9. Disengage aft attachment c utches before attempting to
start the engine,
10 Disengage power to attachments and stop the engine
before eaving the operator's position
11 Disen_]age power to mower, stop the engine and discon.
nect spark p ug wire(s) from spark p ug(s) before c ean-
ing, making an adjustment or repair Be carefu to avoid
touching hot muff er or engine components,
12 Disengage power toattachments when transporting or not
in use,
13 Take a possib e precautions when eaving the vehic e un-
attended. Disengage the power-take-off, ower the at-
tachments, shift into neutra , set the parking brake, stop
the engine and remove the key,
14 Do not stop or start sudden y when going f/ or

c eaner or cover direct y over carburetor air intake is
removed, Remova of such part cou d create afire hazard.
32 Donot operate without amuff er or tamper with exhaust
system, Damaged muff ers or spark arrestors cou d create
afire hazard,. Inspect periodica y and rep ace if necessary,

spected for damage after striking aforeign object and the
damage shou d berepaired before restarting and operating
the equipment
34 Donot change the engine governor settings or ovetspeed
the engine; severe damage or injury may resu t,,
