Note: When working in QSPI mode, the reset push button does not work.
The carrier board has two boot selection jumpers:
BT SL 0 –Select SDIO device, selects between SD (open) and eMMC (closed)
BT SL 1 –Selects boot source between SD/eMMC (close) and QSPI NOR Flash(open)
Getting started
In order to operate the evaluation board follow the following steps:
Unpack the evaluation board
Connect the power supply to the power inlet
Connect the UART to USB cable to the Debug port (J-20)and open a terminal
application on the PC using the following parameters:
Rate - 115,200 Bps, data –8 bits, party –none, stop –1bit and flow control –none.
Note that the virtual com number may differ from PC to PC.
Connect an Ethernet network to the Ethernet port for network or WEB access.
Select the right boot source using BT SL 0 and 1 jumpers.
For activating the desktop application, a VGA module should be placed on J32(The
VGA is set to 768x1024), see picture below. USB mouse and keyboard can be
connected to J1 and/or J3.

Note: The board is loaded with a demo version that uses the QSPI for preloader and boot,
while the file system is loaded on the internal eMMC chip. An image for SD card can be
downloaded from the Shiratech site.
