Read these instructions before use and keep them safe. If you pass the
appliance on, pass on the instructions too. Remove all packaging, but keep
it until you are satisfied.
SOLE THERAPY
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before connecting the appliance check that the voltage indicated on the type plate
corresponds to the mains voltage in your country.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Please read the following carefully before use.
1. Always unplug the appliance immediately after use.
2. Do not use while in the bath.
3. Do not use with wet hands.
4. Do not allow the appliance to be placed or dropped into water or any other liquid.
5. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water.
Turn off the power supply to the appliance and then unplug from the wall socket.
6. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
7. Always allow the appliance to cool down before packing away.
8. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on or near
children or invalids.
9. The appliance should be used for its intended purpose only.
10. Never use attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer.
11. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
12. Check the cord regularly for wear or damage, particularly where the cord enters
the appliance and the plug.
13. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
Properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
Call the Consumer Service Centre for examination and repair.
14. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance, straighten after use.
15. Hair lacquers and fixing sprays contain flammable materials.
Do not spray while using the hair curler.
16. Do not direct the hair curler towards the eyes or others areas sensitive to heat such
as the face and neck.
17. Take special care when using the hair curler near children or anyone who is
sensitive to heat.
18. Switch the hair curler off before putting it down, even if it’s just for “a moment”.
19. Keep the ceramic curl chamber free of dust or fluff
20. Keep all packaging and plastic bags out of the reach of children as these pose the
risk as a choking hazard.
21. The installation of a residual current operated protective device with a nominal trip
current of 30mA offers additional protection. Contact your electrician.

Curls Très Secret
The Hair Curler will create many different curl effects in your hair.
Always ensure that the sections of hair you want to curl are no bigger
than 3cm wide.
The type of curl will depend on the temperature setting selected.
TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
There are 10 temperature settings to select from:
140°C
150°C
160°C
170 - 230°C
RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
170°C - for delicate, fine or coloured hair
190°C - for normal textured hair
210°C –for thick or wavy hair
TIMER SETTINGS
There are 11 timer settings to select from:
5 –15 seconds
ROTATION MODES
There are 3 rotation modes to select from:
“A” – AUTO
“L” – LEFT rotation
“R” – RIGHT rotation

USER INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend you always start with the lowest temperature setting and increase the
level of heat as required.
Ensure hair is dry and combed through.
Plug the curler into a compatible mains socket.
Slide the switch to your desired rotation mode (A, L or R).
Press the “C” button to set the temperature. The selected temperature will
flash in the LCD display. The curler is ready to use once the preset temperature
has stopped flashing.
Press the “S” button to select a time setting.
Separate a section of hair that is no bigger than 3cm
Please note the curler must be positioned so that the opening of the
Curling chamber is facing upwards
Position the curler where you want the curl to start. The hair section must
be held straight, and placed neatly through the centre of the curler.
Ensure the hair section is put into the Hair Holder.
Press the “()” button, hair will automatically be drawn into the chamber.
Hold the curler until you hear four quick beeps.
Gently pull the curler away from the head, to release the hair and reveal the curl.
To allow the curl to set, do not comb or brush the hair until it cools.
For styling and better results use hairspray.
CAUTION:
If you have placed too much hair through the centre of the curl chamber,
The curler will stop and beep to indicate a problem.
If you pull curler away from head before you hear the beeps, the curl will
straighten out.
Do not place the curl chamber too near the scalp.
Do not place hair curler in water or any other liquid.
Do not wrap the power cord around the hair curler, instead coil the power cord
loosely by the side of the appliance to avoid any damage to the power cord.
Ensure to unplug the appliance after use.
Do not tug at the appliance plug.

AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
This appliance has an automatic switch off function for added safety.
If the appliance is switched on for longer than 60 minutes continuously, it will
automatically switch off. If you wish to continue using the appliance after this time,
simply slide the switch to the position and then slide to the relevant setting to turn the
power on.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
The appliance may require cleaning due to build-up of residue from hair products.
Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool
Wipe the body of the appliance off with a soft damp cloth.
If necessary use a little washing-up liquid.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents
Ensure the appliance has dried thoroughly before reusing.
TO CLEAN THE CHAMBER
Insert the easy-twist chamber cleaner tool into the curl chamber and rotate by twisting
the handle to clean the inside.
After Sales Service
The appliance is not user-serviceable. If it is not working properly check:
1. You have followed the instructions properly.
2. The outlet supply is switched on.
3. The main supply fuse/circuit breaker has not blown/tripped.
If the appliance still does not work, contact the Service Centre.
Guarantee
Any defect affecting the functionality of the appliance which becomes apparent
within one (1) year of its purchase, will be corrected by free repair or
replacement, provided that the appliance has been used and maintained in
accordance with the instructions, and has not been altered/modified, abused or
misused in anyway, and is accompanied with a Proof of Purchase to validate the
age of the appliance.
