NOTES
1. This carton contains the following hardware: (1) Backing Plate
with preassembled 5/16-18 x 1.25 bolt, (2) 5/16"-18 hex nuts,
(1) 5/16" sealing washer, (1) plastic retaining washer and (1)
5/16" lock washer.
2. All wire connectors within the fixture must be rated for 150°C
minimum.
3. Strain relief is required for electrical connections at heights of
25' (7.6m) and above. Knot the supply wires from the pole with
the fixture cord inside the pole.
4. This fixture comes with the ballast module packaged separately.
Verify the ballast module matches the fixture provided prior to
installation.
5. Install per NEC or local electrical codes.
6. 5/16" hex nuts must be torqued to 132 in. lbs. (15 N•m).
1. To avoid the possibility of electrical shock, turn off power
supply before installation or servicing.
2. In continuously operating Metal Halide systems (24 hours/day, 7
days/week), turn lamps off once per week for at least 15 minutes.
Failure to comply increases the risk of violent lamp failure.
CAUTIONS
FIGURE 2
FIGURE 3
REMOVAL
1. Locate two latches at front of lens (Figure 1). Lift latches outward,
then rotate 1/4 turn. Gently allow door frame to swing to its fully
open position.
2. Remove door frame from hinge assembly by depressing hinge lever
and removing the frame from the hinge stabilizer bar (Figure 2).
INSTALLATION
1. While holding the hinge stabilizer bar steady, slide the hinge assem-
bly over the hinge stabilizer bar, allowing it to snap into place
(Figure 2). Gently tug on lens to verify the door frame is secure.
2. Move door frame to its closed position, push latches inward at
their 1/4 turn position and rotate 1/4 turn. Move latches into their
recessed position (Figure 1).
DOOR FRAME REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Use dimensions on template shown on reverse side of sheet for
pole drilling if pole is not pre-drilled (Figure 5).
(Note: Template is not to scale.)
2. Remove door frame from fixture and set aside to prevent damage
– See Door Frame Removal section for details.
3. Insert Backing Plate with pre-assembled bolt into the top of pole
and through the lower mounting hole (Figure 3). Install plastic
retaining washer on outside of pole to hold plate in place.
4. Feed cord through center (0.500") hole in pole and through center
hole in plate.
5. Place the fixture’s pre-assembled bolt through the top pre-drilled
hole of pole and through the top hole in plate. Push fixture flush
with pole.
6. Install 5/16" lock washer and nut onto bolt inside pole as shown
(Figure 3). Tighten nut firmly.
7. Install 5/16" sealing washer and nut onto bolt inside housing as
shown (Figure 3). Tighten nut firmly.
8. Torque 5/16" hex nuts to 132 in. lbs. (15 N•m).
9. Make wire connections inside pole and install pole cap.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FIXED ARM MOUNT FLOODLIGHT
The ballast module is normally equipped with a multi-tap ballast and is
factory set to the highest voltage. If another voltage is desired:
BALLAST WITH LEADS
1. Disconnect highest voltage lead and recap with same wire
connector.
2. Strip appropriate lead and connect to incoming hot lead using
supplied 150°C wire connector attached to leads.
SINGLE VOLTAGE TAP
1. Make sure the voltage furnished to the fixture is the same as
specified on the ballast module.
1. Verify the voltage furnished to the fixture matches the voltage the
ballast module is tapped at. Refer to SET BALLAST VOLTAGE
section if the voltage is different.
2. With the door frame open or removed; hook the ballast tray on the
hinge rod located on the left side of the housing.
3. Swing the ballast tray up into the housing and lock in place by
placing the ballast tray pin in the notch at the end of the ballast
tray. Note: For HPS PR optics with hole near ballast, place the
tab on the ballast tray insulation so that it covers the hole in the
reflector. Reference Figure 4. Tighten the ballast tray in position by
turning the ballast tray knob clockwise until secure.
4. Connect male Mate & Lock connector from the ballast module to
the female Mate & Lock connector from the Lamp. Connect female
Mate & Lock connector from the ballast module to the male Mate
& Lock connector from the incoming power. Note: Once connec-
tors are fastened, tuck lead wires up through the ballast tray,
keeping them away from the reflector. Note: If Quartz option is
ordered a third pair of Mate & Lock connectors will be present
and will be labeled “Quartz”.
5. Install lamp and replace door frame.
