INSTRUCTIONS
FHI HEAT PLATFORM STYLING IRON
Move the ON/OFF switch on the FHI Heat Platform Styling Iron to the ON position. The red LED above the ON/OFF switch will light
up, indicating that the Styling Iron is turned ON. A blinking red light means that the Styling Iron has not yet reached your desired
temperature. A steady red light means that the styling iron has reached your desired temperature and is ready for use.
Use the temperature dial (located next to the ON/OFF switch) to start at the lowest temperature setting and increase only as needed.
It is highly recommended not to use the higher temperature settings unless you have healthy, coarse hair.
If your hair is fine or chemically treated, you should only use the lower temperature settings. Your FHI Heat Platform Styling Iron is
optimized for use on damp hair.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Shampoo, condition, and towel dry the hair until it is damp.
2. Take a small section of hair and run a comb through it to separate the hair strands.
3. Place the combed section of hair between the ceramic plates starting as close to the scalp as possible.
4. Close the Styling Iron lightly – you do not need to close the Styling Iron tightly.

5. Repeat this process throughout the rest of the head of hair.
6. Pull the Styling Iron away from the scalp and let the hair glide through the plates. You should not feel the iron gripping or
pulling on your hair.
7. In addition to the straightening your hair, your FHI Heat Platform Styling Iron can be used to create many different styles,
including flips, twists and curls.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The plates may be cleaned with a soft cloth, rubbing gently with alcohol or glass cleaner: Always make sure your FHI Heat Platform
Styling Iron is turned OFF, unplugged and cool before cleaning.
Never use any abrasive materials that may scratch the plates. Regular cleaning will maintain your styling iron’s optimum
performance level. With regular use, the handles may become loose. If this occurs, carefully remove the round plastic hinge
cover (with the FHI Heat logo on it) and tighten the nut underneath it. Be sure to replace the hinge cover when you are finished.

SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. A means for grounding is not
provided in a double-insulated appliance, nor should one be added. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care
and knowledge of the system and should only be performed by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated
appliance must be identical to the original parts.

How Long Does The Warranty Last? Two (2) years from the date of purchase. Limitations: (A) THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED

What Will FHI Brands Do? FHI Brands will replace your appliance at no charge other than a $35.00 return shipping and handling
fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the remainder of the original two (2) year warranty period. If the tool sent in is no
longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable tool.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused by
negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety, operation, or maintenance instructions; appliances purchased
over the Internet or through any Internet auction site or from any other outlet that is not a professional salon; or alteration or removal
of the serial number or other identifying marks on the appliance or the packaging. Further, this warranty does not cover normal
wear and tear.

How to Get Your Appliance Replaced?
Save your original receipt.
(A) Return the appliance with the original receipt to the professional salon from which it was purchased where the appliance may
be exchanged at no charge, depending on the retailer’s exchange policy (terms and conditions may vary depending on store’s
exchange policy);
(B) WITHIN the Warranty Period: Please (1) contact FHI Brands at 877.344.4328 to obtain a Return Authorization Number and
return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with a shipping, handling and replacement fee of $35.00 (“SHR Fee”)
(C) OUTSIDE the Warranty Period: FHI Brands MAY, at its sole and absolute discretion, cover your defect on a case-by-case basis.
Please call FHI Brands at 877.344.4328 for determination. IF FHI Brands, in its discretion, agrees to accept the return, then: (1) you
must obtain a Return Authorization Number and return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with the applicable SHR Fee.
The SHR Fee must be paid in the form of money order or check drawn on a US bank and made payable to “FHI Brands.” (PLEASE
DO NOT SEND CASH). We WILL NOT process any returns without a Return Authorization Number or the SHR Fee.
We strongly recommend tracking your shipment using UPS, Federal Express or Registered Mail and keeping the tracking number
for your records. You are responsible for the shipping charges to send your appliance to FHI Brands. We are not responsible for
products lost or damaged in transit.

How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation of implied
warranties may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,

INSTRUCTIONS
FHI HEAT PLATFORM ET LE FER À COIFFER
Mettez le bouton “MARCHE/ARRÊT” de votre FHI Heat Platform Series fer à coiffer sur << ON >>. La lumière rouge de LED au-
dessus du bouton “MARCHE/ARRÊT” s’allumera, indiquant que le fer à coiffer est allumé. Une lumière rouge clignotante signifie
que le fer n’a pas encore atteint votre temperature desirée. Une lumière rouge stable signifie que le fer a atteint votre temperature
desiree et est prêt a l’emploi.
Utilisez la molette de la temperature (située a côte du bouton “MARCHE/ARRÊT”) pour commencer avec la température la plus basse
et augmentez si nécessaire.
On recommande fortement de ne pas utiliser les paramètres de températures plus élevées a moins que vous ayez les cheveur sains
et a texture grossière. Si vous avez les cheveux tres fins ou traités chimiquement, vous devriez seulement utiliser les paramètres de
températures plus basses. Votre FHI Heat Platform fer a coiffer est optimize pour l’usage sur les cheveux humides.
NOTICES D’EMPLOI
1. Lavez, traitez et sechez les cheveux jusqu’ à ce qu’ils soient humides.
2. Prenez une petite section des cheveux et en utilisant un peigne separez les meches de cheveux.

