Installation Instructions Side Mounted Grass Catcher
Mulching Kit Removal:
1. Remove Mulching Baffle from
mower by removing the hardware along
the front face of the mower deck.
2. Remove Mulching Plate from dis-
charge opening by removing the
Wingnut.
3. Save Mulching Baffle, Mulching
Plate, and related hardware.
4. For mulching operations, these parts
must be re-installed.
Blade Installation:
1. Remove existing Mulching Blade from
‘discharge side’ of mower deck.
2. Save blade for future mulching opera-
tions.
3. Install supplied Blade with flanges
facing up.
4. Re-install with existing hardware and
tighten to 45-55 ft. lbs. (61-75Nm) of
torque.
Rod Bracket Installation:
1. Remove two rear cover guard bolts.
2. Install Rod Bracket assembly as
shown.
3. Re-install two bolts and tighten
securely.
4. Install Rod Hanger into Rod
Bracket.
Deck Bolt Installation:
1. Install 2" long Carriage Bolt into the
square hole on the front edge of the dis-
charge side of the deck.
2. With the head to the inside of the deck
housing, install a 5/16" flat washer and a
5/16" locknut. Tighten securely.
3. Install Wingnut onto Deck bolt with
'wings' facing outward. Install approxi-
mately half way down the bolt.
4. Install second 5/16" locknut until end
of bolt is flush with outside of locknut.
Chute Adapter Bracket Installation:
1. For easier installation, release bag
latches and remove Grass Bag from
Chute Adapter
2. Place Chute Adapter Bracket as
shown and fasten with (yellow) 5/16" Hex
Head Cap Screw, flat washers and Nylok
Hex Nut.
Chute Adapter Installation:
1. Lift existing discharge deflector up and
hold in place to install Chute Adapter.
2. Place hook of Chute Adapter
Bracket around Deflector Chute support
arm and make sure the lower rear lip of
the deck is inside the recessed area of
Chute Adapter.
3. Slide the front section of the Chute
Adapter under the Wingnut on the front
of the deck opening.
4. Tighten Wingnut to secure Chute
Adapter to deck.
