lf your Shop-Vac WeVDry Vac ever needs repair or maintenance during
the warranty period or any time thereafter, there are Authorized Shop-
Vac Service Centres located across the country (please see the enclosed
separate pamphlet).
Do not attempt to service your Shop-Vac WeVDry Vac beyond that
described in the User Manual. For all other servicing, please refer to a
qualified Shop-Vac Service Centre.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the followlng:

Shop-Vac warrants the vacuum cleaner for two years from the date of purchase to correct by repair or parts replacement without charge, any
product defect due to faulty material or workmanship provided that the vacuum cleaner is not used for rental service. This warranty does not
cover accessories. Simply return the complete unit, (transpottation prepaid), to the Authorized Shop-Vac Service Centre nearest you (a complete
list of Authorized Shop-Vac Service Centres is included with each vacuum cleaner). Shop-Vac assumes no responsibility for damage or faulty
performance caused by misuse or careless handling, or where repairs have been made or attempted by others. proof oi purchase date is
required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary trom state to state. Our goods come with
guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for

Before replacing tank cover, please refer to DRy plCK Up or WET
PICK UP 0PERATI0N in this manual to ensure you have the proper
filters installed for your cleaning operation.
Replace tank cover.
Attach the extension wands to the accessory end of the hose.
Twist slightly to tighten the connection. -
Attach one ofthe cleaning accessories (depending 0n your
cteanrng. requirements) to the extension wand. Twist slighfly to
tighten the connection
Plug-the cord_into the wall outlet. Your cleaner is ready for use.

TANK GOVER.
To pick up dust and dry material, you must install foam sleeve and reusable
dry filter or disposable filter bag to ensure proper filtration. lf the vacuum
has been used to pick up liquids, the foam sleeve must be cleaned and
dried before installing for dry pick up. With tank cover in an upside down
position, slide foam sleeve down over lid cage pulling until foam sleeve
completely covers lid cage (Figure 1, 2). Center the reusable dry filter (not
standard on all models) on lid cage (Figure 3), slide mounting ring down
over filter until ring is positioned against the ribs of the lid cage(Figure 4).
The reusable dry filter should always be in position over the foam sJeeve '
for dry pick up. To remove the filter for cleaning, remove mounting ring and
filter from lid cage (Figure 5). To clean the reusable dry filter, snafe otf
excess difi and dust or (depending on the condition of the filter) rinse with
water. Allow the filter to dry completely and reinstall.
NOTE: ENSURE THAT THE MOUNTING RING IS COMPLETELY SECURE AND IN POSITION BY PRESSING DOWN FIRMLY AROUND THE RING IN
SEVERAL PLACES. BE SURETHE REUSABLE DRY DISC FILTER COMPLETELY COVERSTHE FOAM SLEEVE. CHECKTO ENSURETHATALL EDGES OF
THE REUSABLE DRY FILTER ARE SECURE UNDER THE MOUNTING RING.

Do not operate if cord, plug or appliance is damaged. ln your double insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of
grounding. No grounding means is provided nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance.
NorE: lf power cord needs to be replaced, use only a shop-vac Service Agent.
Use only a cord extension set that complies with AS3199. Conductor size must be '1.0mm2 for length up to 25 metres and .l.5mm2 for length
from 25 - 32 metres.
Remove tank cover and any accessories which may have been
shipped in the tank.

Efficiency of the vacuum is largely dependent on the filters. Dirty filters will reduce the air flow and efficiency of the filtration system.

The cleaner is equipped with an automatic shut-off that operates when picking up liquids. As ihe level of the liquid rises, an internal float rises
until it seats itseif against a seal at the intake of the motor, shutting off suction. When this happens, the motor will develop a higher than
normal pitch noise. io continue use, empty the liquid waste from the tank as outlined in the previous paragraph'
NOTE: IF ACCIDENTALLY TIPPED OVER, THE VACUUM COULD LOSE SUCTION. IF THIS OCGURS, PLACE VAC IN UPRIGHT POSITION AND TURN
SWITCH OFF. THIS WILL ALLOW THE FLOAT TO RETURN TO ITS NORMAL POSITION, AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE OPERATION.
No lubrication is necessary as the motor is equipped with lifetime lubricated bearings.
Before storing your vacuum cleaner, the tank should be emptied and cleaned. The power cord can be wound around the housing of the unit for
convenience. Accessories may be stored in the caster dolly tool holder on rear of unit. The cleaner should be stored indoors.

REPAIRS SHOULD BE MADE BEFORE REUSING THE VACUUM.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Brush dirt from filter. lf condition continues, change filter.
Suction weakens or
cleaner runs hot. Check all fittings for tight fit (nozzles, h.oses, etc.).
Check that tank cover is sealed properly.
Check nozzle, hose, etc. for obstructions, and remove if present.
Replace saturated filter with a dry filter.
Misting in the exhaust air.
