Setting the RF Output Channel and Auto Channel Programming
1Press SETUP MENU and the MAIN
menu appear.
2Press v/Vto select the TUNING menu,
then press SELECT/ENTER.
The TUNING menu will appear.
3Press Vto choose the SOURCE
SELECT option, then press b/Bto
select TUNER.
Press b/Brepeatedly to switch among
TUNER, LINE1 and LINE2.

Press v/Vto choose the AUTO CHANNEL
SET option, then press b/Bto set the
channel.
The tuner will automatically cycle
through all available channels
(TV/CATV) in the area and place them
in the tuner’s memory.
After the AUTO CHANNEL SET PRO-
CEEDING is complete, the TUNING
menu will hide and return to the TV
screen automatically.
5Make sure the TUNING BAND is set
appropriately (TV or CATV).
•
TV : If you are using a standard antenna to
receive channels.
CATV : If you are using basic cable to receive
channels.
•Change the setting of TUNING BAND to
check the TV channels.
6Use CH/TRK (v/V) on the remote con-
trol or CHANNEL (V/v) on the front
panel to cycle the DVD+VCR through
the channels in memory.

1. To insert them, push the tab backwards
and lift off the cover of the handset.
2. Put the two batteries into the compartment
making sure the and are correctly

Condensation can form inside the DVD+VCR when it is suddenly moved
from a cold place to a warm or humid environment.In any such circum-
stance do not use this DVD+VCR 1-1/2 to 2 hours allowing complete
elimination of any condensation.
DVD/VCR select button
Select the output source (DVD or VCR) to view
on the TV screen.
To use a VCR, first press VCR.
To use a DVD, first press DVD.
Setting the RF output channel
When the DVD+VCR is turned off, press and hold
CHANNEL (V/v) on the front panel for more then
five seconds to change the RF output channel
(CH03 or CH04).
“RF 03” or “RF 04” appears in the display window.
When using the Audio/Video cable, set your TV to
the VIDEO mode using the TV/VIDEO button on
your TV.

Setting the Clock

Auto Clock Set
The Auto Clock Set feature is set to ON at the facto-
ry. In the ON setting, the DVD+VCR looks for a
channel carrying XDS (Extended Data Services)
information. XDS updates the clock using the
Coordinated Universal Time.
The Auto Clock Feature enables the DVD+VCR to
set up the clock when the DVD+VCR is turned off.
1Press MENU and the MAIN menu will appear.
2Press v/Vto choose the CLOCK menu.
Press SELECT/ENTER and the CLOCK menu
will appear.

Press Vto choose the AUTO CLOCK SET option.
Press b/Bto choose ON.
The Auto Clock Set works for seting up the
clock when the DVD+VCR is turned off.

to choose the DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
item.
Press b/Bto choose AUTO, ON, or OFF.
If you choose AUTO, the VCR sets the clock
using the DST information broadcast in the sig-
nal (channel).
If you choose ON, the VCR sets the clock when
the Daylight Saving Time is started and ended.
5Press
V
to choose the TIME ZONE item.
Press b/Bto choose the correct time zone
(AUTO, EASTERN, CENTRAL, MOUNTAIN,
PACIFIC, ALASKA, or HAWAII).
If “AUTO” is selected as the time zone, the VCR
sets the clock using the first Coordinated
Universal Time information when it finds in a
broadcast signal.
6Press MENU when finished.
7Turn off the DVD+VCR and the auto clock setting
works.

There are cases where the TV station does not send
or sends wrong date and/or time information and the
DVD+VCR sets the incorrect time.
If this happens we recommend that you set the clock
manually.
