Notices
!Remember to keep this booklet so you can refer to it
at any time. In case of sale, transfer or should you
move, remember to keep it together with the device.
!Read the instructions carefully: there is important
information about installation, use and safety.
!To prevent danger stemming from instability of the
device, you must fasten it in place, following the
assembly instructions strictly.
!Whenever moving or transporting the device, keep it
in a vertical position.
!The beverage centre must not be used by children or
invalids, without supervision by an adult or a tutor, in
order to prevent the cellar from being used improperly.
!Children may use the beverage centre only if

Installation
Positioning and connection
Unpacking
1 Unpack the device immediately and make sure it
has not been damaged during transport. Should it
be damaged, do not connect, and get in touch with
the Dealer.
2 Carefully remove the protections and the
adhesives, open the door and make sure all the
components are present.
3 Take out the power supply cable.
Positioning
1 Position the device in a well ventilated area, not
damp and free (avoid cabinets with closed walls).
2 Keep the device away from heat sources.
3 Make sure the minimum distances between the
device and the walls of the room where it is placed
are kept, in order to ensure perfect ventilation of the
device.
See figure.

Wiring connection
After transport, stand the device vertically, and wait
for at least 3 hours before connecting it to the wiring
system. Before putting the plug into the power
socket, make sure that:
•the socket is grounded and according to legal
regulations;
•the socket is able to hold up to the maximum power
load of the machine, indicated on the Data Sheet
table or on the feature plate to the bottom right (see
Description of the device);
•the power supply voltage falls within the range
indicated on the Data Sheet table or on the feature
plate to the bottom right (see Description of the
device);
•the power socket is compatible with the plug of the
device. Otherwise, replace the socket or the plug; do
not use extension cord or multiple sockets.

Bottle storage compartment
The storage compartment's main function is that of
guaranteeing that your wines are preserved in optimal
conditions.
The temperature has been set in the factory at a
temperature held to be excellent in most cases and
is 15°C=59°F in the upper compartment.
Wine has a complex nature and it derives from a long
and slow process. In order to best express its
attributes, very specific conditions are necessary.
All wines are preserved at the same temperature, but,
depending on their different characteristics, wines are
served and tasted at very different temperatures (see
the Table of ideal wine temperatures).
Therefore, just as for manufacturers' wine cellars, for
your new appliance, the absolute temperature value is
not important for preserving your wine. Rather, the
constant temperature through time is important. Wine
preservation is ideal at any temperature, as long as
that temperature does not vary.
Operation of a cellar with a double or a
single temperature zone
The cellar has been set up so as to work with two
different temperature zones, or else - depending on
the needs of the customer - with a single
temperature zone.
In order to work at double temperature, one must
place the black bottle holder grill on the guides of
the fourth shelf (counting top down), then set the
temperature you want in the upper area. Remember
that the temperature of the lower area, once you
have reached the temperature you want, will be
higher than the one you set (the temperature of the
lower area cannot be set separately).
Note: for a proper preservation of the wine, it is
recommended to set the thermostat temperature to
10°C=50°F, to get a temperature delta of
5°C=41°F ÷ 6°C= 42,8°F *.
For single temperature area operation, you must
remove the black bottle holder grill and replace it
with the accessory grid (of the same kind of the
other wood colour ones, already installed) . We
suggest you keep the unused grid in a dry and cool
place, in order to prevent it from being damaged by
humidityor by other atmospheric agents, as this
would make it unusable in the future.
Using the wine cellar
Manual temperature control
When you plug in your wine cellar, the display shows
the temperature inside the cellar: it has been set to
reach 15°C=59°F and become steady on it. Should
you need to adjust it, follow the instructions below:
1. When you plug in your wine cellar, the display
shows the temperature that has been set
2. Press the button for one second (see the
Control Panel). The temperature will begin to blink.
3. Press the or buttons until you reach the
desired temperature.
4. Wait 5 seconds for the temperature to stop blinking.
5. Wait until the wine cellar reaches its temperature
before you place the wine bottles inside.
The inside light does not go on (or it goes off
temporarily) when the inside temperature goes over
24°C=75,2°F. This allows you to reach the pre-set
temperature more quickly.
Temperature control
Top area:
the temperature of the top area can be seen at any
time on the control display
Bottom area:
to see the temperature of the bottom area, press the
(minus) button for one second. The temperature of
the bottom area will be displayed for three seconds.
This operation may be repeated several times, in
order to check the temperature of the bottom
compartment (shelves 5 and 6).
If there is a single temperature area, you only need
to look at the temperature shown on the control
display, without pressing any button.

need to be served at a temperature that is greater than the temperature inside your wine cellar, we suggest that
you leave it wine out for the time that is necessary before you serve it.

