics
according to the output combinations required.
The behaviour of the device depends of the script files selected.
Supported files
It is important that all videos are encoded with the same settings to avoid any desynchronisation of the
video.
The player accepts the following video formats:
Basic Functionality
Before switching on the device, configure the dipswitches to setup the graphical output.
The MicroDVP-HD video files must be copied on the CF card in a folder named ‘Media’ placed
on the root of the CF card.
If no script files are copied in this ‘Media’ folder, the clips are played looped in alphabetical or-
der.
If the script files are present, a predetermined clip is played looped waiting for an input trigger
to start the playback of another video, refer to the dedicated chapter for more detailed informa-
tion.
The script files can be downloaded from our web site http://rsf-int.com/prodap/content.php?
lan=en&cnt=downloads&sub=logiciels
Formats Codec Extension
MPEG-2 Part-1 MPEG-PS / MPEG-TS .MPG / .TP
MPEG-2 Part-2 MPEG-2 .MPG / .MP2 / .M2V
MPEG-4 Part-2 DivX / XviD .AVI
MPEG-4 Part-10 AVC / H264 .MP4 / .TS
QUICKTIME QUICKTIME .MOV
JPEG JPEG .JPG

Input 2 = START CLIP002xxx.mpg
Input 3 = START CLIP003xxx.mpg
Input 4 = START CLIP004xxx.mpg
Input 5 = START CLIP005xxx.mpg
Input 6 = START CLIP006xxx.mpg
In Play Mode, the inputs can have different assignment, refer to the txt file linked to the script for further
details.
Configuration
Select the graphical output with the 2 first dipswitches available on the rear side of the device.
Select the graphical output resolution with dipswitches 3 & 4.
It is important that all the videos on the CF card are encoded with the same encoding
parameters to avoid video processor reset and screen desynchronisation.
