Power
• Do not overload walloutlets, extension cords, or adaptors
beyond theirvoltage and capacity. It may cause fire or
electric shock. Refer tothe power specifications section of
the manual and /orthe power supply label on the product
forvoltage and amperage information.
• Power - supply cords should be placed so thatthey are not
likelyto be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or

the appliance.

Installation

If you mountthis TV on awall,follow
theinstructions exactly as set out by the
manufacturer. Ifit is notcorrectly mounted,
the TV may slideorfall and cause serious
injuryto achild oradult and serious damage
tothe TV.
• To orderthe Samsung wall mount kit, contact Samsung
service centerat 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864).
• Sa m sung Electronics is not responsible for any damage to
theproductorinjurytoyourselforothers if you choose to
installthewall mount on your own.
• Samsung is notliableforproduct damage or personal
injury when a non-VESA or non-specified wall mount is
used orwhen the consumer failsto followtheproduct
installation instructions.
• You can installyourwall mount on a solid wall
perpendicularto thefloor. Before attaching thewall
mountto surfaces otherthan plaster board, contactyour
nearest dealerforadditional information. If you install
the TV on aceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in
severe personal injury.
• When installingawall mount kit, we recommend you
fasten all fourVESA screws.
• If you wanttoinstallawall mount kitthatattachestothe
wall using two top screws only, be sure to use a Samsung
wall mount kitthat supportsthis type ofinstallation. (You
may not be able to purchase thistype ofwall mountkit,
depending on the geographical region.)
• Do not mountthe TV at more than a 15 degree tilt.
• Standard dimensions forwall mountkits are shown in the
table on the Quick Setup Guide.
Do notinstallyourwall mountkitwhile your TV
is turned on. This may result in personal injury
from electric shock.
• Do not use screws that are longerthan the standard
dimension or do not comply withthe VESA standard
screw specifications. Screws that are too long may cause
damage tothe inside ofthe TV set.
• For wall mounts that do notcomplywith the VESA
standard screw specifications, the lengthofthe screws
may differ depending on thewall mount specifications.
• Do not fasten the screws toofirmly. This may damage the
product or cause the producttofall, leading to personal
injury. Samsung is notliablefor these kinds of accidents.
• Always have two people mountthe TV onto awall.
- For 82 inch orlarger models, have four people mount
the TV onto awall.
Provid i ng properventilation foryour TV
When you install your TV, maintain a distance ofat least
4 inches (10 cm) between the TV and otherobjects (walls,
cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure properventilation. Failing to
maintain proper ventilation may result in afire ora problem
withthe product caused by an increase in its internal
temperature.
• When you installyour TV with a stand orawall mount, we
strongly recommend you use parts provided by Samsung
Electronics only. Using parts provided by another
manufacturer may cause difficultieswith the product or
result in injury caused by the productfalling.

Lt
C au tion: Pulling, pushing, or climbing
on the TV may cause the TV to fall. In
particular, ensure your children do not
hang on or destabilize the TV. This action
may cause the TV totip over, causing
serious injuriesor death. Follow all
safety precautions provided in the Safety
Flyer included with your TV. For added
stability and safety, you can purchase
and installthe anti-tip device, referring
to "Preventing the TV from falling."
WARNING: Never place atelevision set in an
unstable location. The television set may fall,
causing serious personal injuryor death. Many
injuries, particularlyto children, can be avoided
by taking simple precautions such as:
• Always use cabinets or stands or mounting methods
recommended by Samsung.
• Always use furniturethat can safely supportthetelevision
set.
• Always ensure thetelevision set is not overhanging the
edge ofthe supportingfurniture.
• Always educate children aboutthe dangers ofclimbing
on furnitureto reach the television set or its controls.
• Always route cords and cables connected to your
television so they cannot be tripped over, pulled or
grabbed.
• Never place atelevision set in an unstable location.
• Never place thetelevision set on tallfurniture (for
example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring
both thefurniture and the television set toasuitable
support.
• Never place thetelevision set on cloth orothermaterials
that may be located between the television set and
supporting furniture.
• Never place itemsthatmighttempt children toclimb,
such as toys and remote controls, on thetop ofthe
television orfurniture on which thetelevision is placed.
Ifthe existing television set is going to be retained and
relocated, the same considerations as above should be
applied.
• When you have to relocate orliftthe TV for replacement or
cleaning, be sure notto pulloutthe stand.
Preventin g the TV from fall in g
Wall-anchor

1. Using the appropriate screws, firmly fasten a set of
brackets tothewall. Confirm thatthe screws are firmly
attached tothewall.
- You may need additional material such as wall anchors
depending on the type ofwall.
2. Using the appropriately sized screws, firmly fasten a set of
brackets tothe TV.
- For the screw specifications, refertothe standard
screw part in thetable on the Quick Setup Guide.
3. Connect the brackets fixed tothe TV and the brackets
fixed tothewallwith a durable, heavy-dutystring, and
then tie the string tightly.
-Installthe TV near thewall so that it does notfall
backwards.
- Connect the string so thatthe brackets fixed tothe
wall are atthe same heig ht as orlowerthanthe
brackets fixed tothe TV.

