disconnect the unit and go to the
service center.
• Do not heat flammable materials.
• Use an electric switch that is uni-
que to your cooktop.
• Only use the equipment indoors.
• Never wash the stove directly in
water.

Correct usage
- Only use the cooktop for re-
sidential cooking, and for the purposes
described in this manual.
Other uses are not permitted and can be
dangerous. The manufacturer will not be
held liable for damage caused by unau-
thorized use or improper operation of any
kind.
-Persons who lack physical,
sensory or mental abilities, or experience
with the appliance should not use it wi-
thout supervision or instruction by a res-
ponsible person.
-Do not use a steam cleaner to
clean this appliance. The steam may pe-
netrate electrical components and cause
a short-circuit

Technical Safety
-Activate the Child Safety
Lock so that the cooktop cannot be
turned on inadvertently.
-Children should not be left
unattended in an area where the
appliance is in use. Never allow chil-
dren to sit or stand on any part of the
appliance.
Caution: Do not store items of inte-
rest to children in cabinets above the
appliance. Children climbing on the
appliance to reach these items could
be injured.
-The appliance is hot during
use and remains so for some time af-
ter being switched off. Keep children
away from the appliance.
-Ensure that any packing ma-
terial, is disposed of safely and kept
out of the reach of children. Danger of
suffocation!
-Keep all pots and pans out
of the reach of children. Danger of
burning or scalding.
-Install the appliance so that
the power cord does not come into
contact with any portion of the cook-
top which may become hot during
use.
-Do not operate any applian-
ce with a damaged cord or plug, or if
the appliance has been damaged in
any manner. Contact Astor Warehou-
se Technical Service Department.
-Installation, repair and main-
tenance work should be performed
by a Astor Warehouse authorized
service technician. Work by unquali-
fied persons could be dangerous and
may void the warranty
-Before installing the com-
biset, check for externally visible da-
mage. Do not operate a damaged
appliance.
-To guarantee the electrical
safety of this appliance, continuity
must exist between the appliance and
an effective grounding system. It is
imperative that this basic safety requi-
rement be met. If there is any doubt,
have the electrical system of the hou-
se checked by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer will not be held res-
ponsible for damages caused by the
lack, or inadequacy, of an effective
grounding system.
-Before installation, make
sure that the voltage and frequency
listed on the data plate correspond
with the household electrical supply.
This data must correspond to prevent
injury and appliance damage. Consult
a qualified electrician if in doubt.
-Do not use an extension
cord to connect this appliance to
electricity. Extension cords do not
guarantee the required safety of the
appliance.
-Do not use the appliance
until it has been properly installed in
the countertop (if applicable).

-Under no circumstances
open the outer casing of the applian-
ce.
-The cooktop must not be
installed outdoors.
-While the appliance is un-
der warranty repairs should only be
performed by an authorized service
technician. Otherwise the warranty will
be invalid.
-In the event of any damage
to the appliance, it must be turned off
immediately and disconnected from
the main power supply. Contact Astor
Warehouse Technical Service Depart-
ment.
-Do not use the appliance until
it has been repaired. Ensure power is
not supplied to the appliance until re-
pair work is completed.
-Defective components
should be replaced by Schönes
Bauen original spare parts only. Only
with these parts can the manufacturer
guarantee the safety of the appliance.
-Do not cook on a broken
cooktop. Any breakages or cracks in
the ceramic surface of the appliance
are defects and must be treated as
such. If the cooktop should break,
cleaning solutions and spills may pe-
netrate the broken cooktop and crea-
te a risk of electric shock. Do not use
the appliance until it has been repai-
red.
WARNING-Be careful not
to place cutlery or other metal
objects on the cooktop.
When the appliance is switched
on, or when there is residual heat
present, there is the risk of metal
objects heating up quickly.
Beware of burns.
Depending on the material, other
objects left on the cooktop could
also melt or catch fire.
Turn the burner off after use.

tended while in use.

