1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1-1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SERVICE ENGINEERS
►Make sure to observe the following instructions to operate the product correctly and safely and prevent possible accidents and
hazards while servicing.
►Two types of safety symbols, Warning and Caution, are used in the safety instructions.
WARNING
Hazards orunsafe practices that may result in severe personal injury or death.
CAUTION
Hazards orunsafe practices that may result in minor personal injury orproperty damage.
►Following the repairby a non-authorised service provider, self-repair or non-professional repair of the product, Samsung is not
liable forany damage to the product, any injury or any other product safety issue caused by any attempt to repairthe product
which does not carefully follow these repair and maintenance instructions. Any damage to the product caused by an attempt to
repair the product by any person other than a Samsung certied service provider will not be covered by the warranty.
WARNING BEFORE SERVICING
• (When servicing electrical parts or harnesses) Make sure to disconnect the powerplug before servicing.
4Failing to do so may result in a risk of electric shock.
• Advise consumers not to connect several appliances to a single poweroutlet at the same time.

• When removing the power cord, make sure to hold the powerplug when pulling the plug from
the outlet.

WARNING WHILE SERVICING
• Check if the power plug and outlet are damaged, attened, cut or otherwise degraded.
4If faulty, replace it immediately.
Failing to do so may result in electric shock or re.
• Completely remove any dust or foreign material from the housing, wiring and connection parts.
4 This will prevent a risk of re due to tracking and shorts in advance.
• When connecting wires, make sure to connect them using the relevant connectors and check that they are properly connected.
4 Do not use tape instead of the connectors, it may cause re due to tracking.
• Make sure to discharge the PBA power terminals before starting the service.
4Failing to do so may result in a high voltage electric shock.
• When replacing the heater, make sure to fasten the nut afterensuring that it is inserted into the bracket-heater.
4If not inserted into the bracket-heater, it touches the drum and causes noise and electric leakage.
• Do not repairthe washing machine without safety gloves.
4It can cause injury.
WARNING AFTER SERVICING
• Check the wiring.
4Ensure that the wiring can not be damaged by any sharp edges ormoving parts.
• Check for any water leakage.
4Perform a test run forthe washing machine using the standard course and check whether there is any waterleakage
through the oor section or the pipes.
• Advise consumers not to repair or service any part of the washing machine themselves.
4This may result in personal injury and shorten the product lifetime.

• Do not sprinkle wateronto the washing machine directlywhen cleaning it.

• Do not place any containers with water or any otherliquid on the washing machine

CAUTION WHILE SERVICING
• When wiring a harness, make sure to seal it completely so no liquid can enter.
4 Take care when disconnecting connectors, do not use excessive force as this may damage
the connector.
• Check if there is any residue that shows that liquid entered the electric parts or harnesses.
4If any liquid has entered into a part, replace it or completely remove any remaining moisture from it.
• If you need to place the washing machine on its back for servicing purposes, place a support(s) on the oor and lay it down
carefully so its side is on the oor.
4Do not lay it down on its front. This may result in the inside tub damaging parts.
• At least two people should work when working with heavy products

CAUTION AFTER SERVICING
• Ensure that all components are reassembled correctly and are safe before connecting the appliance to the mains supplies.
4Ensure all electrical safety tests are carried out, before and afteranywork is carried out on the appliance.
• To comply with the requirements of European standard.
BS EN-50678 20:20 published 12th March 2020 Engineer Responsibilities.
This procedure is compulsory and must be completed on every service visit orrepair to ensure safety of the appliance, the
service engineer, customer and comply with European standard BS EN-50678 20:20
EN EN50678:2020, General procedure for verifying the effectiveness of the protective measures of electrical equipment after
repair.
4Test 1 : Visual Inspection

4Test 3 : Earth Continuity
(Measurement of the protective bonding resistance)
Reading should not exceed 0.3Ω (ohm).
4Test 4: Insulation Resistance
This test must be carried out using a suitable test meter with a 500v MΩ setting.
The resistance reading should not be less than 10MΩ
4Test 5: Earth Leakage test (Measurement of protective conductor current)
The leakage current reading should be less than 3.5mA
4Test 6 : Touch Current test
The touch current reading should be less than 0.5 mA
4Test 7: Function Test
Test meter required specications
Socket tester,

