been manufactured in the EC under the most stringent manufactu-
ring and quality standards These Operating Instructions contain all
the necessary information relating to the operation and maintenance
of the machine Read these Operating Instructions carefully before
you start using the machine or carry out any maintenance activities
You will find that this machine will more than fulfil your needs You
will get the best results with the least cost if you:
• Handle the machine carefully
• Maintain the machine in accordance with the instructions
contained in this manual
• Maintain the machine using parts and components
supplied or approved by the manufacturer

SAFETY REGULATIONS
You will frequently encounter the following warning and caution
messages throughout the body of this manual:
WARNING: These indications will warn you of dangerous
situations and actions which could result in serious injuries or
even lead to death in some cases.
ATTENTION: These indications will tell you what you must
do to operate the machine safely.
OPERATION
This machine is intended for vacuum suction of domestic dust and
dirt: do not use the machine for any other purpose This machine is
also not suited for suction of liquids or dangerous substances: do
not use the machine for such purposes
If you do not follow the instructions contained in this manual, situa-
tions may arise which may be dangerous or harmful to the machine
or to the person operating the machine Read this manual carefully
so that you will know when such situations can arise Take care to
see that you know where the safety arrangements for the machine
are located Teach the personnel who will be operating the machine
clearly how the machine works Report any damage or shortcoming
in the machine immediately to the supplier If something is missing
from the machine, do not operate it

WARNINGS:
The conductive vacuum cleaner ESD is KEMA-approved
Do not use the machine or carry out any maintenance activities on it:
• unless you are trained or authorised to do so
• unless you have read and thoroughly understood the
operations manual
• if the power cord or the plug are damaged
When you use the machine :
• Do not vacuum in any burning ash, liquids or glass fragments
Before leaving the machine to stand for long periods, or carrying out
maintenance activities on the same:
• Switch off the machine and take the plug out of the plug
socket
WARNING: Mains voltage is dangerous. Electrical shocks
can be fatal. Take the plug out of the plug socket while
carrying out maintenance activities.
WARNING: Do not store the vacuum cleaner out doors, or
leave it standing in the rain, etc.
WARNING: The use of accessories which have not been
approved or supplied by the manufacturer may be dangerous.

INSTALLATION
On delivery, check whether the packing box is damaged Report any
damage immediately to the delivery agent Check whether the power
cord sent is suitable for your voltage requirements
Assemble the machine in the following manner:
• Take the machine out of the box The power cord should
be passed through the power cord pull reliever
(see photo below)
• Insert the hose into the machine
• The tubes are inserted into each other where the hose is
mounted
Check to see whether a dustbag has been inserted For this, read the
instructions under the heading;
"REMOVING AND REPLACING THE DUSTBAG"
Don’t use the machine if no dustbag is inserted a may
damage the machine
OPERATION OF THE MACHINE.
Note: This machine is designed for a mains voltage
of 230 volts.
Powercord / light indicator
This machine is equipped with an on/off switch with a light indicator
The switch should light after it receives mains voltage If this does
not happen, check the power cord, or change the mains power cord

HANGING UP THE POWER CORD:
Roll up the power cord (start from the machine end of the power
cord to prevent it from curling up) and hang it on the hook for the
same
CHECK-UP BEFORE USE
Check to see that a dustbag has been installed If necessary, put in
a new one For this, read the instructions under REMOVING AND
REPLACING THE DUSTBAG
VACUUM CLEANING OF CARPETS
Insert the plug into a plug socket Make sure the light on the on/off
switch lights up
Switch on the on/off switch The suction motor is started Clean the
carpet without pressing down: the vacuum cleaner will work best if
excessive pressure is not applied to the carpet
REMOVING AND REPLACING
THE DUSTBAG:
Change your dustbag when the dustbag buzzer is making a noise
(optional) Open the vacuum cleaner by opening the latching
arrangement Take the hose out of the hose connection
Fold the ends of the dustbag together and take the
dustbag carefully out of the holder
Throw the full dustbag into a trash can
Always put in a new suction bag into the machine
immediately after removing the full bag
Place the new dustbag as far inside the holder as possible
on the inlet opening of the tank inlet Fold down the
upper edge of the bag, so that this does not get caught in
the latching arrangement
Again close the holder and check to see whether the catch
closes properly
Instructions are also printed on each dustbag

