INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The SecurView™ SV-9151 is a retrofit “Clip-on” style rear view mirror monitor. This style of
mirror clips over the factory rear view mirror in seconds and gives you the convenience of a 4.3”
LCD monitor. The clip-on styling makes it easy to remove from the factory mirror is need be and
lets the vehicle owner retain certain other features of their factory rear view mirror such as
OnStar™

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1. Attach the SV-9151 mirror to the factory rear view mirror using the mounting clips.
2. Place the bottom mounting clips of the 9151 on the bottom edge of the factory rear
view mirror and plug upwards to clip the upper set of mounting clips to the top edge of
the factory rear view mirror. The bottom mounting clips slide up and down to give you
a little play when clipping on the mirror
3. Make sure to adjust the mirror so that the driver can still easily see out the rear
windshield when looking in the mirror
4. Route the wiring harness of the SV-9151 mirror through the vehicle headliner and
down the driver’s side A-pillar.
- DO NOT block any air bags that may be inside the A-pillar or in the headliner with the
wiring harness, this may cause the air bags to not deploy correctly and could result in
serious injury.

WIRING:
1. Route the monitor’s power / video harness through the headliner and down the A-pillar
and under the dash board where you can make all of the power and video connections
2. Route the YELLOW RCA video plug of your reverse camera up the side or middle of the
vehicle and plug it into the Yellow RCA (VIDEO 1) connector of the SV-9151 monitor
3. The other YELLOW RCA (VIDEO 2) can be used for a secondary video source such as
a DVD player
4. Plug-in the power adaptor to the RED power plug of the monitor. Connect the RED wire
to a +12 Volt ignition source and connect the BLACK wire to chassis ground.

OPERATION:
When the vehicle is first turned on with the key the monitor will power up and the VIDEO 2
source will be active. If you have a DVD player or a front camera connected to the input, then
the image from this source will be displayed.
When the vehicle is shifted into reverse and the rear camera activates, the monitor will pick up
the video signal on the VIDEO 1 RCA and automatically switch to the reverse camera and
display the image. Once the vehicle is shifted out of reverse, the VIDEO 2 input will take over
again.