Stocking the wine bottles
Standard 36-bottle stock
The 36-bottle stock (for standard, mixed, and renana
bottles) is recommended for wines that need to be
visible and easily removed.
STANDARD

(100% lying down)
5 shelves
Position each bottle into the slots on the 5 wooden
shelves. 6 bottles can be placed on the bottom of
the wine cellar.
!The wooden shelves have a special blocking system
so that your bottles do not accidentally fall and break.
We suggest you place the Renana bottles onto the lower
shelf and the bottom of the wine cellar because they have
been specially designed to hold larger bottles.
!The wooden shelf can
safely hold up to 22
bottles.
Champagne bottle stock
Champagne bottles are larger than standard bottles.
They must be placed onto the base of the wine
cellar, which can hold up to 5.
If you want to stock
more than 5

the second row
between those on the

Removing the wooden shelves
Follow the instructions below to remove the wooden
shelves:
1. Hold the front part of the shelf with one hand.
2. Slowly remove the shelf by pulling it toward you.
Pull out the shelf by 1/3 of the way if you need to
remove or replace bottles.
3. Remove or replace the bottles you need and push
the shelf back, making sure it locks into place.
4. Make sure the shelf is in place by trying to pull it
out once again. If it moves, push it back in again
until it is securely in place.
To completely remove the shelf, follow step 1 and 2
and remove all bottles that on the shelf. Slowly pull
the shelf toward you until you remove it from its
slots.
!Do not, under any circumstances, remove more
than one shelf at a time.
For a small number of bottles
If you do not need to store enough bottles to fill the
entire wine cellar, we suggest that you divide them
up between the available shelves and that you do
not place them all on top or on the bottom.
Place the bottles in the centre of the shelves to see
them better from the outside.

If you notice that your wine cellar is not working properly, check with the following list before you call your
Service Centre.

The compressor does not work
The compressor never stops
Possible causes/solutions
•The plug is not plugged into the wall-outlet or not
enough to make contact. Or, there could be a
power failure in your home.
•The wall-outlet is not in working order. Plug the wine
cellar into another wall-outlet to check.
•Contact the Service Centre
! Any work that is done to the wine cellar should be performed by your authorized local Service Centre.
! Short term faults, such as power failure, will not compromise the wines. It is only when working faults are left
unsettled for a long time that the wine may suffer.

SCHOLTÈS ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (USA & CANADA ONLY)
WHO IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
This limited one-year warranty ("Warranty") is given only to
the original end-use/retail purchaser (the "First Using
Purchaser") of the accompanying Scholtès product(s) (the
"Scholtès Product").
If you purchased this Scholtès Product from someone other
than an authorized Scholtès reseller/dealer in the United
States or Canada, or if the Scholtès Product was used
(including but not limited to floor models or refurbished
products) prior to your purchase, then you are not the First
Using Purchaser and the Scholtès Product that you
purchased is not covered by this Warranty. This Warranty is
not transferable.
WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
Scholtès will repair or replace any part of the Scholtès
Product which fails due to a defect in materials or
workmanship when used under normal home-use
conditions. Scholtès will also provide, free of charge, all
labor and related services to repair or replace the defective
part. This Warranty applies only to Scholtès Products
purchased and used in the United States or Canada.
Subject to the exclusions below, for Scholtès Products
purchased in, but used outside, the United States or
Canada, this Warranty covers only warranty service within
the United States or Canada (and does not include
shipping outside the United States or Canada).
LENGTH OF THE WARRANTY
This Warranty runs for a period of one (1) year from the
date of the original purchase by the First Using Purchaser.
Please note that a copy of your original purchase receipt
showing the purchase date and the vendor's name and
address are required to obtain service under this Warranty.
For the purposes of determining the applicable warranty
period, please note that any and all replaced or repaired
parts shall assume the identity of the original.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY
(EXCLUSIONS)
This Warranty does not cover:
1. Improper installation, delivery, maintenance and/or
improper operation of the Scholtès Product.
2. Damage caused if the Scholtès Product has not been
used in compliance with the electricity or gas supply
specifications printed on the rating plate.
3. Failure of or damage to the Scholtès Product if it is
altered, abused, misused, or used for other than the
intended purpose, or if it is used commercially.
4. Service trips to your home to provide instructions on the
use of your Scholtès Product.
5. Replacement of house fuses or correction of the
plumbing or electric wiring in your home.
6. Damage caused by neglect, accident, fire, floods or
acts of God.
7. Physical Damage to the appearance of your Scholtès
Product including, without limitation, scratches, rust,
dents, warping, peeling and the like.
8. Damage caused by transportation.
9. Replacement of any consumable or degradable item or
accessory including, but not limited to: plugs, cables,
batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and starters,
covers and filters, or replacement of any removable
parts made of glass or plastic.
10. Damage caused after delivery.
11. Water damage of any kind.
12. An Scholtès Product not accessible to provide required
service.
13. Problems arising from other than defects in materials or
workmanship.
14. Travel time when installed in a recreational vehicle or
marine application. This Warranty is void if the Scholtès
Product is altered, serviced, maintained, dismantled, or
otherwise interfered with by any person who is not
authorized by Scholtès.
15. Non-standard labor when installed in a marine
application.
16. Water leaks of any kind.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS
IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WRITTEN OR
ORAL, WHETHER EXPRESSED BY AFFIRMATION,
PROMISE, DESCRIPTION, DRAWING, MODEL OR SAMPLE.
ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THIS ONE,
WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED
TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW,
SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE SAME DURATION AS THIS
WARRANTY. EXCEPT FOR THAT REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, SCHOLTÈS
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR
SPECIFIC RELIEF.