Security
-People with pacemakers or
similar medical devices:
Note that an electromagnetic field is
generated when the cooktop is on.
However, it is unlikely that this would
affect a pacemaker or a similar device.
If in doubt, contact the manufacturer
or your physician.
-Keep magnetized items, cre-
dit cards, discs, etc. away from the
cooktop while in operation. Damage
may occur.
-Do not touch the cooktop
or surrounding areas during or imme-
diately after use. The cooktop may
be hot even though it is dark in color.
Wait for residual heat indicators to di-
sappear.
-Protect your hands with
oven mitts or handles when using the
appliance. Use only dry, heat-resis-
tant handles. Wet handles used on
hot surfaces can cause vapor burns.
Do not allow the handles to touch hot
heating elements. Do not use towels
or other bulky items near the applian-
ce.
-Flammable materials must
not be stored in or near the cooktop.
-Do not store items in the
appliance when not in use. Items
could melt or fire from residual heat or
if the appliance turns on inadvertently.
Always change the cooking zone (s)
After use.
-If there is a drawer
directly below the appliance, make
sure there is enough space between
the
Drawer, its contents and the bottom
of the appliance to ensure sufficient
ventilation.
-The metal elements kept in
a drawer under the cooktop can be
heated when the appliance is used for
a longer period of time. Be careful.
-Never cover the appliance
with a rag. It can result in a fire.
-Be aware of loose or han-
ging garments when operating the
appliance, a fire hazard may occur.
-Never heat an empty pan
-Be careful not to drop an-
ything on the ceramic surface of the
cooktop.

Pre-use preparations:
1. Place the package on a flat, dry, ventilated surface
2. Use Scissors to cut the pack tape
3. Remove all the tape from the packing
4. Carefully remove the cooktop and remove foam
5. Avoid blocking the cooktop fans
6. Connect your cooktop to the outlet
7. Read the instruction manual and save it for future
queries or warranty validation

MODEL: CHAMPAGNE
1. As soon as the unit is inserted into the power outlet, it will emit a
“beep” sound, then the On / Off button will light, indicating that the
unit is on and ready for use.
2. Place a pot or pan in the center of the heating zone.
3. In the function option select the desired function:
If no objects in the heating zone appear in the control panel,
the legend E0
There the temperature will appear and with the use of the
plus / minus buttons you can adjust the temperature as desired
4. Schedule the time you want your induction cooktop to be on.
The time is indicated in a range between 0 and 180 minutes.
5. Press the lock button for 1 second to lock the control panel. To
unlock, press the lock button again for 3 seconds.
6. To turn the induction cooktop off, press the On / Off button.
7. Before cleaning, wait until your induction cooktop has
cooled down.

COMPATIBILITY OF POTS AND PANS
WITH MAGNETIC INDUCTION
Place the magnet on the bottom of your pot, if it
magnetically attaches, your pot or pan is compatible with
your magnetic induction cooker.
To check that your pots are compatible with your new Schönes
Bauen magnetic induction cooker. With this magnet you can ve-
rify that the bottom of the pot or pan is immantable, that is, it has
magnetic properties compatible with your stove.
There are many alternatives in the induction-compatible pots
and pans market. When you buy a new pan, identify the fo-
llowing symbol, which means it is compatible with magnetic
induction.

Most stainless steel batteries are compatible, as well as
cast iron, many brands of non-stick pans can get on the
market with excellent quality and good prices.
The knowledge of all the information in the manual is of
high importance since this way we make sure that the use
of the device will be correct.

Cleaning and maintenance
Turn the unit off and unplug before cleaning.
Caution: Wait a few minutes until the unit has completely
cooled down
Use a sponge, moisten with hot water and wipe dry (You can
use some kind of mild detergent)
In case there are circles or drops of tartar and apply white
vinegar to the soiled area and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Clean the ventilation window with a vacuum cleaner or a co-
tton swab.
Do not use chemicals such as tiner, cleaning powders, soda
etc. To clean your cooktop.

Error Codes
If your cooktop has an error code on the display, here’s a list of
what the situation may be:
E0 - Check that the pot or pan is correctly positioned
E1 - Check if the temperature is too high / Check if the unit’s ven-
tilation windows are blocked or if the fan is operating properly
(contact the supplier)
E2 - Temperature sensor failure (Contact supplier)
E3 - Check whether the voltage is too low or too high (Normal
voltage)
