Warnings
Handling of Schott Termofrost glass doors
Take care when handling the Schott Termofrost doors. Do not place the glass doors on the floor without protection. When
the door is placed on the floor, the gravity system on the bottom must not touch the ground to avoid the risk of
damaging it.
Protection of the cabinet during drilling / cutting processes
During drilling works that are done inside of the cabinet the goods (if present) must be protected to avoid metal spans
falling on them. Schott recommends the usage of a protective film that serves as a curtain between the working areas
and the inside of the cabinet.
Furthermore the magnetic gasket should be protected by using the blue protective foam, that can be clipped around
the bottom gasket. Without this protection the metal spans will get stuck to the magnetic gasket and get rusty in the humid
environment.
Electrical installation instructions
Before installation, maintenance or cleaning, always first switch off or disconnect the power and follow appropriate safety
procedures.
Installations and assembles must be carried out by a professional electrician in accordance with the applicable and
appropriate electrical codes and the instructions provided by SCHOTT.

There are different L-consoles for
different cabinets
Important Remark: Schott provides with all deliveries a sketch showing where the adapter is fixed to the cabinet !

5. Installation | Upper Adapter and frame
Fix the upper adapter to the
cabinet or to the L-console
Use the frame as a measurement
device for the correct height.
Turn the L-shape in a way that
the frame is leaning slightly
inside the cabinet (between 90
and 91°). At a system height of
1780 this corresponds to 5 - 10
mm.
Start with a first frame flush with the
lower adapter. The adapter has to be aligned with the front of the frame.
In case of fixation directly to the cabinet, drill and rivet 3 times for
an adapter of 1250 mm. Use 3 rivets Alu Ø4,8x10. In case of fixation to the L-console use screws and
nuts M6
Fix the upper part of the frame to the adapter with 3
rivets in the existing holes previewed in the frame.
Use Alu Rivets Ø4,8x25 on the left and right and in the
middle an Alu Rivet Ø4,8x10.
Make sure that the adapter is in level to avoid deformation when
riveting. If this is not the case, use a plastic plate to bring it to
contact. Use for example if delivered the plastic plate 2000 x
100 x 2 mm and cut out the size that you need.
Install all frames of a line.
Fix only the upper part as described
on the previous page
Connect the vertical bars with the
tape, which is always on the right side
of a frame
Assure that the frames are properly
aligned

SCHOTT Termofrost ®
SCHOTT Termofrost ®Page 8
5. Installation | Doors of a line
Hang in the doors - The bottom of the frame does not need to be fixed at this
stage
Start with insert upper door hinge into the hinge plate bearing in top
Door (in open position) has to be in
90°towards frame
Unscrew the screw that is kept
in the frame, then turn the
gravity plate and put the door in
the foreseen hole
Put the screw and washer back
to secure the gravity system.
Use max. force of 6N.
Important : To assure the
installation put the foreseen
screw

SCHOTT Termofrost ®
SCHOTT Termofrost ®Page 9
5. Installation | Adjusting the doors by sliding the frame on the bottom adapter
It may be necessary to slide all lower profiles in one or in the other direction to be able to adjust the level of the doors.
If the sliding of the frames does not allow a perfect adjustement, make an average adjustment that can be refined later.
If the doors do not close themselves pull the frame slightly out.
Important remark: For a proper door closing the door must lean slightly inside the cabinet. Assure this during the
adjustment procedure.
If the doors are not aligned in the internal/external direction, push slightly one corner of the frame in and pull the other
corner out
Once the doors are adjusted and closing automatically via gravity,
fix the frame with 3 Alu rivets (Ø4,8x25) which are put through the
foreseen holes in the frame.
Close the bottom part with the delivered cover
once the rivets are in place
5–10mm at
a height of
1800mm

SCHOTT Termofrost ®
SCHOTT Termofrost ®Page 10
Schott provides different material to close the gap between the frames and the side walls. It can be different according
cabinet type and position of the side wall to the frame. The standard delivery consist of a PVC L-profiles (19x19x1mm)
and/or a PVC plates (2000 x 100 x 2 mm). For special cases and bigger gaps on the sides Schott provides specific and
adapted material and a separate drawing
In case of the supply of PVC L-profile and PVC plate:
1- Install the PVC plate flush with the front of the frame to hide the profile
and rivet it in the vertical bar of the frame.
2- Tape the L-profile in the angle between the PVC plate and the side wall
In case of the supply only PVC L-profile:
Tape the L-profile in the angle between the
PVC plate and the side wall
5. Installation | Fine adjusting of the doors
In order to adjust the doors finely, use the upper hinge plate by unscrewing the 2 screws and then moving the door
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR T.AGD3
First check that the distance between the doors on the hinge side is more than 16 mm. Then make sure that the glasses
do not touch each other during opening at around 45°of the two doors at the same time.
If the distance is less than 16 mm, don't open the doors at the risk of glasses touching each other and break,
please modify slightly the adjustment on the upper slider (see above)
Warning : minimum distance
between the doors is 16 mm
5. Installation | Closing the cabinet on the sides using the delivered material

SCHOTT Termofrost ®
SCHOTT Termofrost ®Page 11
Ensure that...
All cabinets are properly cleaned after the installation and no metal span can be found inside or outside the
cabinet
All glass doors have been cleaned with a suitable glass clear (e.g. Nano Cleaner from Schott)
Doors are closing automatically via the gravity system
Frames are properly aligned
Doors are adjusted properly in the frame and screws are tightened
Adapters are properly fixed to the cabinet and no movement can be found between adapters and cabinets
The adapters are properly fixed with the frames
The sides of the cabinets are properly closed with the delivered finishing materials (corners and plastic plates)
Distance between stop pin and hinge plate is min 3 mm to guarantee a proper door stop function
For T.AGD3: Open 2 doors which are next to each and assure, that they do not touch each other (see picture
below)

7. Care and cleaning
Glass surfaces
Surfaces may be cleaned with household glass cleaner and a sponge, tissue or paper towel. Cleaners containing alcohol
may be used but the alcohol content should be no greater than 30%-40%of the solution. Remove any oily contamination
with a grease cutting cleaner.
Door hinging
Greasing of the door hinging is not necessary. Clean dirt by wiping it away with a dry tissue.
Aluminum material
Clean the surface by wiping with a soft cloth.Using hard materials such as a metal scraper or a scrubbing brush will
damage the surface and cause corrosion.
The aluminum surface is treated with anti-corrosion anodic oxide coating. However, salt, acid, alkali or water containing
such substances will cause corrosion when coming into contact with the aluminum surface. Therefore, immediately wipe
away such substances.
Plastic and rubber parts and magnetic sealings
Clean the plastic / rubber surfaces with a soft tissue or towel, that was slightly moistened with water. Do avoid organic
solvents.
For Cleaning purposes do not use
•Razor blades or knives
•Cleaners which contain moisturizers, abrasives, strong acids, or caustic substances (e.g. Ajax, Scotch-Brite or
similar cleaners)
8. Troubleshooting and problem solving
General points
•Repairs and replacement must be conducted by professionals. Spare parts and guidance are available upon
request
•Opening the door wider than the door stop position will cause parts to distort. This may interfere with correct
opening/closing of the door or may result in system damages and causing injury
•During restocking, open the doors fully and load the goods, be careful not to scratch the glass
•Do not hang heavy items from the door or handle. Do not use the door as climbing aid. Also, do not stand or place
your foot on the lower parts of the system
•Do not modify the product
•Abnormal operation may result in injury, electric shock or fire.
