DEW (MOISTURE CONDENSATION)
The VCP has a built-in a humidity eliminator unit to
dry the metal surfaces, when humidity is high, to
prevent damage to the tape. When the VCP is
moved from a cold area to a warm area, a lot of
moisture forms on the metal surfaces. The DEW
indicator will light and the VCP will not operate
except for the EJECT mode. If this occurs, connect
the power cord to the AC line, press "POWER"
ON/OFF button on and wait for the VCP to dry out.

• Picture playback may become blurred or interrupted even
though the TV program received is clear. This does not mean
that the recorded program has been erased.
• Dirt accumulation on the head after long periods of use can
cause these problems.
• If high quality video tapes are used in this VCP, the video
heads should not normally require cleaning: however it is
possible that the heads may become clogged when playing an
old or damaged tape. If the image on your screen resembles
the picture on the left, while playing back a tape, the heads
may require cleaning.
e To clean the heads, obtain a head cleaning tape from your
local video dealer. Be sure to follow the instructions that come
with the cleaning tape, as excessive use can shorten head
life.
REPLACING THE FUSE
The fuse on the back of this unit protects it from short circuits and DC power surges. If the receiver stops
