Installation
SIM and SD Card Removal / Insertion
The card access door is secured by a safety screw and can only be opened
when the screw is
loosened with the
included specialty
screwdriver.
Do not force either card
into the slot upside down
or backwards.
Do not remove either card
until the SafeDrive 20/20
unit is powered off.
1. Unscrew the safety
screw that locks the tamper proof case using the included specialty
screwdriver and remove the cover.

2. Insert a SIM card into the SIM card slot until it clicks in place.
3. Insert an SD card into the SD card slot label-side up, with the notch down,
until it clicks in place.
4. To remove either card, press the card as far as it will go in the slot, then
allow it to “spring” out.
5. Replace the tamper proof cover and screw the safety screw in securely.

Camera Mounting
Before you start, make sure that the vehicle is parked on a level surface and
that the windshield is clean and dry.
1. Attach the mounting bracket onto the camera until it clicks in place.

2. Remove the 3M adhesive tape cover, and mount the camera to the
windshield.
3. Place the camera as high as possible on the driver side of the vehicle.
DO NOT INSTALL THE SAFEDRIVE 20/20 IN A LOCATION WHERE IT CAN
OBSTRUCT THE DRIVERS FIELD OF VISION.

Adjusting the Viewing Angle
1. Shut down the SafeDrive 20/20 completely and unplug power cable.
2. Dismount the SafeDrive 20/20 from the mounting bracket on the
windshield. To dismount the camera, press clips inward and slide camera
o of the bracket. Make sure that the mounting bracket is not attached,
as it locks the camera into position.

3. Use the included screwdriver to loosen the three security screws on the
round side of the camera. Do not remove the screws completely.
4. Adjust the viewing angle by rotating the body of the SafeDrive 20/20 and
fasten the three side screws when nished.
5. Mount the camera back onto the windshield.

6. Re-connect the power cable to the SafeDrive20/20 (See Connecting to a
Power Source).
7. The SafeDrive20/20 will turn on automatically.

8. On the main screen enter the Live View mode.
9. Use the ‘Live View’ to direct the road facing camera and the cabin facing
camera to the proper direction. You can use the arrow keys to switch
between the views.
10. Dismount the camera from the windshield and screw in the security
screws all the way. Mount the camera back on the windshield.

Connecting to a Power Source
• The SafeDrive 20/20 may only
be connected to a power
source using the supplied
cables.
• The camera’s cylinder side
is where the input power
connector is located.
• If using the USB cable as the
power source, it must provide
5V DC and at least 2A.
• In order to utilize the
Safedrive 20/20’s full features such as active standby, the camera must
be connected to a constant 12V power source.

Settings Menu
1. Press the camera touchscreen.
2. Enter the PIN number.
The default PIN number 3333
3. The camera is now unlocked and the Settings menu is now accessible.

Calibrating the Sensors
The SafeDrive 20/20 contains an internal accelerometer that detects unsafe
driving events. The accelerometer is not calibrated in advance as the
installation in every vehicle is dierent. Please follow the following steps to
calibrate the accelerometer. Before you start, make sure that the vehicle is
parked on a level surface.
• Turn on the vehicle’s ignition.
• Check that the camera is on.
• Press the touchscreen and enter the security PIN.
• Enter into the Settings menu.
• Select Calibrate.
The calibration process takes about a second.
Note: Recalibration is required in case of transferring the dashcam to another
vehicle.

View Live Video
1. Enter the Live View mode in the main menu.
2. The live video will be displayed on the screen.
3. Use the arrow keys below the screen to switch between the road and
cabin facing cameras.
4. Use the arrow back button to return to the main menu.