3. Placez la section peignée des cheveux entre les plaques en ceramique en commencant le plus près possible du cuir chevelu.
4. Fermez le fer à coiffer legerement – vous n’avez pas besoin de fermer le fer à coiffer ferement.
5. Faites glisser le fer à coiffer à partir du cuir chevelu et laissez les chaveux glisser entre les plaques. Vous ne devirez pas sentir
le fer s’agripper aux cheveux ou les tirer.
6. Répétez ce processus sur le reste tête des cheveux.
7. En plus de lisser les cheveux, votre FHI Heat Platform et le fer a coiffer peuvent être utilisés pour creer beaucoup de differents
modèles, y compris des styles Brushé, frisé et bouclé.
SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
Les plaques peuvent être nettoyées avec un tissue doux, en frottant doucement avec de l’alcool ou du produit nettoyant à glace.
Assurez-vous que votre FHI Heat, Platform et le fer a coiffer sont éteints, débranchés et refroidis avant de les nettoyer. N’employez
jamais de matériaux abrasifs qui pourraient rayer les plaques. Le nettoyage régulière maintiendra le niveau des performances
optimum de votre fer à coiffer. Avec l’utilisation regulière, charniere les poignées peuvent devenir laches. Si ceci se produit, retirez
soigneusement la couverture en plastique ronde de la charnière (avec le sigle de FHI Heat dessus) et serrez l’ecrou sous celui-ci.
Faites attention de bien remettre la couverture de la charnière quand vous avez fini.

ENTRETIEN DES APPAREILS À DOUBLE ISOLATION
Dans un appareil double-isolé, deux systems d’isolation sont fournis au lieu de la base. On ne foumit pas de moyen pour la base
dans un appareil double-isolé, un ne devrait pas être ajouté. L’entretien d’un appareil double-isolé exige le soin et la connaissance
extrêmes du système et devrait seulement etre exécutépar le personnel de service qualifé. Les pièces de rechange pour un appareil
double-isole doivent être indentiques aux pièces d’orgine.

Choisissez entre:
(A) Retournez l’appareil avec le recu original au salon professional au quell vous l’avez acquis et où l’appareil peut être remplacé
gratuitement selon les règles d’ échange du distributeur (termes et conitions varies selon les regles d’échanges.)
(B) Se trouve dans la peridoe de garantie, veuillez alors: 1) contacter FHI Brands au 877.344.4328 pour obtenir un numero
d’autorisation de renvoi et des instructions de renvoi, et 2) renvoyer le produit défectueux avec une somme de 35 dollars pour
l’expédition, la manipulation et le replacement du produit (dépenses <<EMR>>).
(C) Se trouve en dehors de la période de garantie, alors FHI Brands PEUT, à sa discretion unique et absolue, couvrir la defectuosité
de votre produit cas par cas. Veuillez appelier FHI Brands au 877.334.4328 pour déterminer si cela sera couvert. Si FHI Brands,
à sa discretion, accepte le renvoi du produit, alors (1) vous devez obtenir un numero d’autorisation de revoi et des instructions de
renvoi, et (2) renvoyez le produit défectueux avec les sommes pour dépense EMR.
Cette somme EMR doit être payée au moyen d’un mandate postal ou d’un chèque tirésur une banque US et payable à <<FHI
Brands>>. (VEUILLEZ NE PAS EN ENVOYER D’ARGENT LIQUIDE). Nous NE TRAITERONS AUCUN renvoir effectué sans numéro
d’autorisation de renvoi ou sans paiement EMR.

vous gardez vos reçus originales pour future ulilisation. Vous estes completement responsables pour les frais de poste pour envoyer
vos appareils à FHI Brands. Nous ne sommes pas responsables des produits perdus ou endommages pendant le transit.
Comment est ce que la loi d’Etat s’applique? Cette garantie vous donne des droits légaux spécifiques et vous pouvex aussi avoir
d’autres droits qui varient d’un Etat à un atre.
