Klarinettenmundstücke
Achtung: Der Einbau des Mundstück-Tonabnehmers sollte in jedem
Fall in einer Fachwerkstatt für Holzblasinstrumente durchgeführt wer-
den. Wir weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass wir für Schäden, die mit
dem Einbau in Zusammenhang stehen, keine Haftung übernehmen.
Achtung: Auf die Membran des Tonabnehmers darf unter keinen
Umständen Druck ausgeübt werden. Dies könnte zu einer Beschä-
digung oder sogar Zerstörung führen.
Wir empfehlen, das Einbauvideo auf Youtube unter
„Einbauvideo Rumberger WP-1X“ vor der Montage anzusehen!
Einbau in Mundstücke aus Kunststoff oder Kautschuk für Klarinette:
1 Vor dem Anzeichnen der Bohrposition -> Blattschraube mit
Blatt montieren.
2 Bohrposition wie in der Grafik (Abb. 1und Abb. 2) markieren;
damit evtl. entstehende Feuchtigkeit besser ablaufen kann, den
WP-1X / WP-1Xavorzugsweise seitlich links oder rechts mon-
tieren;
auf keinen Fall unten!
3 Bei seitlicher Montage, Mundstück vorsichtig in den Schraub-
stock
spannen und im 90°-Winkel zur Bahn ausrichten.
4 Mit kleinem Bohrer (2 - 3mm) vorbohren.
5 Anschließend mit größerem Bohrer (7,5mm) vorsichtig bohren.
6 Mit M8 x 0,5mm Feingewindebohrer (erhältlich unter:
www.rumberger-soundproducts.de oder im gut sortierten
Werkzeughandel) ein Gewinde in das 7,5mm Loch schneiden.

7 Die Hülse ohne Klebstoff anprobieren.
8 Etwas 2-Komponenten-Kleber (keinen Sekundenkleber!)
auf das vordere Drittel des Gewindes der Hülse auftragen.
9 Hülse in das Gewinde innen bündig eindrehen und Kleber
aushärten lassen (Abb. 3).
10 Gegebenenfalls überstehende Kleberreste entfernen.
11 Tonabnehmer samt Überwurfmutter vorsichtig einsetzen und
die Überwurfmutter ca. eine Umdrehung zuschrauben.
Tonabnehmer durch leichten Druck auf die Anschlussbuchse
eindrücken, damit dieser zentriert wird.
12 Überwurfmutter handfest anziehen.
13 Nach richtigem Einbau sollte nun der Tonabnehmer mit der Hülse
und dem Mundstück innen bündig sein.
Einbau in Mundstücke aus Glas, Holz usw. auf Anfrage möglich.

Saxophonmundstücke
Achtung: Der Einbau des Mundstück-Tonabnehmers sollte in jedem

dem Einbau in Zusammenhang stehen, keine Haftung übernehmen.
Achtung: Auf die Membran des Tonabnehmers darf unter keinen
Umständen Druck ausgeübt werden. Dies könnte zu einer Beschä-
digung oder sogar Zerstörung führen.

Einbau in Mundstücke aus Kunststoff oder Kautschuk für Saxophon:
1Beim Einbau in Saxophonmundstücke sind zusätzliche Punkte
zu beachten:
•Die Einbauposition des Tonabnehmers sollte möglichst
so gewählt werden, dass ein einfaches Anbringen der Blatt-
schraube gewährleistet ist.
•Vor dem Anzeichnen der Bohrposition -> verwendete
Blattschraube mit Blatt montieren.
•
Schieben Sie den S-Bogen so weit wie möglich in das Mundstück,
um den geeigneten Einbaubereich (= nach dem Ende des S-Bogens)
für den Tonabnehmer zu ermitteln (Abb. 4). Der WP-1X muss
so
weit vom S-Bogen entfernt montiert werden, dass eine Kol-
lision ausgeschlossen werden kann .
•Der Tonabnehmer darf nach dem Einbau auf keinen
Fall
innen vom S-Bogen abgedeckt werden. In manchen Fällen
kann es sinnvoll sein, eine andere z.B. schmälere Blattschraube zu
verwenden oder eine vorhandene Blattschraube zu modifizieren.
•Die tatsächliche Bohrposition kann, bei weit in das Mund stück
ragenden S-Bögen, von der Position in
der Grafik abweichen
(in vertikaler Richtung).

