VACUUM CLEANER
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Thank you for your purchase of the Sanyo Vacuum Cleaner.
Please read these instructions carefully before using.
AFEW PRECAUTIONS
1. Operating without the cloth filter and secondary filter in place will
allow dust to enter the motor and could damage the vacuum cleaner.
2. Keep the vacuum cleaner away from stoves and other heat sources.
Heat can deform and discolor the plastic parts of the unit.
3, Keep the vacuum cleaner free of insecticides. Do not wipe with
benzlne, thinner, petrol or other oils which might causediscoloration
or cracking. To clean the body and hose, dampen acloth with amild
detergent and wipe clean.
4. Blockiog the suction inlet or allowing the dust to clog the hose will
decreasethe efficiency of the motor,
5. Never try to vacuum the following objects. They may damage the
unit or cause afire.
*Wet things, mud, soil, and fluids
*Burning cigarettes
●Needles and razor blades
*Inflammable materials such asgasolineand thinner
6. The following kinds of treatment shorten hose life:
*Bending hose at an acute angle when storing
●Pulling the hose with excessive force
*Placing heavy objects on, or stepping on the hose
7. Pull out the plug from the power source after use. Grasp the plug –
not the cord –when pulling out the plug.
Pulling on the cord may lead to shortcircuiting.
8. Long and continuous use causesthe exhaust air and the body of the
vacuum cleaner to become warm. This, however, does not denote
malfunction.
9, When vacuuming places that are very dusty, and also when vacuuming
regularly, empty the cloth filter before it becomescompletely filled.
Frequent emptying lengthens the life of the motor and maintains
strong suction power.
10, Do not insert fingers into the turboclean suction slit while the cleaner
is operating. The turboclean inside revolves at ahigh speed. Do not
insert fingers while motor is on. Be especially careful when children
are around,
11. Do not oil the turboclean bearings. Oil can crack the plastic parts
around the bearings.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK COULD OCCUR IF USED OUTDOORS OR
ON WET SURFACES.
When you have trouble with the unit, inspect it according to the points in
the “Trouble-Shootin~ Guide”. If inspection indicates amalfunction,
refrain from using th{ unit to avoid damage, and see your dealer or the
nearest Sanyo Service Centre.

Items to inspect
sIS the hose inserted into the unit properly?
Check the connection of the hose and

motor,
Since the motor is not damaged, check
the following items.
The motor will begin operating again in
approximately 60 minutes.
.Is the turboclean or the hose clogged with

Remove any foreign substance.
SPARE CARBON BRUSH
The carbon brush isan important part of the motor section of the vacuum
cleaner. Although the time will differ according to usage, the carbon brush
will deteriorate after along period. This deterioration decreases the
