USING THE RADIO
After the unit is switched on the radio will turn on if it was being previously listened to – or
the last played USB/SD signal source has been removed. If necessary, use the MODE button
to select radio function.
SELECTION FROM THE STORED RADIO STATIONS
Select desiredband withbrieftouch ofAPS / button,(e.g.FM1), thenselect thedesired
programme with 1…6 number keys of the remote controller or CH-/FOLDER- and CH+/
FOLDER+ buttons on the front panel.Totally 18 FM radio stations can be memorised/stored.
MANUALTUNING AND FINETUNING
If you know the exact frequency of the programme wanted to be heard, then use of manual
tuning is recommended. Select the one of FM1-FM2-FM3 FM bands on the front panel
with brief touch of APS / button (FM1 is recommended).Touch briey one of the
buttons and the device will search for the nearest radio station. For ne tuning touch
oneofbuttonsbriey,and HANDlabel will appear onthe display. Then touchone of
the tuning buttons briey, repeatedly and you can make ne tuning in 0,1 MHz increments.
In order to store the desired radio station, keep holding for 2 seconds one of buttons from 1
to 6 on the remote controller.
• If no operation is performed for 2 seconds, then AUTO label will appear on the display
and the unit will exit manual tuning (HAND) mode.
AUTOMATIC TUNING AND STORING
Touch APS / button for 2 seconds for automatic searching and storing of radio
stations canbe received atthe place ofuse. Process oftuning and storingcan be followed on
the display. All receivable frequency will be controlled.The better the conditions for recept-
ion, the more stations will be found.
• Take into consideration that unit will skip stations with weaker reception, and the
stations may be stored in a dierent sequence what you have dened.
• Totally 18 FM radio station can be stored on FM1-FM2-FM3 bands. 6 – 6 stations can be
stored in any case.
• If one storage is place is already used, then the content will be deleted, and new station
frequency will be stored.
• If the unit is being used at a distance from the original tuned location – such as when
travelling– thesame stationmighthavetobetuned inagain onadierentfrequency. The
same program is broadcast on dierent frequencies in dierent geographical locations!
PLAYBACK FROM USB/SD STORAGE
If you wish to listen to music from a USB/SD source instead of listening to the radio, simply
connect the externalstorage.The unitwill detect this andstart playback automatically.USB
or SD denomination is visible on the display for a few seconds.
AVAILABLE FUNCTIONS OF MP3/WMA PLAYER:
: play or pause
: touch the buttons briey to reach the previous or next track. (If you are keep
touching them, quick search will start in the song, while the speakers are muted.)
CH-/FOLDER-: stepping and selecting folders (DIR- on the remote controller)
CH+/FOLDER+: stepping and selecting folders (DIR+ on the remote controller)
INTRO: introduction of songs; brief playback from the beginning of all tracks (keep holding
on the remote controller)
REPEAT ONE/ALL: repeating current track or all songs (keep holding on the remote
controller)
RANDOM: random playback (keep holding on the remote controller)
• Recommended le system of memory is: FAT32. Do not use memory unit with NTFS
format!
• If the unit does not emit sound or the USB / SD memory is not recognized, remove
and reinsert it. If this is ineective, try to choose the source with the MODE button. If
necessary, turn o and back on the device!
• If the unit cannot recognise the les or one part of them, copied on the external storage,
then proceed as described in the previous point, or you can insert the USB unit to the
device which is already switched on; at that time the system will read in and update the
entire content of it.
• Remove the storage only, when you switched to source dierent from USB/SD memory or
the device has switched o! Otherwise the data can get injured.
• It is forbidden to remove the connected external storage during playback!
• By inserting the memory unit, playback will start from the rst track. If you have listened
to it previously, and it hasn’t been removed, then the playback will continue from the last
played track, even if the device has been switched o in the meantime.
• USB and SD unit can be inserted only in one way. If it would get stuck, turn it over and try
again, do not force!
• Pay attention to the storage device, extending from the device not to disturb you in safe
driving, and do not shove or break it! It is recommended to use SD card preferably, since it
can be used more safely.
• If you leave the external storage in the vehicle in extreme hot or cold, it can get injured.
• Unique features of the external storage can cause abnormal operation, this is not a
malfunction of the unit!
USING WIRELESS BT FUNCTIONS
The device can be paired with other equipment which is communicating by BT protocol,
within maximum 5 meters operation range. After that, music which is played by mobile
phone, tablet, notebook and other similar device is audible amplied through the car
speakers. In case of incoming call, it is possible to answer call, make the call hands-free
and end call, without touching the phone. Car radio has built-in microphone to be used by
phone calls. Following extra functions are available:
caller ID displaying (depending on phone or telephone service company)/ answering
calls / ending calls / rejecting calls / usage of the car radio built-in microphone/
BT music playback / controlling the music player of the mobile phone
Select BT function on the radio with MODE button. Search for BT devices nearby, including
this one, as shown in the instruction manual of the device to be paired. Connect the two
devices toeach other.Following that, thephone conversationor music played onthe phone
will be audible through the car speakers. Start playing with the music player of the phone
or other device. If you receive a call, you can answer it by brief touching of / answering
call button, or reject it by touching / end call button.
• After successful pairing, ashing BT signal will turn to continuous lighting.
• One radio can be paired with one BT device at the same time. Actual operation range
depends on the other device and environmental conditions.
• Volumeand sound quality of BT connection is aected bythe audio settings of connected
mobile phone.
• Occasionally, you may nd that certain characters appear incorrectly or not at all. This is
mainly aected on the special or accented characters and not the fault of the device.
AUX IN STEREO SOUND INPUT
With the help of a stereo plug with 3,5 mm diameter, you can connect such external device
to the AUX input, located on the front panel, which has earphone/audio output. You can
listen to this portable device through the speakers of the car in high sound quality, if
you select the AUX mode with MODE button. Connectable devices: e.g.: mobile phone,
multimedia player, CD/DVD player, navigation…
• It is important to have proper settings of playback device to achieve high sound quality.
• Purchasing of external adapter may needed to connect such devices which have audio
output dierent from 3,5 mm diameter.
• For further information, check the instruction manual of device to be connected.
CONNECTING EXTERNAL AMPLIFIER
4 x RCA stereo audio output is located on the rear panel of the unit. This allows the
connection of an external amplier or active sub box featuring low level (LINE IN) input.
Thus the volume output and/or sound quality can be upgraded.
REMOTE CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS
In order to use the remote control, please remove the insulating lm extending from the
battery compartment. Ifoperation becomesunstable or therange decreases,please replace
the battery with a new one: CR 2025; 3 V button cell.
• When using the remote control, aim it toward the unit’s display from a maximum
distance of 2 meters!
• In order to replace the battery, turn the remote control facing the buttons down then
pull out the battery tray with the battery. Make sure the positive terminal of the inserted
battery faces upward. Follow the directions on the rear side of the remote control!
