ensureasafeoperation, itisabsolutelynecessaryfortheusertofollowthesafetyinstructionsand
warning noteswritteninthisusermanual.

Ifthedevice hasbeenexposedtotemperaturechangesduetoenvironmentalchanges, donot
switchitonimmediately. Thearising condensationcoulddamagethedevice. Leavethedevice
switchedoffuntilithasreachedroomtemperature.
Thisdevice fallsunderprotection-classI.Thereforeitisessentialthatthedevice beearthed.
Ifprotectionscreen,lensorultravioletscreeninthefixtureisapparentlydamagedorisdamaged
toexceedtheirowneffectivedegree, suchascrackedandgashed,itmustbereplaced.
Theelectricconnectionmustcarryoutbyqualifiedperson.
Makesurethattheavailablevoltageisnothigherthanstatedattheendofthismanual.
Makesurethepowercordisnevercrimpedordamagedbysharpedges. Ifthiswouldbethecase,
replacementofthecablemustbedonebyanauthorizeddealer.
Alwaysdisconnectfromthemains, whenthedeviceisnotinuseorbeforecleaning it. Only
handlethepowercordbytheplug. Neverpull outtheplug bytuggingthepowercord.
Duringinitialstart-upsomesmokeorsmellmayarise. Thisisanormalprocess anddoesnot
necessarilymeanthatthedevice isdefective,itshoulddecreasegradually.
Pleasedon'tprojectthebeamontocombustiblesubstances.
Iftheexternalflexiblecableorcordofthisluminaireisdamaged,itshall beexclusivelyreplaced
bythemanufacturerorhisserviceagentorasimilarqualifiedpersoninordertoavoidahazard.

Thisdevice isalightingeffectforprofessionaluseonstages, indiscotheques, theatres, etc.,the
device wasdesignedforindooruseonly.
Thisfixtureisonlyallowedtobeoperatedwiththemaxalternatingcurrentwhichstatedinthe
technicalspecificationsinthelastpageofthismanual.
Lightingeffectsarenotdesignedforpermanentoperation. Consistentoperationbreaksmay
ensurethatthedevice willserveyouforalongtimewithoutdefects.

Donotshakethedevice.Avoidbruteforce wheninstalling oroperatingthedevice.
Whilechoosingtheinstallation-spot,pleasemakesurethatthedevice isnotexposedtoextreme
heat, moistureordust.Pleasedon'tprojectthebeamontocombustiblesubstances.Theminimum
distance betweenlight-outputfromtheprojectorandtheilluminatedsurfacemustbemorethan3
meter.
Ifyouusethequicklockcaminhanging up thefixture, pleasemakesurethequicklockfasteners
turnedinthequicklockholescorrectly.
Operatethedevice onlyafterhaving familiarizedwithitsfunctions. Donotpermitoperationby
personsnotqualifiedforoperatingthedevice. Mostdamagesaretheresultofunprofessional
operation.
Pleaseusetheoriginalpackaging ifthedevice istobetransported.
Forsafetyreasons, pleasebeawarethatall modificationsonthedevice areforbidden.
Ifthisdevice willbeoperatedinanywaydifferenttotheonedescribedinthismanual, the
productmaysufferdamagesandtheguarantee becomesvoid. Furthermore, anyotheroperation
mayleadtoshort-circuit, burns, electricshock, lampexplosion, crash, etc.
4. INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS
4.1)Installing orreplacingthelamp
BecauseofthenatureoftheextremeheatassociatedwiththePlatinum15Rlampand
thetightnatureoftheinternalopticalsystemitisimperativethatthelampbe
replacedevery2000 hours. This isdonetoprotecttheinternalopticalsystemaswell
as preventaccidentallampexplosion, whichcouldleadtohotglass particles falling
fromthefixture.Failuretochangethelampwithin300 hoursofoperationwillresult
inautomaticshutdownofthefixture s electronics.
Onlyinstallthelampwiththedeviceunpluggedfromthemains.
Thelamphastobereplacedwhenitisdamagedordeformed.

Beforereplacingthelampletthelampcooldown,becauseduringoperation,thelampcan
reachveryhightemperature.
Duringtheinstallationofhalogenlampsdonottouchtheglass bulbsbarehanded.Alwaysusea
clothtohandlethelampsduringinsertionandremoval.
Donotinstall lampswithahigherwattage.Theygeneratehighertemperaturesthanwhichthe
device wasdesignedfor.
Fortheinstallation,youneedone:PLATINUM15R
Procedures:
1) Unscrewthe3screws(A, B, C)onthebottomofthehousing, holding theplatewherethe
lampisunderneath. Carefullyremovethemetalplate.
2) Insertthelampcounter-clockwise35 degree intothelampholder,thenturnclockwise35
degree toputitintotherightposition. Attention:pleasewrapthelampwiththesoftcloththat
comeswiththepacking, avoidnakedhandcontacttothelampdirectly.
3) Putthelampholderbackpositionafterinstallthelamp, tightenthescrewandcompletethe
installation.
Pleaserememberthelampisnotahot-restriketype, youmustwaitforapproximately10
minutesafterhaving turnedoffthelampbeforeyoucanturnitbackonagain.

6. CLEANINGAND MAINTENANCE
Thefollowing pointshavetobeconsideredduringtheinspection:
1)All screwsforinstalling thedevicesorparts ofthedevice havetobetightlyconnectedand
mustnotbecorroded.
2)Theremustnotbeanydeformationsonthehousing, colorlenses,fixationsandinstallation
spots(ceiling, suspension, trussing).
3)Theelectricpowersupplycablesmustnotshowanydamage,materialfatigueorsediments.
Furtherinstructionsdepending ontheinstallationspotandusagehavetobeadheredbyaskilled

installerandanysafetyproblemshavetoberemoved.
Inordertomakethelightsingoodconditionandextendthelifetime, wesuggestaregular
cleaning tothelights.
1)Cleantheinsideandoutsidelenseachweektoavoidtheweaknessofthelightsdueto
accumulationofdust.
2)Cleanthefaneachweek.
3)Adetailedelectriccheckbyapprovedelectricalengineereachthree month,makesurethat
thecircuitcontactsareingoodcondition, preventthepoorcontactofcircuitfrom
overheating.
Werecommendafrequentcleaningofthedevice. Pleaseuseamoist, lint-free cloth. Neveruse
alcoholorsolvents.
Therearenoserviceablepartsinsidethedevice exceptforthelamp. Pleaserefertothe
instructionsunder “Installationinstructions”.
Shouldyouneedanyspareparts, pleaseordergenuinepartsfromyourlocaldealer.