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of the machine must only be done by authorised
maintenance personnel
The machine must be inspected each year in accordance with locally
applicable Safety Standards For information regarding the best ser-
vice, please contact your supplier/distributor
WARNING: voltage is dangerous.
Electrical shocks can be fatal. Remove the plug from the plug
socket when you carry out maintenance activities on the
machine.
It is recommended that the outer surface of the machine should be
cleaned once a week with a dust cloth You may also use a damp
cloth with a gentle–action cleanser
WARNING: DO NOT LET THE MACHINE GET WET.
Each week:
Check the dustbag to see if it is full, replace if necessary
Each month:
Check and clean the filter in the inlet opening of the suction motor
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VACUUM CLEANER INCLUDES A
COLLECTOR MOTOR, WHICH RUNS ON CARBON BRUSHES.
BRUSHES ARE LIABLE TO WEAR AND ON AVERAGE NEED TO BE
REPLACED BETWEEN 800 AND 1200 HOURS OF USE.
THIS MACHINE HAS NOT BEEN DEVELOPED FOR LONG
PERIODS OF USE, ONLY FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 – 4 HOURS PER
DAY.
IF THE CARBON BRUSHES ARE REPLACED AND THE MACHINE
IS KEPT MAINTAINED, THEN THE AVERAGE LIFE SPAN OF THE
MOTOR IS 2000 HOURS. AS WITH ALL MACHINES, FILTERS AND
PAPER BAGS NEED TO BE REPLACED AT REGULAR INTERVALS.
OVERHEATING
The temperature of the suction motor is measured constantly If the
temperature becomes too high, the sensor will switch off the suction
motor Check whether the suction system is blocked or the dustbag
maybe full The sensor will be automatically switched on again after
the sensor and the motor have cooled down sufficiently You can now
start to use the machine again
CLEANING AND REPLACING
THE OUTLET FILTER
• Take the filter cartridge out of the vacuum cleaner
(see photo below)
• Remove the filter by opening the cartridge
• Check the filter: do not clean it, but replace it directly
• Put the new filter in the machine and lock the filter (A)
ATTENTION: Do not knock the filter against hard surfaces.
ATTENTION: Do not clean the filter only replace it with a new one.
REPLACING THE MOTOR FILTER.
• Check the date when the filter was first installed
• Remove the filter from the motor if it needs to be
replaced
• Screw the new filter onto the motor write the current date
on the filter date sticker
ATTENTION: Do not use the machine if no filter has been installed.
ATTENTION: Do not clean the filter only replace it with a new one.

STORING THE MACHINE
The machine must be stored in a dry place Be shure to check that
the hose is not pinched or squeezed
WARRANTY
The manufacturer offers a warranty to the original purchaser that the
products manufactured will not maifunction, if the respective pro-
ducts are installed, used and maintained as prescribed in the manu-
als issued by the original manifacturer along with the
machines
In the case of a warranty claim with your machine, please contact the
manufacturer They will be glad to help you and to fulfil your warranty
Your dealer or representatives can provide you with service under
detailed warranty specifications and periodic maintenance contacts
PLACING ORDERS
You can place your orders via telephone, fax or by mail
Orders placed by phone should be confirmed in writing
Follow the instructions below for quick delivery:
• State the model number of the machine
• State the serial number of the machine
• State the component/part number of the part or
component which you require
• If you cannot find the part number, call your supplier or dealer
for information, or send the old part along as a sample
• Determine how many units of the required part you need
• Give clear instructions for the delivery of the items
Claims for loss or damage during transit should be made immedi-
ately to the transportation company which has delivered the items
ordered A consignment is complete if the packing list or order con-
firmation does not contain any sent-on goods
If it is suspected that a part delivered is incorrect or defective, you
are kindly requested to contact your dealer or representive from
whom you have ordered the article
If necessary, such representative will issue an order for return of the
materials and/or replacements
