Utilizing four high-output 300-wattUHPlampsasits light source,thePLC-XF46N/E
delivers an amazing 12,000 lumens of brightness. This enables it to provide
ultralarge-screen projection at large conferences and major events.
*The industry's highest brightness for transmissive LCD projectors, as of May 12, 2006. (According to a Sanyo survey.)
With its new high-contrast optical system, the PLC-XF46N/E is able to
achieve an outstanding contrast ratio of 1,300:1.
A newly developed progressive integrated circuit provides highly improved
playback of moving images. This enables full compatibility with 2-3 pull-
down and 1080i HDTV signals.
To eliminate ghosting in images, the canceller reduces signal interference
between the drive circuits on the LCD panels and between driven pixels.
This function automatically analyzes the signal components to select the
best sharpness setting. It operates on both RGB and video inputs and de-
livers clearer, sharper images.
Newly developed LCD panels and optical compensators, and an improved
cooling system have extended the life of the optical components and in-
creased overall reliability.
If one lamp is accidentally turned off when used in the high-brightness
mode, the system automatically switches over to the economy mode.
This fail-safe function* prevents a presentation from being interrupted.
* This function also performs in the economy mode (two-lamp mode) switching to a one-lamp mode, but color and bright-
ness correction is not performed. A switchover to the one-lamp mode only occurs if an emergency should arise.
The PLC-XF46N/E's interface slot accommodates a wide range of interface
boards, which allowsthe userto selectthe bestsolution forthe desired application.
This function allows the user to position the image easily (up/down and
left/right) even after the projector is installed. It is especially useful when
aligning images from two stacked units.
This makes it easier to adjust the white balance and gamma curve adjust-
ments to attain faithful color reproduction in almost any projection environ-
ment. The settings can be stored on a PC for later recall.
A wide variety off user-replaceable lenses, from short-
fixed to long zoom types, are optionally available.
