Whenever you remove the Silar
®
rack from the micro ave oven, use caution to prevent personal
injury from occurring. The Silar
®
rack ill maintain high temperatures for a period of time after
the micro ave oven has been turned off:
• Use rack only in the Micro ave Oven for hich it is intended
• Wear insulated mitts henever inserting or removing food from the rack
• Use metal tongs or a metal paddle to insert or remove food
• Do Not remove rack from oven hile hot
• Do Not immerse in ater hile hot
• Do Not clean hile hot
• Do Not cook ra proteins
• Do Not drop
• Do Not use damaged rack (cracked, broken, or loose rods may cause damage or injury

products are extremely durable, and under normal use, require cleaning just once daily.
BEFORE REMOVING THE SILAR
®
RACK FROM THE OVEN, BE SURE BOTH THE OVEN AND
THE SILAR
®
RACK HAVE FULLY COOLED.
Important:
• REMOVE RACK FROM OVEN PRIOR TO CLEANING
• APPLY CLEANERS ONLY WHEN RACK IS REMOVED FROM OVEN
• AFTER CLEANING THOROUGHLY RINSE OFF ALL CLEANERS BEFORE RE-USE
• USE PAPER TOWELS OR CLOTH TO DRY RACK (AIR-DRY IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE)
• DO NOT USE THE MICROWAVE OVEN TO DRY THE RACK
G e n e r a l C l e a n i n g :
Remove cooled rack from oven and place in sink. Use a mild dish ashing detergent, and scrub
ith a scouring pad or nylon brush. Thoroughly rinse off ith ater and allo to completely
dry. Place rack back in oven after rack has dried completely.
H e a v i l y S o i l e d C l e a n i n g :
Remove cooled rack from the oven and place in sink. Spray on oven cleaner and allo to soak
30-60 minutes. Do not apply cleaner on Silar
®
hile in the oven. Clean using a nylon or
medium duty brass ire brush. Before re-use, thoroughly rinse off all oven cleaner from rack
ith ater and allo to completely dry.
For more thorough cleaning, Silar
®
racks may be disassembled.

• CAREFULLY REMOVE RACK FROM OVEN

DISASSEMBLY:
1. Insert flat blade scre driver bet een channel and clip
2. Gently pry clip from channel
3. Remove Silar
®
ceramic rods
RE-ASSEMBLY:
1. Insert all Silar
®
ceramic rods back into channel
2. Insert clip into location
3. Gently press on clip until properly seated on channel

DISASSEMBLY:
1. Remove channel cover by inserting a flat blade scre driver on the end bet een the
channel and channel cover
2. Gently pry channel cover up
3. Only remove the channel cover from one side
4. Remove Silar
®
ceramic rods
RE-ASSEMBLY:
1. Insert all Silar
®
ceramic rods back into channel
2. Place the channel cover over channel
3. Gently press the channel cover onto channel until seated

Your Silar

rack is designed to last for many years and ill not break unless an accident,
misuse, or abuse occurs. If a rod ere to break, a repair kit is available, hich ill include
three rods and a ne clip ( here appropriate).

Advanced Composite Materials, LLC (ACM) arrants to you, the purchaser, that hen operated and maintained
according to instructions attached to or furnished ith the Product, the Silar
®
Micro ave Heatable Ceramic
Product (“Product”) ill be free from defects in material and orkmanship during the arranty Period, subject to
the terms and conditions set forth herein. The “ arranty Period” is t elve (12) months from the date the Product
is purchased by the original purchaser. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF AND
EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WRITTEN OR ORAL WARRANTIES OR CONTRACTURAL AGREEMENTS, WHETHER
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IN THIS EXCLUSION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

ACM does not arrant that the Product ill meet your specifications or needs. You ackno ledge that you are
solely responsible for the selection of the Product and determining the suitability of the Product for your needs.
ACM is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follo instructions relating to the Product’s use. This
limited arranty does not apply to: (a) damage caused by accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, flood, fire,
earthquake or other external causes; (b) damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or
intended uses as described by ACM; (c) cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches and dents, that
does not other ise affect the Product’s functionality or materially impair its use; or (d) damage to the micro ave
oven here the Product is installed. In no event ill ACM be liable, hether as a result of breach of contract,
arranty, tort (including negligence) or other grounds, for special, consequential, incidental, liquidated or
punitive damages including, but not limited to, loss of profits or revenue, loss of use of the Product, cost of
capital, cost of substitute product, facilities or services, do ntime costs, or claims of customers of the user of the
Product for such damages.

ACM ill be solely responsible for determining hether or not the Product is defective. If a defect in the Product
arises and a valid claim is received ithin the arranty Period, ACM ill, at its option, either (1) repair, or
designate a service company to repair, the defect at no charge, using ne , refurbished or rebuilt replacement
parts, (2) replace the Product ith Product that is ne , refurbished, rebuilt or hich has been manufactured from
ne or serviceable used parts, and that is at least functionally equivalent to the original Product, or (3) refund
the purchase price of the Product. ACM may request that you replace defective parts ith user-installable parts
that ACM provides in fulfillment of its arranty obligation. Repaired or replacement parts or Product ill be
covered by this limited arranty for the balance of the arranty Period. Defective Product and parts ill become
the property of ACM. This paragraph states ACM’s sole and exclusive obligation and liability and your sole and
exclusive remedy under this limited arranty. ACM shall not be responsible for a failure to provide arranty
services due to causes beyond ACM’s control.
