General
Information
Intended Purpose
The Rack Mount Kit 3 (RMK3)
contains rails and accessories for
installing a myUTN-800 or
dongleserver ProMAX into a rack.
These rails will fit a 19" rack that is at
least 14.5" deep.
This installation guide describes the
installation of a myUTN-800
respectively dongleserver ProMAX
into a rack using the RMK3.
There are a variety of racks on the
market, which may mean the
installation procedure will differ
slightly. Also refer to the installation
instructions that came with the rack
you are using.
Only pull out the myUTN-800
respectively dongleserver ProMAX
temporarily for installation,
maintenance and the connection or
removal of USB devices.
Documentation
The myUTN-800 and dongleserver
ProMAX will be referred to together
as 'device' in this documentation.
The installation is described using a
myUTN-800. If you install a
dongleserver ProMAX, apply the
steps demonstrated with the
myUTN-800 to the dongleserver
ProMAX.

Das Rack Mount Kit 3 (RMK3)
beinhaltet Schienen mit Zubehör für
den Einbau eines myUTN-800 oder
dongleserver ProMAX in einen
Serverschrank.
Die Schienen sind konstruiert für 19-
Zoll-Serverschränke mit einer
Mindest-Einbautiefe von 37 cm.
Diese Einbauanleitung beschreibt
den Einbau eines myUTN-800 oder
dongleserver ProMAX in einen
Serverschrank unter Verwendung
des RMK3.
Auf dem Markt existieren mehrere
Serverschrank-Varianten, die sich im
Aufbau leicht unterscheiden. Lesen
Sie auch die Dokumentation zu
Ihrem Serverschrank.
Ziehen Sie den myUTN-800 bzw.
dongleserver ProMAX nur temporär
für Einbau, Wartungsarbeiten und
den Anschluss von USB-Geräten
heraus.

ProMAX werden in dieser
Dokumentation zusammenfassend
als 'Gerät' bezeichnet.
Der Einbau wird anhand des myUTN-
800 beschrieben. Beim Einbau eines

ProMAX.

Safety Regulations
Note the following safety
regulations:
• Read and observe the safety
regulations about the rack, the
device, and the RMK3.
• The RMK3 must not be used for
any other purpose than that for
which it has been designed.
• Always make sure the rack is
stable.
• Always make sure that there is
sufficient ventilation for the
device in the rack and, if possible,
leave a gap between adjacent 19"
units. The permissible operating
temperature range for your
device can be found in the
device‘s Quick Installation Guide.
• The installation must only be
carried out by qualified
personnel.
• There is a risk of crushing and
injury during installation and use.
Be careful with your fingers and
other body parts.

• Phillips screwdriver
• Fasteners for mounting the
device in the rack (not included in
delivery)

Preparation
1. Remove the power cords from
the device. (Interrupt the power
supply)
2. Remove the network cables (RJ-
45) from the device.
Vorbereitung
1. Entfernen Sie die
Stromversorgungskabel
(Netzkabel) vom Gerät.
(Stromzufuhr unterbrechen)
2. Entfernen Sie die Netzwerkkabel
(RJ-45) vom Gerät.

Installation: Step 1
Remove the rubber feet
Remove all the rubber feet from the
device.
1. Place the device carefully upside
down on a solid surface.
2. Remove the pin from the rubber
foot using a small slotted screw-
driver.
The rubber foot detaches
automatically.
3. Repeat step 2 for the other rubber
feet.
4. Turn the device around again.
Important:
Please keep pins and
rubber feet in a safe place.
You might need them in
the future.
Einbau: 1. Schritt
Füße entfernen
Entfernen Sie alle Füße des Geräts.
1. Platzieren Sie das Gerät kopfüber
auf eine feste Auflage.
2. Hebeln Sie mit einem kleinen
Schlitzschraubenzieher den Stift
aus dem Fuß heraus.
Der Fuß löst sich automatisch.
3. Wiederholen Sie Schritt 2 mit
allen anderen Füßen.
4. Drehen Sie das Gerät wieder
herum.
Wichtig:
Bewahren Sie Stifte und
Füße für einen
eventuellen zukünftigen
Einsatz gut auf.

Remove the rails (a) from the
mounting brackets (b).

Schienen und Lochwinkel trennen
Nehmen Sie die Schienen (a) aus den
Lochwinkeln (b) heraus.
