Introduction
Thank you for ordering the Sea Eagle Solar Canopy. We believe this is the finest solar panel and canopy on the market.
This solar canopy is used with Torqeedo 1003 and will charge the Torqeedo lithium battery in less than 10 hours, depend-
ing on sunlight conditions. The unique properties of this amorphous silicon solar cell panel allows it to be flexible, to be
rolled or unrolled, to be durable and to continuously recharge, even in low-light conditions.
PowerFilm integrated solar panels (thin film on plastic) are developed and manufactured with a proprietary roll process
and they are truly rollable unlike other thin film technologies that are only somewhat flexible.
PowerFilm solar panels are all monolithically integrated which eliminates the need for damage-prone manual connections
of individual solar cells. PowerFilm is made of silicon, a natural resource in abundant supply. PowerFilm is Cadmium Free,
unlike some other solar technologies, and performs well in diverse environments, including hot sun, and does not suffer
from wasted over-voltage.
Solar Canopy is compatible with Torqeedo Ultralight 403, Travel 503 & Travel 10003 models.

Setup
Always roll/unroll your
solar panel and always
with the silicon solar
cells (dark side) in the
OUTWARD position.
Roll the solar module
from the bottom up so
that the plug remains on
the outside.
You should avoid
creasing, crinkling,
folding or standing on
your solar panel as this
can damage the silicon
solar cells and degrade
the performance of the
solar panel.
The solar panel is
weather resistant and
can withstand freezing
temperatures and water.
After repeated use in
fresh or salt water, wipe
the solar panel with a
dry cloth/sponge (no
cleaning agents!) and
dry before storage or
further use. Avoid
prolonged submersion.
DO NOT use the Solar
Panel 45T with a 12 volt
battery of any kind.
Setup
Keep the shipping tube
that your solar panel
was shipped in. It is
highly recommended to
use this shipping tube
as a storage unit for
your solar panel. Please
make sure that unit is
dry before storage.
Included with the Solar
Panel 45T
• 15” Extension Cord
• Shipping Tube
• Instruction Manual
Unroll your Solar Panel
45W with the solar cells
(dark side) facing out
and place it on top of
your canopy canvas.
Solar Canopy grommets
are pre-installed for
installation. Included
with the canopy are 8
(disposable) zip ties to
secure your solar panel
to the canopy. You can
purchase additional zip
ties in most hardware
and department stores.
2

Take a zip tie and go
underneath and slide
the zip tie through the
grommet on the under-
side of the canopy, then
through the grommet
and finally through the
underside of the grom-
met on the solar panel.
Repeat this process for
grommets on the
canopy and solar panel.
Once through, secure
the zip tie by running it
back through the small
opening on the other
end. Repeat this for all
grommets. When stor-
ing your solar panel,
carefully clip off zip ties
and remove your solar
panel from the canopy.
Make sure the plug on
the junction box of the
panel is well connected
to the 15” cord. There is
a tab on the plug that
should make a clicking
sound when securly
connected to the cord.
Plug the other end of
the cord into the port on
the motor with a plug
icon above it.
You may permanently
leave the panel con-
nected to your battery.
A blocking diode in the
junction box that blocks
reverse draining of cur-
rent from your battery.
As with any permanent
connection to a battery,
safely clean the connec-
tions on a periodic basis
or as needed.