The test current within the measuring range between
0.2 Ω and 1.99 Ω shall not be below 200 mA. -
Measuring of
protective bonding
(Earth continuity)
Measuring range between 0.2 Ω and 1.99 Ω test current
shall not be below200 mA.
Using test equipment according to EN 61557-4 or EN
61557-16 will full this requirement.
Insulation
resistance
The value of the test voltage of the test equipment shall
not be below 500 V DC for a test current of 1 mA.
Using test equipment according to EN 61557-2 or EN
61557-16 will full this requirement.
Earth leakage
resistance
Formeasuring protective earth leakage current the
measurement range shall include the values 0.25 mA
up to 19 mA.
Measuring device shall be in accordancewith 670
EN 61010-1:2010, Annex A or or EN 62353:2014, C.4.
• Check whether the washing machine is level in relationship with the oor. Check whether it is
installed rmly on the oor.

• For best performance, use liquid detergent.
Towels • For bath towels, washcloths, and mats.
Bedding • For bed spreads, bed sheets, bedding covers, etc.
• For best results, wash only1 type of bedding.
Shirts • Forshirts,blousesthataremadeofcotton,syntheticber.
Hygiene Steam
• Cotton and linen fabric which have been in direct contact with the skin, such as underwear.
• For optimum hygiene results select a temperature of 60 °C or above.
• Steam cycles feature allergy care and bacteria elimination (sterilize).
Wool
• Specicformachine-washablewool.
• TheWoolcyclefeaturesnepulsatingandsoakingtoprotectthewoolbresfrom
shrinkage/distortion.
• A neutral detergent is recommended.
Outdoor • For outdoor clothes, skiwear, and sportswearthat are made of functional materials such
asspandex,stretch,andmicro-bre.
Activewear
• For exercise wearsuch as sports jerseys, training pants, shirts/tops and other
performance clothing. This cycle provides effective soil removal with controlled drum
rotation for special fabric care.
Colours • Featuring additional rinses and reduced spinning to ensure that the laundry is washed
gently and rinsed thoroughly.
Jeans • Featuring a higherwater level in the main wash and an extra rinse cycle to ensure that no
powder detergent remains.

3-2. STANDARD DISASSEMBLY DRAWINGS

1. Remove 2 screws holding the CoverTop at the
back of the unit using (+) screw driver.
BACK FRONT
2. Remove the Cover Top by lifting it up after
pulling it back about 15mm.
Assy Drawer
1. Open the Drawer by hand
2. While holding down the release leverinside the
drawer (red box), slide open the drawer.
3. Pull up the Cap Rinse to remove it.

can be assembled.
2. Make sure to t the rail when reassembling the
Assy drawer.

- Before you start, disassemble Assy CoverTop, Assy
Drawer.
1. Remove 2 screws holding the drawer and panel
using (+) screw driver.
2. Remove the screws at the top of the ASSY-
PANEL CONTROL using (+) screw driver. (3ea)
3. Grab the panel and slightly push the housing
drawer to remove the hook and pull the panel
upwards to disassemble with body
Be careful not to break the hook.
4. Remove thrfourscrews holding the pcb and
release the hooks on both sides to remove the
for repair
5. Hold the ASSY-PANEL CONTROL while pulling
it upwards and disassemble the terminal to
remove it. Press the hook while removing the
terminal.
6. Unbutton as shown in the picture.

6. Disassemble the blue part hook rst by hand
and remove red part hooks by (-) screw driver to
remove the PBA for repair / replacement.

hooks using (-) Driver.
Be careful not to break the hook.

1. Assemble the red part hooks and blue part
hook by hand. The blue part hook will show you
the right directionality.
Be careful not to break the hook.
2. The direction of the PBA is shown by blue box.
Button up the below box as shown by hand.

3. Make sure to t the knob shaft while
assembling Knob Encoder by hand.

4. Connect the terminal by hand. Take a look at
the hook and put it in the right place.
Be careful not to break the hook.
Make sure the Wire harness are not getting
stuck in other parts.
5. Assemble PCB to both hooks and (+) assemble
4 screws with screws.
6. Assemble the hook of housing drawer and
aseemble screws at the top of the ASSY-PANEL
CONTROLwith (+) screw driver.
7. Assemble 2 screws holding the drawer and
panel with (+) screw driver.