limitation of incidental or consequential damages and/or
implied warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions
may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific
legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which
vary from State to State or Province to Province.

Please note that a copy of your original purchase receipt

If the Scholtès Product is located in an area where service
by an Authorized Scholtès Service Center is not available,
you may be responsible for a trip charge or you may be
required to bring the Scholtès Product to an Authorized
Scholtès Service Center for service.
The foregoing are your sole (i.e., only) and exclusive
remedies under this Warranty. This Warranty is the only
warranty that Scholtès is giving for this Scholtès Product.
This Warranty replaces all other agreements and
understandings that you may have with Scholtès or its
representatives.

Desembalaje
1 Desembale inmediatamente el aparato y controle
que no haya sufrido daños durante el transporte.
Si está dañado no lo conecte y póngase en
contacto con el Revendedor.
2 Quite con atención las protecciones y los
adhesivos, abra la puerta y compruebe la
integridad de los varios componentes.
3 Extraiga el cable de la alimentación eléctrica.
Colocación
1 Coloque el aparato en un lugar bien ventilado, sin
humedad y libre (evite armarios empotrados
cerrados).
2 Coloque el aparato lejos de fuentes de calor.
3 Respete las distancias mínimas entre el aparato y
el alojamiento en el que se colocará, con el fin de
garantizar una perfecta ventilación del aparato.

Conexión eléctrica
Después del transporte, coloque el aparato
verticalmente y espere por lo menos 3 horas antes
de conectarlo a la instalación eléctrica. Antes de
introducir el enchufe en la toma de la corriente,
asegúrese de que:
•la toma tenga puesta a tierra y sea a norma de ley;
•la toma sea capaz de soportar la carga máxima de

