SET UP:
- UNIT:
Plug the tail end of the AC-adaptor into the DC-jack (socket) on the side of the main unit. Insert the plug of the
AC-adaptor into the wall ac socket.
Press the On/Standby key to switch on the unit. This unit is design ed to be "on" or in "standby mode".
- REMOTE:
Remove (gently pull out) the plastic "tab" from the battery compartment at the rear of the remote control.
- iPod :
Unwrap the iPod dock to connect the cord to the main unit (Docking socket).

Follow the below steps to get started.

Switch unit to “Standby” mode (display light dimmed).
Press the "Menu" key to display “Set Clock/ Set Timer/ Reset” options.
Use the Next or Back and Select keys to select ‘Set Clock’ use the same navigational keys to then input/select
subsequent onscreen settings choices.

Use the Function key to toggle between different sources from which to have playback.

- JOG WHEEL:
This system has a unique “Jog Wheel” that has been specially
designed with the ability to control both volume levels and easy
navigation of the many function interfaces – allowing for an
intuitive and complete audio experience.
Use the 'Volume/Jog Mode' key to toggle the jog wheel controls
between volume and navigation.
- ENCODING (CD / INTERNET RADIO RIPPING):
Encoding function is the most intelligent function which allows
different audio sources to be recorded and transferred onto the
USB or SD-Cardas a MP3 format file.
Insert A USB/ SD Card into the respective slot.
At anytime during CD/ CD-MP3 playback, Internet Radio or
AUX-in function, press "RECORD" to record and transfer
the source file.

Switch to “Internet Radio” mode using the ‘Function’ key.
If the system begins automatic playback, press the 'Prev' key once for the LCD to display the playback menu
(Including sub-menu's such as my favorites, Local (city), all stations, podcasts, my added stations and help).
Use the jog wheel or 'next/prev/up/down' and 'select/enter' keys to navigate and select submenu's for playback
choices, grouped based on location or genre, or search for your favorites.

WiFi SET UP:
For Internet radio and Music player modes, you need to connect the
unit to your network via either:
A wired router and an ethernet (RJ45 network) cable, or
A Wi-Fi wireless router, together with password key if set
To run the Network wizard manually:
Select Menu > System settings > Network > Network wizard
Once the wizard starts, enter the following information:
If not already set, WLAN region (select country/region from list),
Network name (select your network from the list),
If connecting to an encrypted wireless network, the key (password).
To enter your key, use the jog wheel and select controls to move the
cursor through and enter the characters.
Once you have completed entering the key, select OK

* The website www.wifiradio-frontier.com allows you to organise your ‘favourites’ lists.
INTERNET RADIO:
To register your unit with the portal, first get your unit’s unique portal access code by selecting
Menu > Station list > Help > Get access code >.

Connect and Turn on both the unit and the iPod.
Use the Play/Pause, Next and Previous keys to control playback from the iPod
Use the menu key to navigate the available iPod menu's (such as playlist, artist song, video or others depending on
your iPod). Use the 'next/prev/up/down' key's or jog wheel to scroll within menu's and submenu's. Then press the
'select/enter' key to confirm highlighted section.

DAB Radio transmits broadcasts digitally; resulting in a higher quality sound, without hiss or fading given signal
strength of station is adequate.
DAB:
iPod:
Switch to “DAB Radio” mode using the ‘Function’ key.
The unit will then perform a full scan to display all available stations.
Use the Menu > Manual Scan feature to refresh or filter the stations, whilst the jog wheel or 'next/prev/up/down' and
'select/enter' keys allow for navigating between available stations.
During playback from the stream, press the ‘info’ key to cycle through the stream information such as DLS
information, programme type, ensemble name/frequency, signal strength and additional information about the stream.
At any time during playback, the currently displayed station or frequency can be stored into one of 10 memory
positions by pressing and briefly holding the ‘Prog’ key.
