SPECIALNOTE FOR USERS IN THE U.K.
The mains lead ofthisproductis tted withanon-rewireable(moulded)plug incorporating a5Afuse.Should
the fuse need tobe replaced,aBSIorASTAapproved BS 1362 fuse marked or and ofthe samerating
as above,which isalso indicated on the pinface ofthe plug,mustbe used.
Always re t the fuse cover after replacing the fuse. Never use the plugwithoutthe fuse cover tted.
Inthe unlikelyeventofthe socketoutletinyour home notbeing compatiblewiththe plug supplied,cutoffthe
mains plug and tanappropriatetype.

The fuse from the cut-offplug shouldbe removed and the cut-offplug destroyed immediatelyand disposed

The wires inthe mains lead are colouredinaccordance withthe following code:
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colours ofthe wires inthe mains lead ofthisproductmay notcorrespond withthe coloured
markings identifying the terminalsinyour plug,proceed as follows:
The wirewhich iscoloured blue mustbe connected tothe plug terminalwhich ismarked Nor coloured•
black.
The wire which iscoloured brownmustbe connectedtothe plug terminalwhich ismarked Lorcoloured•
red.
Ensure thatneither the brownnorthe blue wire isconnected tothe earthterminalinyour three pinplug.
Before replacing the plug covermake sure that:
Ifthe new tted plug contains afuse,itsvalue isthesame as thatremoved from the cut-offplug.•
The cord gripisclamped overthe sheathofthe mains lead,and not simplyoverthe lead wires.•

Preparation

Cleaning—Unplug the ACcord from the ACoutletbefore cleaning the product.Use adamp clothtoclean•

Water and moisture—Donotuse the productnearwater,such as bathtub,washbasin,kitchen sink,laundry•

Donotplace vases or any other water- lled containers on thisproduct.The water may spillontothe product•
causing re or electricshock.
Stand—Donotplace the producton an unstablecart,stand,tripod or table.Doing so can•
cause theproducttofall,resulting inserious personalinjuries as well as damage totheproduct.
Use onlyacart, stand,tripod,bracketor tablerecommended by the manufacturer orsold
withthe product.When mounting the producton awall,be sure tofollowthe manufacturer’s
instructions.Use onlythe mounting hardwarerecommended by the manufacturer.
When relocating the productplaced on acart,itmustbe moved withutmostcare.Sudden•
stops,excessive force and uneven oor surface can cause the producttofallfromthe cart.
Ventilation—The ventsand otheropenings inthe cabinetare designed for ventilation.Donot•
cover or block these ventsand openings since insuf cientventilation can cause overheating

Due tothe very large number ofpixels,occasionallyafewnon-active pixelsmay appear on the screen as a
xed pointofblue,green or red.Thisiswithinproductspeci cations and does notconstituteafault.
Precautions when transporting theTV
When transporting the TV,never carryitby holding ontothe speakers.Besure toalways carrythe TVby two
peopleholding itwithtwohands—one hand on each side ofthe TV.

Topreventthe spread of re,keep candles or other open ames away from thisproduct
atalltimes.

Please read the following recommended safety

Power Source
The TVsetshouldbe operated onlyfroma220-240
VAC,50 Hzoutlet.Ensure thatyou selectthe correct
voltage setting for yourconvenience.
Power Cord
Donotplace the set, apiece offurniture,etc. on the
powercord (mainslead) orpinchthecord.Handlethe
powercord by the plug.Donotunplug the appliance
by pulling from the power cord and never touch the
powercordwithwethandsas thiscouldcauseashort
circuitor electricshock.Nevermakeaknotinthecord
or tieitwithother cords.The power cords shouldbe
placedinsuch awaythatthey arenotlikelytobe
stepped on.Adamaged power cord can cause re or
give you an electricshock.When itisdamaged and
needs tobe replaced,itshouldbe done by quali ed

Moisture and Water
Donotuse thisdeviceinahumidand
dampplace (avoidthe bathroom,the
sink inthe kitchen,and near the washing

Excessive sound pressure from earphones

LCD Screen
The LCD panelisavery high technology product
with over 6million thin lmtransistors,giving you ne
picture details. Occasionally, afew non-active pixels
may appear on the screen as a xed blue,green or
red point. Please notethatthisdoes notaffectthe

Warning
Donotleave yourTVinstandby or operating mode
whenyou leave yourhouse.
The Standby /Onbutton doesn´tseparatethis•
device completelyfrom mains.Moreover the device
consumes power inthe standby operation.Inorder

You can use Power Save Mode setting,located inthe PictureSettings menu.Ifyou setPowerSave Mode•
as Eco,the TVwillswitch toenergy-saving mode and luminance levelofTVsetwillbe decreased to
optimumlevel.Notethatsomepicture settings will be unavailabletobe changed when the TV isinPower
Save Mode.
Ifyou setpower save mode as Picture off,amessage will appearon the screen and backlightwillbe off•
withinthree seconds. Press any button on theremotecontroller toactivatethe pictureagain.
When the TV isnotinuse,please switch offordisconnectthe TVfromthe mains plug.Thiswillalso reduce•

Remove the batterycover located on the back of•
the remotecontrolby gentlypulling backwards from
the indicated part.
Inserttwo• AAA/R3 or equivalenttype batteries
inside.Observethe correctpolarity(+/-)when

Note:Remove the battery from remotecontrolwhen

To Switch the TV On
Connectthe power cordtothe 220-240V AC50 Hz.
Switch the “• ” button on the rear lefthand side

To Switch the TV Off
Switch the “• ”buttonbottom rightedgeunderthe

TVfrom the mains,the LEDwillgo out.

holidays,thenunplug the powercord from the
mains socket.
Digital Teletext (** for UK only)
Pressthe“• ”button.
The digitalteletextinformation appears.•
Operateitwiththe coloured buttons,cursor buttons•

The operation method may differ depending on the
contentsofthe digitalteletext.
Followthe instructionsdisplayed on digitalteletext

Set Timer /Delete Timer
After you have selected aprogramme inEPGmenu,
pressthe OK button and and Options screenwill
bedisplayed.Select“SetTimeronEvent”option
and press OK button.You can setatimer for future

Tocancelan already setreminder,highlightthat
programmeandpressthe OK button.Then select
“Delete Timer”option.The timer willbe cancelled.
Note:Itisnotpossibletorecord or settimerfor twoor
moreindividualeventsatthe same time interval.
FirstTime Installation
IMPORTANT:Ensurethatthe aerialisconnected
andaCommon Interfacemoduleisnot inserted
beforeswitching ontheTVforthefirsttime
installation.
Donot insert acommon interface moduleduring the
search process.
When theTV isoperated forthe rsttime,installation•
wizard willguideyou through the process.First,
language selection screen willbe displayed:

and press OK button toset selected language and

After selecting yourlanguage,you willbe required•