principal es garantizar condiciones óptimas de
conservación de los vinos.
Su temperatura ha sido regulada en fábrica, en
15°C=59°F, que es un valor considerado óptimo
para la mayor parte de los casos.
El vino es un producto complejo que proviene de
una evolución lenta y larga y, por lo tanto, necesita
condiciones específicas para que esta evolución
sea óptima. Todos los vinos se conservan a la
misma temperatura, pero las temperaturas de
funcionamiento y de degustación son diferentes de
acuerdo al vino.
Por lo tanto, al igual que para las cantinas naturales
de los productores, para el frigorífico cantina no es
tan importante el valor absoluto de la temperatura
de conservación, sino más bien, su constancia a
través del tiempo: la conservación del vino es ideal
a cualquier temperatura, siempre que la misma no
sufra variaciones.
Funcionamiento unidad con doble area
de temeratura o con zona única
La unidad está predispuesta con dos zonas de
temperatura o, según las exigencias del cliente, con
una única zona de temperatura.Para el
funcionamiento con la temperatura doble hay que
colocar la rejilla negra para las botellas sobre las
guías del quarto rellano (del primero arriba) luego
hay que plantear la temperatura deseada en las
zonas superioras.
Recordamos que la temperatura de la zona inferior,
cuando llega hasta la temperatura deseada, será
más de la fijada (la temperatura de la zona inferior
non se puede impostar separadamente).
Nota: para una correcta conservación del vino,
aconsejamos impostar la temperatura del termostato
de 10°C=50°F, para obtenir un delta de temperatura
de 5°C=41°F ÷ 6°C= 42,8°F *.
Para el funcionamiento con una única area de
temperatura, hay que quitar la rejlla negra para las
botellas y hay que cambiarla con la rejlla dada (del
mismo tipo de las demás de color madera ya
colocadas.).
Puesta en
funcionamiento y uso
Aconsejamos mantener la rejlla no utilizada en un
lugar seco y fresco para evitar que se pueda dañar
por la humedad o por otros agentes atomsféricos y
que luego no se pueda utilizar.
Regulación manual de la temperatura
Si fuera necesario, es posible modificar la
temperatura de acuerdo a lo siguiente:
1. En el momento de la conexión a la red eléctrica, el
display muestra la temperatura seleccionada para
el interior del compartimento.
2. Presione el botón (ver Panel de control) durante
aproximadamente un segundo; el indicador de la
temperatura comenzará a centellear.
3. Presione los botones o hasta alcanzar la
temperatura deseada.
4. Espere 5 segundos para que el indicador se vuelva
fijo; la temperatura ha sido fijada.
5. Espere que la temperatura alcance el valor
deseado e introduzca las botellas de vino en la
cantina.
La luz interior no se enciende (o bien se apaga
temporalmente) en cuanto la temperatura interna
excede los 24°C=75,2°F. Esta operación permite
acelerar el alcance de la temperatura programada.
Control de la temperatura.
Zona superior:
la temperatura está visualizada siempre en la zona
superior del display de control.
Sona inferior:
para visualizar la temperatura de la zona inferior
será suficiente apretar el botón (menos) por un
segundo y la temperatura de la zona inferior se
visualizará por tres segundos. Esta operación
peuede ser repetida más veces para controlar la
temperatura de la zona inferior (rellanos 5 o 6).
Si la zona es única será suficiente ver la temperatura
indicada en el display de control sin apretar ningún
botón.

Almacenar las botellas
Almacenamiento clásico con 36 botellas
Si se desea colocar las botellas para la conservación
del vino de modo tal, que sean visibles y fácilmente
extraíbles, se aconseja la configuración de 36
botellas (bordoleses o mixto bordoleses y renanos).

Coloque en los huecos de cada uno de los 5 estantes
de madera, una cantidad máxima de 6 botellas; otras 6
botellas se pueden colocar en las ranuras ubicadas en
la base de la cantina, haciendo un total de 36 botellas.
!Los estantes de madera tienen un sistema de
bloqueo para evitar la caída de las botellas.
Se sugiere colocar las botellas más grandes (Renana) en
los estantes inferiores (5 y 6); dichos estantes están
preparados para alojar botellas de dimensiones mayores.
!Un estante de
madera puede
soportar, en
condiciones de
seguridad, un máximo
de 22 botellas.
Almacenamiento con botellas Champagnotta
Debido a su mayor tamaño con respecto a las
botellas clásicas, las de Champagnotta se deben
colocar en la base de la cantina y no más de 5.
Si se desean almacenar
más botellas de tipo
Champagnotta, se debe
quitar el 5º estante y se
deben colocar las
botellas sobre las que
ya están ubicadas en la
base de la cantina, en

Extracción de los estantes de madera
Para extraer los estantes de madera, proceda del
siguiente modo:
1. Con una mano sujete la parte delantera del estante.
2. Extráigalo lentamente 1/3 del recorrido total, tirando
hacia sí mismo.
3. Extraiga o coloque las botellas y empuje
nuevamente el estante hacia el interior hasta que
se detenga en el fondo.
4. Verifique que el estante esté bloqueado intentando
lentamente su extracción, si se mueve, empújelo
nuevamente hacia el interior.
Si en cambio desea extraer la rejilla, después de
haber completado las fases 1 y 2 y haber extraído
las botellas, debe tirar el estante lentamente hacia sí
mismo hasta que salgan completamente las guías.
!Nunca extraiga más de un estante deslizable por
vez.
Si las botellas son pocas
Si la cantidad de botellas a disposición no es
suficiente para llenar el frigorífico cantina, se
aconseja dividirlas en todos los estantes
disponibles, evitando cargarlas a todas en la parte
superior o en la parte inferior. Para una mejor
visualización desde afuera, se aconseja colocarlas
en el centro de los estantes.