Operation
• This apparatus uses batteries. In your community, there
might be environmental regulationsthat require you to
dispose of these batteries properly. Please contactyour
localauthoritiesfor disposal or recycling information.
• Store the accessories (remote control, batteries, or etc.) in
alocation safely outofthe reach ofchildren.
• Do not drop orstrikethe product. Ifthe product is
damaged, disconnect thepower cord and contacta
Samsung service center.
• Do not dispose of remote control or batteries in afire.
• Do notshort-circuit, disassemble, oroverheatthe
batteries.
• CA U TI ON : There is danger of an explosion if you replace
the batteries used inthe remotewiththewrong type of
battery. Replace onlywith the same or equivalent type.

Caring forthe TV
• To clean this apparatus, unplug the power cord from
thewall outlet and wipe the productwith asoft, dry
cloth. Do not use any chemicals such as wax, benzene,
alcohol, thinners, insecticide, airfresheners, lubricants, or
detergents. These ch emicals can damage the appearance
ofthe TV orer ase theprinting on the product.
• The exterior and screen ofthe TV can get scratched during
clean i ng. Be sure to wipe theexterior and screen carefully
using asoftclothto prevent scratches.
• Do not spray wateror any liquid directlyontothe TV. Any
liquidthat goes intothe product may cause afailure, fire,
orelectric shock.
Internet security
Samsung takes anumberof steps to protectits Internet-
compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized incursions and
hacking. For example, certain sensitive communications
between the TV and the Internet servers are encrypted. In
addition, the TV's operating system has adopted controls to
preventtheinstallation of unauthorized applications.
Although we take steps toprotectyourSmartTVand
personal information, no Internet-connected device or
transmission is completely secure. We therefore encourage
you totake additional steps to safeguard your TV, secure your
Internet connection, and minimize the risk of unauthorized
access. These steps are listed below:
• When Samsung releases software updates to improve
the securityof your TV, you should promptlyinstall these
updates. To automatically receive these updates, turn
on Auto Upd ate in the TV's menu (9 > Menu >®
Se ttings> Sup port>SoftwareUpdate> A ut oU pd ate).
When an update is avai l able, a popup message appears
on the TVsc reen. Accept thesoftware download and
update by selecting Y es when prompted. Take steps
to secure your wireless access point and network. Your
access point'smanual should provide additionaldetails
about how toimplementthefollowing measures:
- Secure your wireless access point's management
settingswith a unique password to prevent
unauthorized changes tosecurityrelated settings.
-Implement standard encryption (e.g. , WPA2
encryption) on your wireless access pointto secure
yourwireless network signal.

- Secure access toyour wireless networkwithahard-to-
guess password.
- Confirm your access point's firewallsetting is enabled
(if so equipped).
- Make sure thatallyourInternet-connected devices are
behind your network'sfirewall.
-Ifyour access pointor modem has a standby mode
button, use it to disconnect your home networkfrom
the Internet when it is not in use.
• Use strong passwords forall your Internet accounts
(Netflix, Facebook, etc.).
• If any unexpected messages appear on your TV screen
requesting permission tolink a device or enable aremote
session, do NOT accept.
• Do notvisit suspicious web sites and do not install any
suspicious programs. We recommend that users install
onlythoseauthorized apps provided by Samsung through
Samsung Smart Hub.
01 Initial Setup
When you turn on yourTVforthefirsttime, it immediately
startsthe Initial Setup. Follow the instructions displayed on
the screen and configurethe TV's basic settingstosuit your
viewing environment.
Using the TV Controller
You can turn on the TV withthe TV Con tro ll er button at
the bottom ofthe TV, and then use theControl menu. The
Control m en u appears when the TV Controllerbutton is
pressed whilethe TV is On.
• The screen may dim if theprotective film on the
SAMSUNG logo or the bottom ofthe TV is not removed.
Please remove the protectivefilm.
