Smart Sensor Gateway Node Details
Scientech 6205SSG Smart Sensor Gateway is an all in one development platform for
embedded system and IoT with inbuilt Wi-Fi, XBee, LCD and USB for output of the
data as well as plenty of extra GPIO to interface sensors and actuators.
It has inbuilt microcontroller ATmega2560, 54 digital input/output pins (of which 15
can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a
USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
It can be powered via the USB connection, Inbuilt Battery or with an external power
supply. The power source is selected automatically. The adapter can be connected by
plugging a USB Cable into the input of USB connector. Scientech6205SB has inbuilt
battery of 4400mah capacity and by switching on the power switch inbuilt booster
circuit will power the Scientech6205SB from battery.
The ATMega2560 used in Scientech 6205 SSG is a low-power CMOS 8-bit
microcontroller based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture. By executing
powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega2560 achieves throughputs
approaching 1 MIPS per MHz allowing the system designed to optimize power
consumption versus processing speed.
Note: To charge the battery power the system over USB port and keep the power
switch on. Maximum charging time is 5 hours and it has inbuilt battery charging and
protection circuit for low voltage.

1. Potentiometer:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway comes with a built-in 10K Potentiometer.
2. Power Supplies and Ground
2.1 +5 V DC Supply:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway is provided with three (3) +5V power supply
pins that can be connected using patch cords.
2.2 +3.3V DC Supply:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway is provided with three (3) +3.3V power supply
pins that can be connected using patch cords.
2.3 GND:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway is provided with three GND (ground) pins that
can be connected using patch cords.

Power LED:
The status of power supply in Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway can be determined by
the status of a built-in LED.
3. LCD: LCD used in Scientech 6205 is a full color 128x160 TFT LCD display
module. Three buttons up, down, enter are provided to move cursor up, down
and select an option respectively.

4. Voltage and Current Meter:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway is provided with an in-built voltmeter and ammeter
for user to enable easy testing and debugging.
Voltmeter Range: 0-25V
Ammeter Range: 0-10A
Values of voltmeter and ammeter are displayed on the panel.
Note:
●Always connect voltmeter parallel to the device across which potential is to be
measured.
●Always connect ammeter in series with the device through which current is to be
measured.
●Do not short ammeter to 5V supply.

5. USB Port:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway is provided with a USB port which can be used to
connect to any system and can also be used for charging.
6. Buzzer:
Scientech Smart Sensor Gateway comes with a built-in buzzer that can be connected
using patch chord. This buzzer can be used as an actuator which responds to the
change of state in sensors.

1. Smart Touch Panel:
The built-in touch switch panel in Smart Building is programmed to enable easy
user control .It provides the user accessibility and control over various devices
such as lights etc.
This panel can be used to change state of lights in rooms of the smart building
and can also be used to control analog devices such as fans (speed), the output
of which can be seen as a function of intensity of light of the bulb connected to
the bulb holder of the Smart Building.

2. RFID module:
RFID module is generally used for access control in smart building. Passive
RFID tags are used for communication with the RFID reader. The tags are read
and if their ids match with the ids stored in the database; access is provided.
RFID modules are therefore important from security and access control point of
view.
3. Bulb Holder:
Scientech 6205SB comes with a built-in bulb holder. A bulb connected onto this
affects the intensity of light of the bulb. This variation in the intensity of
brightness of bulb can be easily linked to variation of fan speed which is
controlled using a regulator.
