SImx FAN6855 User manual

This product is suitable for use only with a supply voltage of 220-240V AC 50/60Hz.
All electrical work must be carried out in accordance with local and national electrical codes as
applicable. We strongly recommend that this product is installed by a registered electrician.
Always switch the power off prior to installation. A means of mains power isolation must be
installed on the circuit for the purpose of safe access for any internal cleaning, recalibration, or
maintenance.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Any changes or modifications made or attempted to this product, without the prior written approval
of the manufacturer, will void any and all stated warranties.
Do not insert objects into the air outlets. Doing so may be hazardous and could result in electrical
shock.
Do not obstruct the air inlets or outlets in anyway.
Service hand dryer at regular intervals.

MANUFACTURERS EXTENDED WARRANTY
This product is guaranteed by Ventair Pty Ltd for 24 MONTHS from the date of
purchase against faulty materials or workmanship which affects its designed ability to
switch and operate.
During this period if the product has a defect of this nature it will be repaired or
replaced free of charge by Ventair with the same item, or a similar one of higher
specification. ON THE CONDITIONS THAT:
The buyer returns it to the seller from whom it was bought, freight paid.
The product has been bought by the user. ie a receipt/sales invoice is produced as
proof of purchase.
The product has not been misused or handled carelessly, installed in anyway
contrary to the installation instructions, or installed in any unusually exposed or harsh
environmental conditions.
This guarantee excludes liability for discolouration of paint or plastic, or any user
replaceable parts. It does not confer any rights other than those expressly set out
above and does not cover any claims for consequential loss or damage.
Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the Goods repaired or replaced if the Goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Servicing and Maintenance
• This unit must be isolated from the power supply during routine maintenance.
• This unit should be serviced every 3 months or more frequently to remove dust, fluff
or any other build up from the filter inlet and outlet grill areas (see label on unit).
• Do not attempt to disassemble internal unit as this may void the product warranty.
• A factory fitted UVA light sterilises the surfaces of hard to reach air pathways
inside the internal unit.
• Clean housing with a soft cloth and neutral detergent. Acidic or alkali cleaners will
affect surface finish and are not recommended.

Installation Instructions:
Important: This product should be installed by a registered electrician.
Warning: Isolate the power before installation.
Note: This unit must be fixed to a solid supporting wall. Mounting above shelves or
over stainless steel/reflective surface counters may interfere with sensor operation
and is not recommended.
To ensure the ease of installation and subsequent maintenance of this unit, the
horizontal distance to any adjacent wall should not be less than 200mm.
1. Unscrew front shell from the base of the unit using the Allen key provided (Fig A).
2. Align base of unit on desired wall location and mark mounting hole locations for
correct height above the floor (Fig B).
3. Drill holes and installed supplied wall plugs.
4. Fix base to the wall using screws provided.
5. Ensure power cable is connected (plug or permanent) correctly for the site.
6. Re-attach the shell to the base of the unit using the Allen key provided.
7. Reconnect power supply.
8. Check hand dryer operations.

Product Special Features
The stainless steel shell is a 1.2mm single piece “no-welds” construction providing
robust resistance in vandal-prone locations.
This hand dryer is equipped with an automatic heating system. When air
temperature is above 25ºC, the heating system will not operate, but the fan will
continue as normal. This provides an automatic power reduction of 650 watts.
When below 25ºC, the heating system will automatically operate.
To avoid misuse and any chance of overheating, the auto stop function will stop the
unit after 45 seconds (approx).
