The SD/SDHC memory card has a write protectswitch that preventsimage files
from being deleted orfon'natted.Byslidingthe switchto the bottomof the
SD/SDHC memory card,the data will be protected. By slidingtheswitch to the top
of the SD/SDHC memory card, the data protectionwill be cancelled.
Slide the switch tothe top ofthe SD/SDHC memory cardbeforetakinga picture.

Advanced Shake Reduction(ASR)mode.
This mode will reducethe effect ofcamera shake
andhelp you get awell-exposed image in dim
conditions.

Thingsto watch out forusing the ASR mode
1.The digib_lzoom willnot operate in the ASR mode.
2. If the lightingconditionisbrighter than fluorescentlightingcondition, the ASR
will notactivate.
3. If the lightingconditionisdarker than in fluorescent lightingcondition, camera
shakewarning indicator ( _ ) will display.For best resultsonlytake pictures
in situationswhere the camerashake warning indicator( _")_) isnot
displayed.
4. If thesubject is moving,the capturedimage may be blurred,
5.Avoidmoving the camerawhile the [Captunng!]message is displayedto
achieve a better result.
6.Asthe ASR uses the camera's digitalsignalprocessor, itmay take a little
longer forthe camerato processand save the images,

This mode detectsthe face position ofthe subjectautomaticallyand then sets
the focus andexposure. Select this modefor quickand easyface picture.

You can recordthe movieclip withoutvoice.
1. Pressthe Up button and the ( 1_ )iconwill
display on the LCD monitor.
2. Pressthe shutter buttonand movie clipis
recordedfor as longas the available recording
time withoutvoice.
3.To stop the recording,press the shutter button

• Pausing while recordinga movieclip (Successive Recording)
This cameraallows you to temporarily stop during unwantedscenes, while
recordinga movieclip. Usingthis function, you can recordyour favourite scenes
into a movieclip withouthaving tocreate multiplemovie clips.
• UsingSuccessive Recording
1. Pressthe shutter button andmovieclips are
recordedfor as long asthe available recording
time. Movieclipswill still be recorded ifthe
shutter button is released.
2. Pressthe Pause buttonto pause recording.
Pressthe Pause buttonagain toresume the
recording.
3. Ifyou wish tostop recording, press the shutter
button again.
