1.1 Allgemeine Hinweise
Diese Bedienungsanleitung enthält wichtige
Informationen zum Umgang mit dem Greifsystem. Bitte
lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch und
bewahren Sie diese für spätere Zwecke auf!
Die Bedienungsanleitung ist auf den Lieferumfang der
Fa. Schmalz abgestimmt. Kundenseitige Änderungen
des Greifsystems wurden dabei nicht berücksichtigt!
Der Anschluss und die Inbetriebnahme des Greifsystems
darf erst erfolgen, nachdem die Bedienungsanleitung
gelesen und verstanden wurde!
Der Betrieb in explosionsgefährdeter Umgebung ist nicht
zulässig. Brand- und Explosionsgefahr!
Betrieb des Gerätes ausschließlich mit den für die
Komponenten jeweils angegebenen
Betriebsspannungen!
Die Installation darf nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal
durchgeführt werden!
Allgemeine Sicherheitsvorschriften, EN-Normen und
VDE-Richtlinien müssen beachtet und eingehalten
werden!
Betrieb des Systems ausschließlich durch geschultes
Personal!

General notes
These operating instructions contain important
information on using the gripping system. Please read
the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for
later reference!
The operating instructions are tailored to the scope of
delivery of the company Schmalz. Modifications to the
gripping system requested by the customer were not
taken into consideration!
The connection and the commissioning of the gripping
system may only occur once the operating instructions
have been read and understood!
The device may not be operated in environments where
there is a risk of explosion. Risk of fire and explosion!
The device must only be operated using the specified
operating voltage!
The installation may only be carried out by qualified
specialist personnel!
General safety instructions, European standards and
VDE guidelines must be taken into account and
observed!
The system may only be operated by trained personnel!

Durch Druckluft / Vakuum können geschlossene Gefäße
explodieren / implodieren!
Der Vakuumerzeuger erzeugt Lärm –evtl. Gehörschutz
tragen!
Werden entgegen der bestimmungsgemäßen
Verwendung gefährlicher Staub, Ölnebel, Dämpfe,
Aerosole usw. abgesaugt, gelangen diese in die Abluft
was zu Vergiftungen führen kann. Geeignete und
zulässige Vakuumfilter verwenden!
Nur die vorgesehenen Anschlussmöglichkeiten,
Befestigungsbohrungen und Befestigungsmittel
verwenden!
Personen und Tiere befördern mit der Last oder dem
Greifer ist verboten!
Die Bauteile sind den Verpackungen sorgfältig zu
entnehmen!
Die Bauteile sind generell vor Beschädigungen jeglicher
Art zu schützen!
Bei Installation und Wartung: Bauteil / Gerät spannungs-
und druckfrei schalten und gegen unbefugtes
Wiedereinschalten sichern!
Es dürfen keine Veränderungen an den Bauteilen
vorgenommen werden!
Sauberkeit im Umfeld und am Einsatzort!
Nur die vorgesehenen Anschlussmöglichkeiten sind zu
benutzen!
Der Greifer wird in Verbindung mit einem automatisierten
Handlingsystem (Portal / Roboter) eingesetzt. Deshalb
gelten außerdem die Sicherheitsvorschriften des
entsprechenden Systems!
Nichtbeachtung dieser vorgenannten Verhaltensweisen
kann zu Funktionsstörungen, Schäden und Verletzungen
–auch Lebensgefahr- führen!
Die Bauteile sind bei Außerbetriebstellung des Gerätes
umweltgerecht zu entsorgen!

1.2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung:
Die Saugerspinne ist zum Greifen von Keramikplatten
vorgesehen. Die Definition der Werkstücke erfolgt über
die Auftragsbestätigung. Es dürfen keine anderen
Gegenstände angesaugt werden.
Die Saugerspinne muss an einen Roboter angebunden
und mit den entsprechenden Schutzeinrichtungen
betrieben werden. Der Roboter muss von befähigtem
und eingewiesenem Fachpersonal betrieben werden.
Compressed air / vacuum can cause closed containers
to explode / implode!
The vacuum generator also generates noise - you should
possibly wear ear protectors!
If the ejector is used, in contravention of its intended use,
to draw in dangerous dust, oil fog, vapours, aerosols,
etc., then these will be blown out of the exhaust and may
cause injuries. Always use suitable and approved
vacuum filters!
Use only the connection facilities, mounting holes and
mounting components provided for this purpose!
The transport of persons or animals with the load or with
the gripper is forbidden!
Remove the components carefully from their packing
materials!
Handle the components carefully to avoid damaging
them!
For installation and maintenance, switch off the electrical
and compressed-air supplies to the component or
equipment and ensure that they cannot be switched on
inadvertently!
The components may not be modified in any manner!
Keep the components and the work area clean!
Only the connection facilities provided may be used!
The gripper is used together with an automated handling
system (portal or robot). For this reason, the safety notes
for the handling system must also be observed!
Non-compliance with the above can result in incorrect
function, damage to equipment and (possibly fatal)
injuries to persons!
Any components removed from the equipment must be
disposed of in accordance with the local environmental
regulations!
1.2 Intended use:
The vacuum spider is intended for gripping deramic
plates. The workpieces are defined in the order
confirmation. It is not allowed to handle other parts with
the system.
The vacuum spider is attached to a robot and is operated
with the appropriate safety equipment. The robot may
only be operated by trained and qualified specialist
personnel.

3 Beschreibung / Description
Der Vakuumerzeuger wird an die Vakuumanschlüsse [B]
angeschlossen.
The vacuum blower is connected to the vacuum connection
[B].
Über die Ventile [C] werden die Saugkreise SK 1-4
angesteuert.
Over the valves [C] the suction circuits SK1-4 are controlled.
Die Saugkreise SK1-4 können einzeln über die Ventile [C]
angesteuert werden.
The individual suction circuits SK1-4 can be controlled via
the valves [C]..
Mit den Vakuumschalter, kann der Vakuumwert abgefragt
werden.
With the vacuum switch the vacuum level can be read.

gemäß unseren Allgemeinen Verkaufs- und
Lieferbedingungen. Das gleiche gilt für Ersatzteile, sofern es
sich um von uns gelieferte Originalteile handelt. Für
Schäden, die durch die Verwendung von anderen als
Originalersatzteilen oder Originalzubehör entstehen, ist
jegliche Haftung unsererseits ausgeschlossen.
Ausgenommen von der Gewährleistung sind alle
Verschleißteile.