2 Bohrposition markieren; damit evtl. entstehende Feuchtigkeit
besser ablaufen kann, den WP-1X / WP-1Xavorzugsweise
seitlich links oder rechts montieren; auf keinen Fall unten!
3 Bei seitlicher Montage, Mundstück vorsichtig in den Schraub-
stock spannen und im 90°-Winkel zur Bahn ausrichten.
4 Mit kleinem Bohrer (2 - 3mm) vorbohren.
5 Anschließend mit größerem Bohrer (7,5mm) vorsichtig bohren.
6 Mit M8 x 0,5mm Feingewindebohrer (erhältlich unter:
www.rumberger-soundproducts.de oder im gut sortierten
Werkzeughandel) ein Gewinde in das 7,5mm Loch schneiden.
7 Die Hülse ohne Klebstoff anprobieren.
8 Etwas 2-Komponenten-Kleber (keinen Sekundenkleber!) auf
das vordere Drittel des Gewindes der Hülse auftragen.

Hülse in das Gewinde maximal innen bündig mit dem Mundstück
eindrehen (wir empfehlen sicherheitshalber 1mm zurückgesetzt)
und Kleber aushärten lassen (Abb. 5).
10 Gegebenenfalls überstehende Kleberreste entfernen.

Tonabnehmer samt Überwurfmutter vorsichtig einsetzen und die
Überwurfmutter ca. eine Umdrehung zuschrauben. Tonabnehmer
durch leichten Druck auf die Anschlussbuchse nach innen ein-
drücken, damit
dieser zentriert wird.
12 Überwurfmutter handfest anziehen.

Nach richtigem Einbau sollte nun der Tonabnehmer maximal innen
bündig mit dem Mundstück sein (wir empfehlen sicherheitshalber
1mm zurückgesetzt).
Einbau in Mundstücke aus Glas, Holz, Metall usw. auf Anfrage möglich.

clarinet mouthpieces
Attention: The installation of the mouthpiece pickup should be arran-
ged at any rate by a special repair shop or a specialized store for wood-
wind instruments. We explicitly point out that we are not liable for any
damages which are caused by installing the pickup.
Attention: Under no circumstances should pressure be applied
onto the membrane. This may lead to damages or even destruction
of the pickup!
We recommend to watch the installation video on YouTube at
„Installation video Rumberger WP-1X“ before mounting!
Installation in mouthpieces made of plastic or rubber for clarinet:
1 Before marking the drilling position -> mount the ligature with
reed.
2 Mark the drilling position as you can see in the diagram
(fig.1/fig. 2); in order that arising moisture can run off, install the
pickup on the side of the mouthpiece (left or right),
under no circumstances on the bottom!

By lateral mounting, fit in the mouthpiece carefully into a vice
and
align it at a 90° angle to the reed.
4 Pre-drill with a small drill (2 - 3 mm).
5 Drill carefully with a larger drill (7.5 mm)..6
6 Cut a thread into the 7.5 mm hole with M8 x 0.5 mm fine tap
(available at: www.rumberger-soundproducts.com or in well-as-
sor
ted tool shops).

7 Try on the sleeve without glue.

Apply a bit of 2-component adhesive (no superglue!) to the front
third of the thread of the sleeve.

Screw the sleeve into the inside of the thread and allow the adhe-
sive to harden (right picture).
10 Remove any excess adhesive.

Carefully insert the pickup together with the union nut and tigh-
ten the union nut by approx. one turn. Press the pickup lightly
onto the female connector to center it.
12 Tighten the union nut hand-tight.
13 After correct installation, the pickup should now be flush with
the inside of the sleeve and the mouthpiece.

Installation in mouthpieces made of plastic or rubber for saxophone:

When fitting into saxophone mouthpieces, additional points must
be observed:
•
The mounting position of the pickup should be chosen in such
a way, that the ligature can be easily attached.
•Before marking the drilling position -> mount the ligature
used with the reed.
•
Slide the S-neck at most into the mouthpiece to determine the
possible mounting range (= after the end of the S-neck) for the
pickup (fig. 4). The WP-1X must be mounted so far away from
the S-Bow that a collision can be excluded.
•Do not cover the inside of the pickup with the S-neck after
installation. In some cases it may make sense to use a different,
e.g. narrower ligature or to modify an existing one.
•The actual drilling position may, in some cases, deviate from
the position in the graph (in vertical direction), if the S-neck
protrudes far into the mouthpiece.

it is set back 1mm) and allow the adhesive to harden (Fig. 5).

11 Carefully insert the pickup together with the union nut and tigh
ten the union nut by approx. one turn. Press the pickup lightly
onto the female connector to center it.
12 Tighten the union nut hand-tight.

After correct installation, the pickup should be at maximum flush
with the mouthpiece on the inside (to be on the safe side, we
recommend that it is set back 1mm).
